We arrived early (11:00 am ) and they allowed us to check in early without charging us extra , the hotel is high tech and they showed us how to use the gadgets in the room like the T.V , offered us breakfast special pricing if we pre-paid which we did but somehow the front desk failed to put us down for the special promo breakfast deals and we really had to insist which made us upset before they finally agreed! Therefore staff rating is only 3 stars for they 1) Don't understand and pretend they do when in reality they don't leading to miscommunication, 1/2 the time our refrigerator didn't work and they kept sending someone to try to fix instead of just replacing it . The shower was awesome probly the best I've ever had in a hotel or anywhere for that matter. Wish had kids pool ,and play area .

When it comes to hotel rooms, we only have a few key criteria when travelling in South-East Asia: 1. The room and bathroom must be clean, without insect infestations or mould issues. Hot water should always work properly. 2. There must be a reliable internet connection, with an average speed of above 10 KB/s. 3. The air-con must work. 4. Staff must be, at the very least, non-confrontational. 5. The location must be OK (taxis and the like are relatively cheap anyway). The Tune Hotel in Makati not only satisfied all of these requirements; it exceeded them. The room was safe and clean; the internet connection was fast and stable; the staff were incredibly helpful. Having booked through Agoda, all of the extras were including throughout our stay - I highly suggest that you book here, since it ended up being far cheaper than if we had booked everything through the Tune Hotel website's booking system. If you go to the counter, they'll give you an even higher rate!

The breakfast buffet is excellent and the staff are friendly with one exception who must have been having a bad day...she was grumpy with everyone in the restaurant......The hotel is great value for money when compared to its international hotel chain competitors....but choose carefully. Transport in Manila is gridlocked so be sure you want to stay in Makati before you book here. If you want, for example, to be at Mall of Asia or Quezon City there are hotels which are closer to those locations. But if you need to be close to Powerplant mall, the Makati CBD or Glorietta Mall this hotel is ideal. You will not regret staying here its great !

There was a problem that arose from booking through the agoda website. The agoda website said breakfast included. The hotel said breakfast was included only for the adults. Our six year old would be half price or 400 pesos. I showed the front desk the paper copy of the booking showing that our breakfast was included. They immediately agreed. Very professional unlike other establishments in the Philippines, I was truly amazed and told them such. Now regarding the included breakfast, there is Filipino breakfast located at the top deck and what was called a continental breakfast on the lobby floor. They were both full spread breakfast. Unlike other included breakfast offered by other hotels, this was well worth it. We typically skip the included breakfast at hotels in Makati but not this one. Totally impressed. Returning for another five night stay later this week. I believe this is our new favorite hotel in Makati. Five stars.

You can stay at the Shangri La and pay a lot more money, and you can enjoy the aging plumbing and lights in your room. Or you can stay at the Peninsula, and enjoy being treated as a visiting family member. The location is as good as you can have in Makati. The hotel is across the street from everything. The stock exchange, the beautiful park, all the malls, Glorietta, ...You can stay at the Shangri La and pay a lot more money, and you can enjoy the aging plumbing and lights in your room. The view of the Manila skyline is enough to keep you looking out the window in your room for a long time. The hotel and all facilities are immaculate. Not just clean. Spotless, polished, cared for with such pride. The housekeeping staff is friendly and efficient. If you want to go out for only a few minutes, they will have your room clean and cozy when you get back. The wonderful people on the staff make every effort to do their services on your schedule, so you can enjoy your time uninterrupted. The staff at the Peninsula is by far the best asset. Every staff member makes an obvious effort to make the guest feel welcomed, appreciated, and cared for during their stay at the Peninsula. All the facilities are wonderful. The food is some of the best you can find in Makati, and and will be pleasing to all palates, no matter where you come from. The Peninsula hotel is my home in Manila. I have stayed at most of the better hotels in Makati, all of which are very good. I must say though, that the Peninsula makes me feel like I am home, and so comfortable and relaxed. My fiance and I sat outside the driveway at the entrance at 4 am, and sang songs to each other. It was quiet, peaceful, and though there were many security guards close by, they left us alone and allowed us our romantic moments. Thank you Peninsula staff !! You're all the best and most professional in the business.

