I quite often stay at arrow and there is never really an issue but this time it’s really wasn’t the best. We stayed in the north tower in a room with a terrace out on the street. There were 4 of us and I’m not sure how it would be regarded as safe to have 4 stay in there as it’s it’s extremely small even with the two bedrooms. The “sofa” bed is a futon that if you roll too far to the edge it tips up. It’s also rock hard. You can hear all the noice from the street which the door does block out a bit of it. Our neighbour was fighting at some ridiculous time of the morning and we could hear all of it, when my sister yelled out for them to please be quiet the fella yelled back and threatened to kick the door in. He hit his girlfriend and then made it out onto the street and got into a fight down there. Some extra pillows wouldn’t go astray especially with the beds being so hard. Usually I would rate this place as the price point is usually good, but it wasn’t for this stay with the size and uncomfortability
Hotel was rather clean, they had like a stand that hung discount coupons for various attractions in Melbourne which we thought was great and also provided facilities like pans, stove and some unique kitchenware which was unfortunately unused throughout our stay. Though, useful facilities like bidet sprayer were not available so it was rather inconvenient to finish toilet matters. Hotel staff were polite but frustrating to communicate with, when we first requested for housekeeping, we were only told that housekeeping was done once every 3 days per their hotel policy. It was only our second day, so we waited. Till the fourth day, we came back to our room, housekeeping was not done at all but only new towels were placed on our beds. And when we talked to the staff, they then said that housekeeping is done every three days and *only when requested*. So why weren't we informed of this when we first asked for housekeeping? Additionally, in their manual, they stated that beds would be made during housekeeping and throughout our ten days stay there, we requested housekeeping thrice, it was done twice and our beds were only made once. Next, there had been an electrical issue in only our room and all electricity except the ones for air conditioning was down. I believe there had been a short circuit as it happened suddenly when we attempted to boil water with the boiler. When we informed the staff, it was around 6~8pm we were informed that all maintenance staff had left work and as all hotel rooms were fully booked, there was nothing that could be done until the next morning. Our devices were almost drained of battery and we haven't showered nor packed anything for our tour booking the next day so that was devastating news. Hotel did not provide any sort of support for us and simply left it at, there is nothing that can be done till the next morning. Thankfully, the electricity miraculously came back by itself hours later but regardless, it was very very disappointing experience.
We stayed in Family apartment for 1 night, and Penthouse for the rest of the stay. It had a kitchen with cooking utensils and plates, cutlery, gas, oven, fridge etc., AC, TV, fresh towels, wardrobes, balcony etc. and the rooms were spacious and clean. Family apartment had a winding staircase and was 2 storied apartment with one room and kitchen on top and another room and bath in bottom. Penthouse was flat structure had a spacious living room with queen bed, convertible sofa-cum-bed and another room with queen/king sized bed. Stay was comfortable and afforable. Location was near to CBD and opp. to Queensberry St tram station with which you go to Flinders st. station in 10mins. Recommend Arrow on swanston, very good stay. Just the con is Checkout at 10am but Checking in time is 2pm. Early checkin or late checkout costs AUD 20 extra.
We stayed for 3 nights and for us it was value for money considering location and amount of rooms plus two bathrooms. It suited our needs. Aircon/heater was in every room. Pls manage your expectations for us we had a wonderful time. But we were in the other bldg , lots of people. Laundry was very dirty but David was very helpful. My boy had an accident and I was really worried but gentleman in shift 1/7/25 was very helpful and given me reassurance. Kitchen had everything we needed but gave it a good clean first. Very accessible to everything!!

“Great for the price!”
Pros: . Decently clean . Cheap for the price we got it at (about $80/night) . Had lots of amenities, as well as appliances in the room . Room was very quiet/sound proof, despite its proximity to a main road and with construction going on not too far away. . Great location only took about 5 mins to get into the heart of the CBD and right in front of a tram stop Cons: . One of the elevators was broken and some of the buttons on the working elevator were finnicky . Had a few issues checking in due to an issue with the booking not showing up in their system, but were quickly ironed out.
