"The island is very small, only around 90 villas most of which are over-water. Beach villas are lost in the lush gardens, so it looks very green. If you're looking for some privacy, this is the place. "No news, no shoes", you feel totally relaxed - we haven't put our slippers on a single time! Rooms are well-equipped with all you might need with some slight signs of wear (but we did see some renovation works). Still everything works well, big TV helps during bad weather. Room is cleaned twice a day. Dining is ok. Could be better in terms of variety for main course, but you get plenty of fruits and desserts all day long (ice-cream twice a day), so I'd give it solid 4 out of 5 for its price. Water sports are quite limited, but there's a pretty good house reef where you can spend hours snorkeling. This is the first place we've seen so many moray eels, dog face puffer fish and octopus. Enjoyed snorkeling every day! Stuff deserves all the good words, both for friendlyness and attentiveness. Hands down, Veligandu team was the best stuff we ever met at Maldives yet! Including our room-boy Moosa, who did an amazing job every day keeping our Villa fresh and cleaned. Thank you for making our holiday so special! All in all, this is our first island in Maldives we're actually planning to return soon. Room tips. For the low season, west side is more windy and shaky at night, but you get some fresh breeze cool for afternoon sunbathing. East side is calmer and totally quiet, with almost no breeze so gets too hot by noon and you might feel some unpleasant smells because its windless and still water. High season is vice versa, I suppose. Lagoon is better on the west side, you get lots of clear waters with rare corals and the best access to the reef. We stayed in JWV #165 which was perfect for both swimming and snorkeling, as most of 155-174 villas should be. But the reef is deeper on the east side (edge of atoll) where bigger sharks and other rare species are."

"We stayed at the resort for 4 nights and wish it could have been 50. Our room was a water villa and it was set upon a beautiful blue lagoon. The diving and snorkelling is superb - Rashdoo Divers runs dive safaris to Ari atoll when you get tired of the local dive sites. I would highly recommend the resort."

"My two friends and I had a great experience at thoddoo inn! We loved the island, the people the scenery, the food and the excursions. Thoddoo island is not a resort island, it is a village island. We preferred this because we were able to see and experience beautiful scenery as well as the culture. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. The inn is a short distance from the private beaches on the island, to which we rented bikes for very cheap and biked to and from the beaches each day. We enjoy biking very much so this was positive for us. We bought full board and were served all three meals. The meals were great quality and the room was very nice, very clean with a small seating area outside. The best thing about the resort was the hospitality of the people, they were super caring and very helpful towards anything we needed. If you are looking for a fun cultural adventure and superior views, stay on thoddoo at thoddoo inn."

"Hello, Our opinion is that Shallow lagoon Rasdhoo probably is the best hotel on the island Rasdhoo. The hotel is only 2 years old and it seems that everything looks like new. The room that we had was very big and the bathroom was like it use to be in a five star hotel, huge, with multiple source for water in the shower and a control unit that makes it possible to change the light in many different was. The blue “night” light is fascinating! We also liked that the hotel is located in a quiet area of the island and that it’s only 3 minutes’ walk to bikini beach. We decided very late that we should make a tour to Sand bank island and within 15 minutes the staff at the hotel arranged this, very good! The stuff were also extremely helpful and very good to give us information about our many questions. We strongly recommend this hotel! Tomas Hagberg, Sweden "

"We really appreciated our stay at the resort, for our 5th wedding anniversary (without the kids!). The place is really beautiful, and a typical "paradise island" with amazing colourful views (white sand, green water, blue sky). We booked the cheapest room on Agoda and were very lucky to be upgraded to a garden view bungalow when we checked in! The food was really good, with a decent variety, despite the remote location of the island (everything is imported). If needed, there is wi-fi at the main entrance and the main bar (on the water). We did 3 dives: after the check dive, the 2 other dives were amazing (manta ray, turtle, shark, lobster, etc.). Yoga class and snorkeling are organized once a day (free). DVD player (with screen) was available at the reception desk (no TV in the rooms), but I don't know how many of these they have. Maldives are very expensive and we wanted to "limit the damages" wherever possible, but you don't have a choice once you chose your resort. The seaplane is a great experience, but it costs $420 per person for 30 minutes from Male to the resort (and back), and we had to wait for 3h at Male airport. We would probably chose a resort closer to Male airport for a speedboat transfer (north or south Male atolls) if we come back - but we are very happy to have experienced the seaplane once. The buffet lunch/diner are a bit expensive (30/40 euros each; or 55 euros for both, the same day), but you can order a snack at the bar for lunch (around 10 euros) and a great a la carte dinner (around 20 euros). Maybe it's possible to book full pension on Agoda (?). The dive centre is expensive too, around 75 euros per dive with equipment and insurance (but the dive masters are super friendly and professional, and the dives are great). The corals were reproducing, and there was a strong "sea smell" and a red colour floating here and there on the sea towards the end of the stay (apparently the dives are better, but I'm glad we didn't have it when we arrived). "Firstly, wow what an amazing experience. But being the Maldives you expect the best of the best and that's exactly what we got. We stayed in a beach villa which was amazing. It was very private, and intimate. Rooms were clean, and we had housekeeping twice a day. I found housekeeping to have the best timing. Rooms were done by the time we got back from breakfast, and in the evening fresh towels would be brought to us, and bed redone by the time we got back from dinner. Our housekeeping man went above and beyond. Amazing service AAA+ We booked our stay with full board, meaning breakfast, lunch and dinner was provided, as well as snacks and drinks. This meant eating a buffet meal 3 times a day which was way too much food. The only thing I would pick on would be the fact that there was no cappaccino type coffee, and with the amount of money we paid to stayed here, I would expet a coffee machine somewhere on the establishment. Overall a fantastic 5 day getaway for us. Loved it."

"Shafraz is a phenomenal host; he insured the stay was memorable and provided excellent and honest assistance when arranging transport to Rasdhoo and excursions around the island. I would highly recommend staying at this location. If you are someone who enjoys trying new foods, ask to have a traditional Maldivian breakfast opposed to the continental. During the stay I enjoyed snorkeling, night fishing, relaxing around he beach, grilling in the evening, and scuba diving. "