Due to connectivity issues enroute from the airport I had failed to make a booking in advance, so I arrive without a booking, upon querying rates, I was informed that walk-in rates are no-where near as great deal as with the service-provider Agoda, so I was offered to use the hotel WIFI lounge to make a booking there. This was completed within 10 mins, with the service of the concierge to come to the lounge and ensure that I had successfully connected, and then offering passphrase for the WIFI. Upon completed booking my companion and I was offered chilled water bottles for refreshment, perfect... ! Having booked the Barcelona suite without breakfast, I was planning to spend a quiet evening in the room and then explore the menu of the co-located "Brasserie Boheme" throughout my visit, what a mistake... it all turned out good in the end, but not without a bit of torment. The room was amazing, and the staff among the best hotel staff I have ever encountered, the few minor shortcomings were quickly wiped away by the cordiality, friendliness and not least the professionalism of the staff in both the hotel and the brasserie. It turns out they were in the middle of updating their menu, and therefore weren't able to deliver a consistent and satisfying result, until the very last order I made (which due to the hassle I had been through during my stay, was offered complimentary). They are this week implementing the new menu, and promised to have it in place upon my return apr. a week from now. All was however forgiven due to the supreme quality of the last order (a Steak Pavarroti) and the service minded staff who made a lot of effort to compensate for the lack of consistency in the servings. To our suprise our hostel was in the middle of a very scary area, we felt unsafe the whole time so decided to upgrade to a better area and better accomodation. We booked the Eurotel Makati and we were so happy. it is a very big hotel, with proper security. The staff were wonderful, they even printed out our ferry tickets free of charge. The room was stunning, the only downfall is when having a shower it completely soaked the bathroom floor as the flooring wasn't on much of an angle for it to drain quickly down the plug. But that was honestly the only downfall. I'm not sure if the hotel is good in terms of location as we did not explore at all during our stay. We did feel alot safer than what we did in Malate though. woukd definately stay here again.

I stayed a week a the St. Giles and, found it to be a nice hotel for the money, but not a 4 star hotel as some sites have rated it. The PROS of the hotel are that it is a new, clean hotel, with a great staff and a good location. They are not suitable for a couple. The bathrooms, as well are uncomfortably tiny. The room was very bland and basic, no decorations, not even a clock. Internet is also not free. It costs 300 pesos a day. Having to pay for internet when many hotels offer it for free is a deal breaker. It also lacks the subtle touches of a 4 star hotel, such as robes and slippers, 4 pillows on the bed, and a refrigerator that is stocked, not empty. Even the lobby, especially when full, was very cramped for space. I would highly recommend this hotel for a traveler who does not need a lot of space, or thrills. I feel it is more a hotel for someone in town for a couple of days and will not be in their room much. The Deluxe rooms are around 27 sqm, so if you need more space, upgrade. The 4 star rating sets the bar a little too high for what this hotel actually is, a very good economy hotel at a great location. There is nothing wrong with that and if a traveler checks in with that in mind, they will not be disappointed, but if you are expecting a 4 star hotel, like the Marriott, then you will leave feeling something was lacking. Still, I was satisfied with my stay overall.

Rate is quite low for a Deluxe and it looked really new and spacious the room was equipped with all the basic amenities and it also came with free wi-fi. Holiday Inn is a wellknown hotel in the world needless to say, however, this hotel in Makati is a brand new and superior than the Holiday Inn I have experienced in the USA. I would recommend this Holiday Inn for the traveller who is looking for an accomodation closer to the hotel one class higher but do not wish to spend for same. The standard at Fairmont I'd more like 7 stars. It is such a clean hotel, inside and out. I did not feel cautious walking around barefoot in my room bc it was that clean. From the person who opens the door, the front desk, bellhop, housekeeping, servers, bartenders, room engineers, driver, etc., EVERYONE was just fabulous. They are all willing to go out of their way to make sure you have everything you could possibly want or need. The food at the Spectrum restaurant and Macaron cafe were our favorites. We ended up eating at the Macaron cafe sometimes twice a day, as not only the food brought us back but the warm and caring staff that tended to us. The service here is nothing short of exceptional and I wish it was the standard at every hotel. We even utilized their ride services. The hotel remains in touch with the driver pretty much the entire time to ensure the safety of their guests. The location is also prime, walking distance to other restaurants, bars, shopping, and even churches. I'm currently on a trip for vacation and will compare other hotels, but so far, the Fairmont is my favorite and has my highest recommendation.

We made the right choice. Price and location-wise, this is the best hotel in the Makati area. Daily housekeeping available, staff were all courteous. I enjoyed my stay in aruga hotel. I'll definitely come back. The hotel lobby is very clean, so relax , nice smell , staff are very efficient and helpful. It's a very exclusive hotel and very peaceful . Upon arrival there were available staff to help us with our bags . We checked in smoothly. With their price it's more worth it than any 5 stars hotel in makati. I strongly recommend to try this hotel .

We just had our overnight stay at One Pacific Place last Oct.9-10,2012. Although I have read a negative feedback on this in trip advisor, we decided to give it a try because 1) it is just a walk from my husband's office (LKG Tower, Ayala) 2) I found a good discount for this in Agoda.com and 3) I read the General Manager's reply for the negative feedback in the same ...We just had our overnight stay at One Pacific Place last Oct.9-10,2012. Although I have read a negative feedback on this in trip advisor, we decided to give it a try because 1) it is just a walk from my husband's office (LKG Tower, Ayala) 2) I found a good discount for this in Agoda.com and 3) I read the General Manager's reply for the negative feedback in the same site that says "Our hotel is now fully completed, fully opened and is into full operation." We confirm that we have now experienced the Hotel's fully operational room and service. It is clean and I can say that what you can see in the pictures posted are what you can actually expect. It's elegance is similar to Somerset Millennium or even our favorite, New World Hotel in Makati. Except of course that the space is smaller (as expected because of the significant difference in price). We got a Studio Queen room and I think that the room layout and furnitures are well organized. The aircon, tv, blowdryer, bidet, etc are apparently new and functioning well. The staff provided us with excellent service. I am giving One Pacific Place Serviced Residences a general rating of four out of five because I am happy with our stay (just reserving one spot for future improvements).

