Jordan I. (Echt)paren Canada, 5 april 2013	Newly renovated, great value, good location, pool Price, newly renovated, location 8,3 We stayed for 6 nights (March 30 - April 5, 2013). My wife absolutely wanted a hotel with a pool, which narrowed our choice of hotel down by a lot. At 60 euros per night, NH Palermo seemed by far the best value of the hotels that had pools. Upon arrival, my wife was disappointed to see that the pool was green and that the pool area was closed. If you want the pool, you should ask the hotel if it will be open prior to booking. According to reviews and traveler photos, some rooms are newly renovated while others are quite dated. We had room 216 which was newly renovated and very nice. Pros: price was fantastic, newly renovated room was very nice, location was pretty good, breakfast was included and was good, front desk was friendly and spoke good English, fantastic restaurant (Kursaal Khalesa) right next door to the hotel. Cons: wifi was extremely slow and you needed to get a new wifi password from the front desk every 24 hours (which was annoying when staying 6 nights), pool was closed despite the weather being sunny and 20-23C, staff advised us that our shower was causing water damage in the room below us (which didn't bother us of course, but worth noting), certain front desk staff was often reluctant to help with restaurant reservations. If the price is right, I would highly recommend this hotel so long as you get a newly renovated room and do not mind very slow wifi or possible closed pool area.

Formica peeling off the surfaces, bathroom tiles all cracked, bath had a large black stain in ii, taps corroded. Mattresses ancient, pillows scatter foam. Other parts of the hotel seem to have been updated. Breakfast fine, but definitely 1* maximum. End of October, 25 C but the pool shut. Hotel kenmerken tip: avoid until it's all been upgraded.

Salvatore the barman a star. 5 The hotel looked quite nice on approach and lobby and pool area quite impressive on entry. We were immediately concerned by incredibly dirty carpet in hallways and this was also reflected in our room which I doubt had ever even been hoovered. No assistance with luggage was offered which seemed odd for a 4star hotel. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful but seemed constantly undermanned. I told the management on one occasion that the lone barman really neede help but the manager threw his arms in the air and told me he knew but the company only allowed him one barman. At this time the poor little guy was trying to make about 20 cocktails with no ice crusher and I was clearing tables for him out of sympathy. Our rooms were not always cleaned and when they were there seemed little difference. Since I was on holiday I slept a little late in the morning and found there was no breakfast from 9.30. Restaurant staff were generally innattentive and it was a problem to get cutlery. When things ran out at breakfast they were never replenished and everyone seemed in a terrible hurry to get it over with. Management were clearly unninterested because at one stage when the bar had no one manning it. I found the barman and manager outside smoking together in front of the hotel completely unconcerned. This is not a hotel you should stay in unless you are interested in the collection of hookers who gather at the corner of its car park every evening! Tip: Stay elsewhere!

Gezinnen met oudere kinderen France, 9 augustus 2012	service deplorable situation centre ville / chambre propre 6,3 hotel correct dans l'ensemble mais service catastrophique ! peu de transat a la piscine, la plupart casses. le gel douche n'est jamais remis dans la salle de bain ! pour le petit dejeuner, il est difficile de trouver une table propre avec des couverts ! le buffet n'est que rarement approvisionne. un conseil, arrive tot pour avoir de quoi manger. Hotel kenmerken tip: eviter le centre de palerme pour votre hotel. la ville est une gigantesque decharge publique, avec en prime les odeurs.

Sightseeing/attracties tip: molto vicino alle attrazioni turistiche/culturali, si può raggiungere a piedi gran parte dei punti di interesse. sconsigliato tornare la sera con il buio a piedi. serve un taxi

(Echt)paren Italy, 12 augustus 2012	Hotel confortevole e soggiorno piacevole piscina, ristorante, spazio della camera, personale 8,7 A parte qualche piccola pecca nella camera (la prima aveva l'aria condizionata rumorosa, la seconda un rubinetto che perdeva) siamo stati benissimo, il personale è gentile e gli spazi sono confortevoli.
