Almost hotel in Koh Rong Sanloem start with 35$-100$ but some place is not valued. I stayed only one night here at beach front. It’s perfect I don’t want to go to anywhere because bar, beach and sea set in front of me!

Exceptional”
I stayed in one of the bungalows and absolutely loved it. I booked quite last minute, so this was one of the only reasonably priced options left. It had a lower rating but I decided to take a chance. It was everything I wanted and I could not have picked a better place to stay. It is the perfect place to stay if you are a solo traveler. Staff are super friendly, and the owner, Sam, is lovely and tries to get to know all his guests. Tree bar has a great vibe at night. They play music, have quiz nights, clay pot piñata, and more! It is THE place to have a drink in the evenings if you want to meet people and don't want to go to bed at 8! Note: Agoda calls this a resort but it is actually a hostel! There are still private bungalows, which I stayed in, but it is probably not the best atmosphere for people wanting to go to bed early.

The bungalow is situated right in the centre of Saracen Bay, perfect location for the beach but during our stay there was very loud construction work just a few metres away! The bar is a few metres in front of the bungalow and has loud music until midnight, but is awesome to hang out at. The water in the toilet, sink and shower was yellow and dirty, but I think this is the same all over the island. Just make sure to brush your teeth with bottled water! Lots of mosquitos around, and sand flies on the beach. But overall a wonderful, relaxing stay, with a chilled party atmosphere in the evenings

Great if you just love the beach and are not looking for a preppy hostel inside which to spend most of the time. In front of the beach, literaly 15 steps from the beach to the room, with a nice beach bar. They also have aircon dorms.

Great place, good hygiene and good dorm”
This is a very good hostel especially for the price you pay. Perfect spot right next to the way to lazy beach. Nice staf. You have a bathroom in your dorm. Everything is good clean. You do lay on plastic though.

Needs Repairs, Maintenance and Better Management ”
Understandably due to COVID-19 lockdown for months and no tourists this place was hit hard. It was hardly open for a month and and had barbone staff and services available. The bar, rooms and areas around the premises clearly is in dire need of repairs and proper maintenance. The path ways were not cleaned, rubbish was just piled up next to the bar area. The room was big, but with the bare minimum, a bed, bedding, mosquito net and one side table. No place to hang or pack clothes. No hooks in the room or bathroom for towels. Also no safe. The open shower was nice, but some of the leave cover as a wall had holes. The basis drain was blocked, the toilet seat loose from the hinges. The bamboo floor boards around the toilet were loose and some mushy, being a danger of stepping through. There was no Wifi and also not a key for the door to lock the room. The location is great and there the cabins amongst the trees feels like being in a part of a forest. There is only one cabin with a beach view that is close to the bar. The rest are all back between the trees. As the cabins are from wood and bamboo outside noise are very audible even from other cabins. Kudos to the one staff member and his 2 friends that tried to keep the place together and running with little support from the owner that was not onsite. I will not book there soon, even with a discount price untill the place and service has been fixed up.

A great location, but that is all!!”
Ko Rong and Ko Rong Sanloem are very expensive islands. the accommodation along the beaches on Sanloem is way overpriced compared to many parts of Vietnam or Thailand. We paid $50 a night for a fan bamboo hut, and for the three days we were there, we received NO housekeeping whatsoever. There always seem to be plenty of people around with "STAFF" on the back of their T-shirts, which is just as well, as you would have no idea they were supposed to be doing any paid work at the resort. I realise it is a dorm type of resort but they do have 4 of these huts and at $50 a night, I feel something like the waste bins at least should be emptied. Not a good choice in my opinion.

super cheap, super basic. dorm room very sandy, fan doesn't work too well, shower stopped working mid shower. no hot water or decent wifi like the rest of the island However beautiful location and good option for budget backpacker just be wary of the staff - one guy was quite forceful when trying it on with me which kind of tainted my experience

Above average”
We were meant to stay for three nights but checked out immediately after the first night. The owner blasted obnoxious basey (and terrible) music from the bar until midnight and refused to turn it down. It could even be heard from the very back bungalow (he moved us closer to the back away from the bar after we complained several times in one hour. The new bungalow did not have a working shower and was right next to the generator which was equally as loud as the thumping music). I was woken up at 6am when power tools started up a few meters from our bungalow at a construction site. You can’t even enjoy a beer on the beach because of the construction noise. Nearly all staff were hungover, grumpy and incompetent. Wouldn’t be surprised if the owner encouraged them to party with him, which seemed to be his number one priority. Do not give this guy the satisfaction of having your money. His business deserves to fail.

(-) only cold shower, the bunk beds move to much when one person turns side, the sheets smelt bad, the room smells bad because of the bathroom, no wifi in the room. Its a wooden bungalow with many holes so dont be surprised if huge geckos live in the room too. (+) Great location on the beach, good wifi at the bar, quiet if you are in a room away from the bar Overall there are better options on the beach at the same price point.

Great location but lack of cleaniness ”
The location is great by the beach, cool bar and friendly staff... my bed sheets were disgusting, hair, sand and dirt all over it, no idea when it was changed for the last time, the guy below me said there was many rats running on it the night before, about the rats, hard to sleep when you keep hearing their noise around you, super hot dorm, no electricity during the night so the 2 fans the dorm had were not on, toilet had no seat and no toilet paper, second day there was no water to shower... cool place but they should pay more attention to cleaniness