Taxi is cheap, about 200-400 pesos only when travelling between 2-4 km on a very slow traffic zones already lol It’s still great to travel and taxi around metro Manila’s finest and cheapest. The hotel staff were great, friendly and accommodating. Sadly on check in times at that time, theees only one staff on reception although she managed really well, the system slightly affected as I have to wait few minutes and my roomaircon was leaking. Eventually I was transferred to similar room. The rest was bliss!!!!! Food is great.

In either case, you're within walking distance to many restaurants offering great variety of food. Hotel has a gym that wasn't as well equipped, but not many people using it so not a problem there. No pool unfortunately but i wasn't there to swim so it didn't bother me. Internet connection is available in-room and was included in my booking with Agoda, but the speed was rather slow and i could hardly get onto facebook games. There's a 24-hr convenience store 2 doors away on the left of the hotel where you can buy basic amenities, stock up your mini-bar fridge, etc, but don't expect to get things you'd normally get from a full-blown supermarket. Hawkers set up stall just outside the hotel at night and you get pretty good beef noodles for a very cheap price. If i'm going back to Manila, i'll definitely stay here again.

I have been a guest of this place, I called home for the last 15 years or so. Every time I visit Manila, this is my home away from home. It used to be a mom & pop operation... It is so personalized the owner normally was in the vicinity everyday to see day to day operation. When I say "Clean" it's clean, I have to mention this, I have not seen a single cockroach in this place. Unlike some major 3/4 star hotels. Motiff is all white and brown, white means clean, squeaky clean. I couldn't wait to go home @ night to crisp new linen and a pleasant smelling room. Taste, Decor and interior has simple lines, minimal and impeccable. There was a transition of management to sir Anton from her mother. And so he kinda turned it to a Boutique Hotel. Everytime I visit there's always something new going on. There's a good restaurant and there's a tiny bakery. This place is one of my "Best Secret Hideaway"

Ive spent 2 new year’s eve here in the mini suites and that was before when the pool and gym is still not operational. Now that the pool and gym (although very basic) is already accesible to guests i can say that this is one of the best hotel in makati- considering its price, location and facilities. I really liked this hotel in Makati. It is not too expensive and I felt that it offered good value for money. I liked the safety boxes, which were put in our rooms upon our request, and the 24 security. I also liked the fact that it was easy to find this place. The older part of the building does sem to get an occasional cockroach or two. The rooms are clean, so the roaches must come from the old pipes. I would simply ask to be in the newer wing of the building. Aside that, no complaints.

The Best Western was a nice and convenient hotel in Makati. The rooms were well kept and had a nice bathroom. The room service was nice. I was able to order a very tasty hamburger at 3 am and the price was very reasonable. It's location has it positives and negatives. There are also several nice restaurants that are opening up around it, as well as, the inexpensive fast food places. It sits in the heart of the Makati redlight district, which is a positive if that is what you are looking for, but is a negative as well, because (for men at least) as soon as you step out the door you are being solicited by a young woman, or young man dressed as a young woman (a ladyboy). It is only a 10 minute ride to the Greenbelt Mall which is straight up Makati Avenue. The Greenbelt is a nice mall with plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars. There is also another mall (whose name eludes me) that is within a 10 minute taxi ride from the hotel. In all, it was a nice hotel and one that I would have no problem returning to on my next trip to Manila (Makati).

The hotel was quiet however the room can take some noise from the corridor. You can buy shampoo water etc from the corner 24hr open shop as the hotel doesn't supply enough. The friendliness of ALL staff. It’s a guest’s advantage to stay in Astoria Greenbelt. It being a small hotel in Makati (5 floors) became its best asset because the service is super personalised. Staff attend to every needs of its guests. They didn’t scrimp on toiletries. The towels, bedsheets and robes are clean and smell good. Our room is always thoroughly cleane...The friendliness of ALL staff. It’s a guest’s advantage to stay in Astoria Greenbelt. It being a small hotel in Makati (5 floors) became its best asset because the service is super personalised. Staff attend to every needs of its guests. They didn’t scrimp on toiletries. The towels, bedsheets and robes are clean and smell good. Our room is always thoroughly cleaned (we stayed 10 days. Breakfast is always good. Everyday my husband and I look forward to have breakfast (we are both not breakfast people). And everyday we are satisfied with the food. Astoria Greenbelt, you’ll be seeing us again in December and this time we will bring our 2 kids too! You have just become our chosen hotel when we are in Manila.
