Small but safe for this single female traveller. 9,3 Colonels' Retreat was top-class. Enjoyed every moment. I travelled on a work/holiday trip and booked based on internet research. It went over and above expectations, and as a solo female traveller I always felt safe, respected and personally looked after. I will return! Colonel's Retreat was an absolute oasis amongst the chaos of Delhi and the staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. Highly recommended.

They were so welcoming and especially helpful when I became ill the evening before my departure ensuring that I received the proper care. They are also helpful about sightseeing and arranging transport. My room was very comfortable and had a small fridge. I really enjoyed my stay and will return. They have a very nice Spa, and I was able to get a much needed massage, steam and shower. Very nice. Sightseeing/attracties tip: Don't miss the Lodhi Gardens, they are beautiful.

Groepen United States of America, 19 augustus 2012	Comfortable room in a nice location Comfortable bed, spacious and clean bathroom with tub, quiet area 9,7 We didn't spend much time in the room, but it was lovely and very clean and comfortable. Defense Colony is a nice upscale neighborhood with easy access to the metro. The banana bread at breakfast is yummy. The staff also booked us a reasonable cab for the airport.

Its a good choice if you like calm places. 6,3 Hotel location is good its walkable from lajpat nagar metro station. They serve very yumm banana breads. Restaurant tip: Best restaurants are in defence colony. You will have a variety of options.

Individuele reizigers United States of America, 18 juni 2012	Wonderful location, clean and efficient Location, cleanliness, friendly and efficient staff 9,7 colonel's retreat is the best-kept secret in delhi b&bs. located in defense colony's leafy streets, it's a cozy, clean b&b with a home-feel and friendly and efficient staff. breakfast is served family-style either on the balcony or indoors (with aircon!. the hotel provides guests with a useful map of the surroundings and what's available on foot including restaurants, atm, shops, etc. for those with little time in delhi, it's a perfect place at about 30 minutes from the international airport depending on traffic. Winkel tip: Colone's Retreat is a short distance by tuktuk or car to the Khan Market where you can find a range of cafes, restaurants, fashion items, jewelry, books, etc.

This is very clean area of New Delhi. Everything is good, except the staff. They don't look smart too much. It is hard to explane what you need and what you want. Waiters in the restaurant don't remember what you ordered. And don't expect that you can order everything from their menu, as a rule they cook only several dishes. Restaurant tip: Be patient. Try eating outside.

(Echt)paren United Kingdom, 27 maart 2012	Great B&B, excellent service, good area Value for money, service from the staff, lovely breakfast, area 10 i would strongly recommend colonel's retreat. it's a great little b&b serving good breakfasts (including nice banana bread, home-made every day), providing free wifi and good advice. it's nestled in a nice, quite area a quick walk to two nearby markets dotted with restaurants and bars, such as bars are in delhi. the nearest metro station is lajpat nagar, at about a 5-min walk away. best of all, the staff couldn't do enough to help, whether it was in picking us up some dinner from a nearby restaurant on our late-night arrival, or helping us organise tours and other aspects of our later travels. Sightseeing/attracties tip: Masterji Kee Haveli is a fantastic tour to introduce you to insights and experiences in old Delhi which the guidebooks know nothing about. Can't recommend it highly enough.

(Echt)paren Australia, 31 januari 2012	Great stay Really relaxed place and well appointed location. 9,3 stayed 3 days and met some lovely people at breakfast. little bit more like a small hotel than a homestay - no owner hanging around hte whole time so you are more independent. very interesting set up. very easy place to stay, metro not far away. good breakfast to start the day. enjoy.

Der Flughafenist in ca. 30Minuten zu erreichen. Der Service war professionell und freundlich, die Zimmer bequem, schön eingerichtet mit Flachbildschirm und Safe. Das Marmorbad war besonders schön. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen !
