Een oase van rust, voortreffelijk eten en drinken, (te) harde bedden 9,3 We hebben hier 4 nachten doorgebracht op het einde van onze thailand trip die een maand duurde. Heerlijk resort met grote huisjes. Ieder huisje heeft een tweede huisje in zich zeg maar. Het binnenhuisje is een soort tent en zorgt ervoor dat er geen insecten binnen kunnen komen. We hadden huisje 8 en hadden een mooi uitzicht over de baai. De zonsopkomst was prachtig iedere ochtend. Het onbijt was erg lekker en het personeel is heel erg betrokken bij hun gasten. Na 1 nacht wisten zij al hoe het zat met de pittigheid van het eten en hoe wij onze eitjes wilden bij het onbijt (je kon kiezen, gekookt, gebakken, omelet etc) ook spraken zij redelijk goed engels. Het eten is echt heerlijk en dat maakt het verlijf ook aangenaam. De fruitshakes zoals ik ze daar kreeg heb ik ze nog nergens gehad in Thailand en alle kruiden en een groot gedeeelte van het fruit en de groente telen ze zelf en volledig biologisch) Er zijn een aantal excursies te doen (dorp bezoeken, jungle walk etc, kano huren etc.) maar het uitgangspunt is rusten en dat kan als de beste bij Tenta Nakara. Ook lopen er op het resort twee ganzen rond en twee superlieve honden. Als je twijfelt of je hierheen wilt zeg ik DOEN!! Wel wat prijziger dan andere resorts maar het personeel, het eten en de unieke ervaring waren het voor wat ons betreft meer dan waard. Sightseeing/attracties tip: Je hebt meer dan genoeg viewspots en alles wordt tot in de puntjes verzorgd.

(Echt)paren Netherlands, 13 januari 2010	super rust!!!! 8,7 Helemaal goed, geweldige plek om een paar dagen helemaal niks te hoeven of te moeten, tent is prima met een goede ombouw, personeel super aardig en het eten is ook heel erg lekker! En alles is goed betaalbaar!Kortom een aanradar om een paar heerlijke dagen vakantie te genieten! E n als je er heen gaat doe de groeten aan de hond!

Groepen Netherlands, 13 november 2009	Heerlijke rust in de natuur Op dit eiland heerst rust (back to basic) Heel vriendelijk personeel en goed eten, verder alles aanwezig behalve stroom en warmwater. 8,3 Het is een geweldig eiland, als je aankomt zie je het ressort tussen de bomen midden in de natuur. De kamers zijn hutjes in de bomen ofwel boomhutten, als je op je kamer komt blijkt het een tent te zijn. Badkamer ligt buiten de tent en het is ook niet aan te bevelen om met schemering te gaan douchen, vanwegen de muggen. Beneden in her restaurant cq receptie gaat om 18:00 uur de generator aan en kun je bij licht een heerlijk hapje eten, ook kun je daar je mobiel en andere apparatuur opladen, om 22:00 uur gaat hij weer uit en krijg je een olielamp mee om naar je kamer te gaan. Wij hebben er 3 heerlijke dagen doorgebracht, echt een aanrader voor mensen die even niets willen. Tip: Neem genoeg boeken mee

(Echt)paren United States of America, 30 maart 2013	Very good stay, but also very hot Very relazing and chill atmosphere, good location relative to Phang Nga Bay, good value 8 Overall, the stay was very good and we are happy we made the stop, but not sure we will make it back. In general, I would recommend this to most people, as long as you are a good sleeper (which we are not). Pros: -The whole atmosphere and attitude of the hotel is relaxing and chill and it is a good place to go to just relax for a few days -The “tents” (closer to a cabana than a tent) are nice and spacious with good bathrooms -We rented a long tail for the day to explore Phang Nga Bay, which was an awesome way to do it, significantly better than being on a large, crowded boat -Food at the resort was generally good, but fairly pricey for Thailand Cons: -It was really, really hot even at night and the fan was small so not too much help, making it very hard to sleep -It was noisy in the morning, due to both natural noises (insects, birds, geese) but also due to construction and landscaping which started really early (like 7 or 8 am) -The cost of getting to the island (taxi and long tail) plus the restaurant being your only dining / drinking option means the resort is actually significantly more expensive than the nightly rate Advice: -Get a tent higher up, the views are much better higher up and the first row tents (“VIP Tents”) have views of a fairly ugly yard, not the water -Do the long tail in Phang Nga Bay -Go to the nice beach 100m to the right of the hotel either in the morning or late afternoon / early evening to get a nice beach without crowds (overrun by day trippers during the day)

Individuele reizigers United States of America, 14 maart 2013	Getting back to nature, away from crowds the tranquility, the ocean, being out in nature 8 After the chaos of touristy parts of Thailand, coming home to the peace and quiet of Tenta Nakara each night was a welcome relief. The staff are extremely sweet, friendly, and hospitable. The resort is beachfront, set into the jungle of a quiet island. There is no dock or pier...long tail boats literally pull up onto the beach to drop you off. Front row rooms are actually set back a bit and you can see ocean through the row of trees surrounding the resort and you can hear the lapping of gentle waves. You actually get a better ocean view from the back row of huts, since they are up the hill somewhat. At sunrise and sunset, there is a symphony of chirping insects. We enjoyed watching the fireflies from hut at dusk. This is a place to have a retreat and 'reset' yourself. The only cons are that it can be hot without A/C and it can be expensive to transport back and forth to Phuket (600THB = about $20 each way). Hotel staff are happy to assist with matching you with others leaving at the same time to share the costs when possible. I enjoyed having a massage in a hut, just a few steps away from the ocean. This is a very special place and I hope to return someday.

Restaurant is a little bit costly and the free breakfast in the morning is not worth. Very friendly and caring staff. Really amazing and breathtaking surroundings. If you want to experience the nature at its best, it is a perfect place and the room rate is quite affordable.

Gezinnen met jonge kinderen United Kingdom, 3 maart 2013	Recommend to anybody who appreciates peace & quiet The room with ocean view, lovely comfortable bed and the oldy worldy bar restaurant 8,7 As always, a lovely welcome on arrival to Naka Yai Island and only 10 minutes by long tail boat. Tentanakara has it all if you appreciate being away from the hustle & bustle of life. The local village is a 20 minute walk, the natives are most friendly and you can get a cheap snack. Day Beach is only a 10 minute walk when the tide is out. This beach drops off day trippers where a few activities can be found along with a quaint bar or two.

Spent two lovely days swimming, chilling out in the hammock and working through the restaurant menu. Only negative comment is that the bed in our tent was rock hard and was so uncomfortable that we didn't sleep well. Tip: Bring mosquito repellent - you will need it!

We had high expectations from the website and reviews and were still pleasantly surprised. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, they make you feel like part of the island family. (Echt)paren Canada, 19 februari 2013	Private secluded bliss Every positive review didn't lie 9,7 it was definitely an amazing getaway with nature and self reflecting. it may be hard to stay more then 3 nights as there aren't much to so even in the village. your literally stranded on an island with one other resort on the other side. the food was amazing and the staff was extremely kind. things to consider is sleeping in fancy tent is still not sound proof incase of crying babies or crazy animals. on the flip some there is extreme peace since there are no more then 16 units and not always filled neither so sharing space with quiet couple will either bore you or bring you bliss depending on your personality. overall 2 nights you would or want more. 4 nights would be too much. Hotel kenmerken tip: Do not throw paper towel in your toilet if you don't have to and get cans of mosquito spray
