Should Be 5 Stars! Amazing Hotel.”

My stay at City Garden Grand was faultless. The hotel is incredibly modern with great quality finishings throughout the hotel. I stayed on the 22nd floor in a Premier Room, situated in the corner of the building. The views over Makati and the rest of Manila were fantastic. The room was of high quality, with a lovely well lit bathroom. Breakfast was nice (however I felt my egg was undercooked so was left to the side) and my dinner on the rooftop bar was gorgeous. I recommend the cocktails up there, a good price too (Only 200 php!). I organised a driver service through the hotel which was very helpful and a safer option than the public taxis - an affordable price too! The City Garden Grand is certainly underrated at only 4 stars. I'm currently living in Dubai and I feel the standard is equal if not better to some 5 star hotels in the UAE. I highly recommend the hotel to business travellers, couples & solo travellers.

If you need to be in Makati...its an obvious choice”

For years I have come to Manila and stayed in the City Garden Makati Hotel which is across the road from this one. The grand Hotel is everything that the older Hotel is but just what it says ....much more grand!! Now we have chandeliers in the lobby and a magnificent roof top pool and restaurant with stunning views over Makati. The rooms are great, new and provide great views of the area. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the staff are friendly with one exception who must have been having a bad day...she was grumpy with everyone in the restaurant......The hotel is great value for money when compared to its international hotel chain competitors....but choose carefully. Transport in Manila is gridlocked so be sure you want to stay in Makati before you book here. If you want, for example, to be at Mall of Asia or Quezon City there are hotels which are closer to those locations. But if you need to be close to Powerplant mall, the Makati CBD or Glorietta Mall this hotel is ideal. You will not regret staying here its great !

Fantastoic Hotel In The Heart Of Makati”

Upon arrival outside the City Garden Grand Hotel, it looked new, classy and elegant. Our bags were kindly taken from our cab driver and brought inside by the hotel porter. Check in was a breeze and there was no major hurdles. Our hotel porter, took us up to our room and also taught us how to use the free in-house Wi-Fi which was a pleasant experience. Although our room was average in size and we didn't have a splendid view, the room was fairly luxurious and felt new, clean and modern. This is because the City Garden Grand Hotel is a fairly new hotel that only opened in the past year or so. We did not use the hotel amenities, however the rooftop pool and bar/restaurant had splendid views of Makati. The three key elements we really enjoyed was the hotel location, the service (the hotel staff always ensured our cab drivers they flagged down had their meters running and ensured they knew where they were taking us) and the peacefulness and comfort of the rooms.

Nice Value in Manila”

I have Stayed at City Garden Grand 4 times over the past year. I am a former customer of the sister hotel City Garden across the street. For the slight increase in Money I would stay at the City Garden GRAND as the older hotel ( CITY GARDEN)..is a bit tired and over priced. I gave it a lower mark for location only because of the dodgy neighborhoods nearby, ( see Burgos st.) and the crazy traffic on Makati ave. A Ideal location would be closer to GRENNBELT Mall. (6 blocks away) but if you stay in that GRENNBELT area you will pay a premium price. Al in all CGG is a good value, with a GREAT breakfast clean rooms, and a nice pool on the roof. I will stay here again.

Way to start a New Year with a bang!”

Celebrating New Year has always been with family. My partner and I wanted to celebrate the new year as well as our 11th year anniv. together to be different this time. With just a few days of vacation from the stressful work schedule, we were hoping for a relaxed and intimate celebration together. We were initially browsing condo units for rent/airbnb and other 3-star hotel then a friend suggested City Garden Grand Hotel. It was a bit over our budget but what the hell! Let's relax with style :) Staycation Galore! - Elegant Hotel,huge clean classy rooms. - Pleasant and accommodating staff (from guards to the front desk, elevator operators and waiters) - Location is very accessible to restaurants and malls. - Hotel had the greatest view of fireworks. Glad we stayed at this hotel. Got what we wished for and more! Thanks City Garden Grand Hotel!

Love This Hotel Staff Location and Facilities”

From the first time you walk in the doors of the CITY GARDEN GRAND you feel like you are in a luxurious hotel. Staff all smiles friendly happy and willing to help. Large rooms beautiful views roof top experience like no other in the Makati area. Love the hotel staff location facility and the value for the money is well worth every cent. My premier hotel whenever I am in the Manila area. Hotel staff keep up the good work and excellent service because it is all of you which brings the life to the positive hotel environment / experience :)

fantastic hotel”

We loved staying at the City Garden Grand Hotel. Location is good; about 1.5 kms from Greenbelt and Glorietta Malls, much closer to night life and restaurants. Rooms were very comfortable, clean and efficiently laid out. Water pressure and flow rate on level 22 was unbelievable, especially for Philippines standards. Staff was very friendly. Buffet breakfast was fantastic. Very good view over Manila from the pool area on level 32. Be careful with the odd 'submerged wall' in the middle of the pool though; it is about 10 cms under water and I almost swam into it, which would have hurt....

