Good base for Kyoto
The price, the room and the location

The hotel was very easy to find as it was visible from the train station, and the area was quiet without any street noise. Its an easy ride into Kyoto and a good base if you are struggling to find reasonable rooms in the city centre.

Very comfortable and pleasant place to stay

the hotel is very near to ishiyama station, just about 4 stops away from kyoto station. the hotel is very clean, and just right outside the hotel, there are a few very good restaurants where sell really nice jap food. near the hotel, there is a river, itis refreshing to take a walk in the morning if your have some time to spare. the hotel provide free buffet breakfast, the selection is pretty decent. the staffs were very friendly and helpful. the day we checkout, it was raining very heavily, the staffs even offered us umbrella. very nice gestures..
