The location, room, breakfast, spa, and pool were all excellent. While we were out during the day, they lit aroma candles in our room and terrace, which was a thoughtful touch. They even burned mosquito coils under the table on the terrace. The pool was almost private, with clean water and unlimited use of umbrellas and chairs. The spa was in a luxurious room and provided ample relaxation. The breakfast buffet offered various dishes from Malaysia, China, India, Thailand, and more, all of which were delicious. The staff was always kind and answered our questions in English, even if they were not fluent. Overall, it was a fantastic hotel.

My wife and I stayed at Casa Del Rio Melaka for our babymoon from September 21st to 23rd, 2024, in a Deluxe Lago room, and we loved the hotel so much that we extended our stay until the 24th! The hotel’s location by the river made for a peaceful and romantic atmosphere, while being just a short walk to Jonker Street allowed us to explore the area easily. Our Deluxe Lago room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and offered a calming view of the lagoon, which made our stay extra relaxing. The room was spotless, big bathtub, and everything was arranged perfectly for comfort. We'd like to give special thanks to Ali and Nana from the front office team, who provided such warm and personalized service. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Additionally, we'd like to extend our gratitude to Aidil (trainee) and Wayne from the F&B team, who made our breakfast sessions delightful. Their attentiveness and professionalism each morning made a great start to our day, and the teh tarik quickly became our favourite! The service, room, food and hospitality are beyond amazing. Very helpful staff who are super informative. The sat night grill food at the river cafe is amazing. We usually avoid hotel food, but because of these "street stalls" we decided to try other dishes and we are not disappointed. Room is clean, they supply everything that you need. Very comfy bed. But the light switches can be confusing. There is like a main switch by the bed that you can switch off all the lights. But if you want to switch on the bathroom light. Naturally you have to switch on that main switch first. I fumbled through the switches as that switch was at my husbands side. 4am shouting match to get the lights on. Gym needs a bit of an update. Machine was making a bit of a noise. And its pretty small. There is a huge space outside which can be used. Pool is ok. Overall we enjoyed our stay

It's a nice hotel but the people there make it really special, from the security guards, front desk, restaurant to the manager. The guards are courteous, diligent and alert when they should be. The check-in was quick, comfortable and felt very welcome. When we complained of noise from repair works on a unit upstairs, the people from the front desk apologised profusely, stopped work immediately and showed their sincere apologies with a gift. The breakfast spread was wonderful and the restaurant crew shine like their colleagues, they serve sincerely with smiles. A senior manager, very politely, drops-by our dining table every morning to ask about our stay. Very nice gesture. Thanks for the great service and wonderful memories.

On the 22nd of December, we arrived at Casa Del Rio to a heartfelt reception from the staff, setting the tone for a delightful stay. A welcome drink promptly quenched our thirst, with Redzuan efficiently managing our check-in process. The smooth check-in took only a couple of minutes before our room was ready, ensuring a seamless transition into our accommodation. En Idris graciously assisted with our luggage, also taking the opportunity to share recommendations for activities during our stay. Venturing to the third-floor pool, we were met with complimentary drinks and fruits, enhancing our experience. The infinity pool's breathtaking view left a lasting impression, complemented by a thoughtful nightly service to repel mosquitoes, ensuring our comfort during the night. On the second day, we requested a shuttle to Dataran Pahlawan, and the manager in charge, En Faiz, went above and beyond by personally chauffeured us. Seeking a room upgrade, we engaged with En Ali at the reception, appreciating his attentiveness and accommodation. Despite his efforts, the high demand during the season meant we couldn't secure a room upgrade. This, however, did not diminish the overall quality of our stay. Reflecting on our time in Malacca, Casa Del Rio stands out as a memorable choice for accommodation. It has earned the position of our preferred hotel, thanks to the exceptional service and amenities provided. A sincere shout-out is extended to all the staff, whose names may have slipped our memory but whose outstanding efforts were instrumental in ensuring every guest experienced a truly memorable stay. Casa Del Rio has left an indelible mark on our travel memories, and without a doubt, it will be our first choice for future stays in Malacca.
