Nice quiet place to stay clean and friendly staff

Our stay was pleasant however the electricity went off during the night which made it very hot, due to the mosquitoes we were unable to open windows and doors. There is no air conditioning.Staff were friendly and the view was nice. The accomodation was very basic and priced fairly high compared to other places in Phuket who provided more comforts.

Budget bungalows. Service so-so.

We chose Sabai Corner Bungalows due to the price. It was a very basic setup. The rooms have a double bed under mosquito net, bathroom is downstairs and is quite dark inside. The location beside bushland means that there are more insects (cockroaches, mosquitos) and there was evidence of rodents also. Some of our things were eaten overnight. Wifi reception is only around the restaurant/reception area. We hired a motorbike at a cost of per day. It had a flat tyre and we were told that it would take an hour to fix (at our cost). We waited for well over an hour and there was no sign of the bike, nor the manager. We approached some of the female staff and they very reluctantly gave us another bike to use. We rode past the repair shop and noticed the bike still there 24 hours later, still with the flat tyre. Lucky we did not keep waiting for the repair! In general, Sabai Corner Bungalows is fine for a short stay, if you don't mind the bugs and rodents. We moved to Villaguna after 2 days and were really impressed with the staff and cleanliness there.
Sightseeing/attracties tip:
My recommendation would be to rent a motorbike from the Tha Khao Pier area on arrival. It will cost only 200THB per day and will remove the need to pay for a taxi to the pier if you leave from there. Koh Yao Noi is a wonderful spot that hasn't been destroyed by tourism. The people are friendly and everyone is very relaxed. Crime rate is very low and we felt totally safe at all hours. This place is an absolute gem and we will definitely return in future. For boat hire, snorkelling tours, and transport to rock climbing walls in the north, talk to Poom at Tha Khao Pier. Her and her husband, Kong, are just lovely.

Nicely positioned bungalows

Sabai Corner has been operating for a long time.
After we arrived I was given the choice out of 3 family
bungalows. I went for bungalow no. 10 as it had a great
view , close to the water. Unfortunately I choose wrong as the
wiring was old and in bathroom/toilet area ( outside bungalow) actually
Quite dangerous.
Inside the air was very stuffy and even after we
opened up all windows it stayed stifling hot inside
which made it hard to sleep. Uncomfortable mattresses
and pillows.
Bedlinen and towels clean and fresh.
No free drinking water
Bungalow difficult to lock.
We ate Thai food at the restaurant which was very
mediocre and we did not try again. Better options around.
As I choose the wrong bungalow I cant give Sabai corner
The thumbs down . Some of the other bungalows look
In far better condition.
Unless you like it extremely basic
With hardly any comforts (read mosquito net) stay away from no. 10
Restaurant tip:
Rent a bike and ride around the island.
You will find a variety of dining spots and for
a quick snack theres always the beautiful bbqued chicken
