"We stayed in a twin room, which had two semi double beds, so could accommodate two adults and two children, if you're not too fussy on space. there was only one English speaking staffer there during our stay, but we made progress with my broken Japanese and a lot of writing of numbers. The hotel also accepted our Taqbin bags, a delivery service we used to send our bags from Tokyo to Chitose so we didn't have to lug it around ourselves. Staff excellent, included breakfast buffet with a mix of Western and (mostly) Japanese food was awesome (and meant we didn't need lunch during our travels as a bite of most dishes made us very full!). usually a type of egg, meat, potato mochi (was told a specialty of Hokkaido which the whole family loved), Japnese vegetables and macaroni or potato salad, rice, miso soup, canned fruit, orange juice, tea and coffee. Used the onsen on the 14th floor which is small but feels great, and we made use of the relaxation room with its drinks vending machine and massage chair and automatic feet massagers. Less than a five minute walk to the train station with direct connections to the airport and Sapporo, less than five minutes' walk to the local Aeon Mall where we picked up snacks, drinks, omiyage, some amazing sushi bentos, and where my son had a Subway sandwich, Japanese-style in the food court. There's also a Mister Donut and Morimoto's there, with their famous cakes!! Also a sit-down diner, ramen-ya and yakiniku place within a couple of blocks, with a small park near for the kids to unleash a bit of energy at. The hotel was definitely a pleasant surprise as when I booked it, I had never heard of Route Inn before. We found several air crews staying there, and the chain is a partner with the J-League, the Japanese professional soccer league, and we also met members of a professional baseball team staying there. There's free espresso in the lobby at certain times of day for guests, and we decided to take a taxi to Chitose airport on ou"

"The location is very strategic if you want something near to the new chitose airport. It is situated 2mins walk from Chitose JR train station (not the new chitose airport JR station). The staff are very helpful and friendly. The entire hotel is consider clean and the main reason we choose this hotel because it provides very early free shuttle service to the airport as our flight schedule was 9:35a.m.. The hotel is near to Aeon shopping mall and Rera Outlet Mall if you want to go for shopping. Rera Outlet mall (2mins walk from Minami Chitose JR train station) is just one stop from Chitose JR train station which cost JPY170. The room is well equiped with heater, huge TV, comfortable bed, quilt, toiletries, tea and water boiler. "If you're looking for a great little airport hotel in Chitose/Sapporo Int'l. Airport (CTS) this is the one! I've stayed at many airport "terminal" hotels and this is one of the best. Located at the DOMESTIC TERMINAL (JAL - Japan Airlines side) this small terminal hotel packs a big punch. Great service as can be expected from Japanese staff. You can leave any large/heavy bags down in the lobby (recommended as rooms are also typically small but clean and not much space to move around). The rooms are literally right on top of the boarding gates. Look out your sound-proof double-glazed windows and you'll see airplanes docking right below you. A nice little touch is you can bring your luggage trolley right to your room front door and leave it there so you have your own trolley the next morning to bring your bags back down if you have any. Breakfast is "okay" - but if you have time, better to just go into the Domestic Terminal 3rd floor and has great dining options. Beware they don't stay open 24-hrs. There is a free airport ONSEN (Japanese spa/bath) if you are a hotel guest. Get a ticket from the front desk. Onsen is in the airport terminal so don't walk in your bathrobe. But an amazing classic onsen for an airport! Great stay."

"We are pleasantly surprised by Best Western Plus Hotel Fino Chitose in multiple aspects. The hotel is in the town center of Chitose, 7 minutes ride to New-Chitose Airport. 7-eleven around the corner, JR Chitose Station and Aeon mall 5 minutes’ walk away. Room is brand new and bigger than other Japanese hotel. Cleanliness is remarkable. Reception and valet staff are friendly and polite. Parking is reasonably priced at 800 Yen per night. Overall, we are very pleased with Best Western Plus Hotel Fino Chitose and would highly recommend anyone who visits Chitose area or turnover for the night from the airport to stay. Cheers :)"

"We stayed at Queen Chitose Hotel (at Minami Chitose Station, walking distance from the train station) as to catch our early flight next morning. The hotel provides airport transfer but need to reserve 1 day before. It was a pleasant stay. Although the room is small but clean and the bed is comfortable. It is fine for us, I find it very cosy. The hotel's lobby provides complimentary coffee, hot bath facilities, coffee machine in the room and free Wi-Fi in the room. Chitose Outlet Mall Rera is just one station away (at Chitose Station). "Unlike most Japanese hotels, the ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel in Chitose has rooms of decent size. In addition, their bathrooms were also roomy and stylish. From my experience, most Japanese hotel rooms were glorified closets with coffin like bathrooms. I understand the space requirements, yet if Hong Kong can have hotels with more spacious rooms on smaller real estate, so can Japan. The staff were very helpful ,and their English was satisfactory enough to facilitate service. Best of all, the hotel is in a nice, quiet location next to the Aeon Shopping Mall, Chitose Train Station, and across the street from major restaurants and retail facilities. I will definitely go back there again nest time."