Very Nice Hotel and Great Value for the Money”

City Garden Grand Hotel is a very nice luxury hotel. For the price, you can't beat it. Although Agoda has it rated 5-Stars, it really is more of a legitimate 4-Star Hotel (like a Hyatt or Marriott), not that this is a critique. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable and equal to the more expensive 5-Star brands. The location is great. The Century City mall is next door. Rockwell Power Plant Mall and Greenbelt Mall are about 1 mile away and Fort BGC is a 10-minute car ride. There are restaurants, bars, and nightclubs a plenty nearby. The rooftop restaurant and pool area are outstanding. I definitely would stay here again, especially at the rates they were offering.

Great but unknown for the district. ”

Great value for money, especially with the promo. But unknown that was located in a red light district.. The hotel was classy for such a district, which pleases me.. The ground staff was friendly for the door men, all the way to the room service . The hotel tries to appease all my request, and offered a free upgrade as I had fear of the situation in Philippines as it was the period of the virus and lock down of Metro Manila.. The staffs kept a calm out front to maintain their responsibility in their scope.. Which is difficult as everyone will be worried about themselves and their families.. Philippines, all this will pass.. Keep up the good job City Gardens Grand Hotel and all the great staffs on the ground..

Exceptional”

City garden grand hotel is located in a very good.location....the ambience is good and staff friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and well equipped with basic.necssacities. On the negative side Service from the house keeping slacks quick response. A fast laundry submission was not observed....It took so much longer than said and no communication between guest and housekeeping were maintained until guest called.to find out what happened. No slips were.put under the door and it turned out payment was the issue for not delivering.....I am a guest there for 5 nights surely some levy could be given if I was not in.... Once paid.housekeeping still did.not send the so called.express.laundry which by then has way passed.the express hours.to.receive my laundry back.....So.once again guest has to call to demand.for.the laundry back.... No attempts of.course was done to implement a discount on the severe lateness...neither was there an apology.... Overall the stay was good.

Relaxing stay and warm service”

Location is at the center so transportation (I would recommend Uber or Grab) is very accessible and easy. The customer service experience is excellent and the staff are very helpful and hospitable. The price of the food at the Spice restaurant is just a bit pricey and same goes with Firefly roof deck. But food is not a problem because you get to pick your choice of restos around the area. Overall the experience is really great and I now could validate all the positive reviews for this hotel. Great job City Garden Grand hotel staff!

A bastion of sanity in a crazy city”

Manila is hard work at the best of times. Whether you’re travelling for business or fun you need a good hotel that removes you from the horrible traffic, the equatorial climate. When you walk into the The City Garden Grand you feel sealed off from the craziness. The great staff, the bar, the pool, the gym the restaurants are all so well run you feel refreshed. Lesser hotels don’t give you that sense of being sealed off from the tiring life in a big city. I personally loved it. One of my all time favourite hotels. In fact it was so good you need never go out of the hotel. And extremely well run.

The roof top pool is the icing on the cake! ”

The hotel is in the heart of Makati, a busy business district in Manila. It may take a while to get there from the airport due to all the traffic, but its definitely worth it when you get there. The hotel is very modern and grand. It has a good gym which you can get a great workout in. The main attraction for this hotel is the roof top pool and bar area. With 360 panoramic views of the area it makes it a great place for photos and evening cocktails. The rooms are amazing. Very glamorous and has international plug sockets which are perfect if you have electrical goods from the UK. The bathroom is really spacious and has a waterfall style shower head I would recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again when I'm next back in maila

Very satisfactory”

Room was very nice, comfy and clean. Food was very good as well (had the noche buena buffet at Firefly roofdeck and availed of the breakfast buffet on Christmas morning). Staff were very nice and responsive as well. As someone who frequently spends the holidays in the city, our stay was within my expectations. Although, we were a bit disappointed since there was no fridge or electric kettle (most hotels we've booked in the past readily had those, but I guess I was expecting...too much?) Also although City garden grand is considerably LESS expensive than most 4star hotels with similar (good) reputation, if you're a cheapskate like me, be prepared to still burn holes in your pocket. In summary, very satisfactory. Stay was well within expectations and still a good value for money all things considered.

Very nice Hotel”

The City Garden Grand hotel is located in the hart of Makati. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. this hotel is runned very proffesional on international standards. its a nice upgrade from the City garden hotel accros the road. Rooms are clean and quiet.

Beautiful rooftop”

We really enjoyed our stay at the City Garden Grand Hotel. The staff was very friendly and always said hello. The room was very clean and cozy. We enjoyed the view from the rooftop restaurant and wished we had more time to spend there. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet. There was so much food to choose from and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. I would definitely stay here again. The only thing I would do differently is not book the airport transfer. We heard horror stories about the traffic, so we decided to arrange a van. It was unnecessary for our early flight and a cab would have been much cheaper.

Excellent Hotel in a great location”

City Garden Grand Hotel sits opposite its sister hotel City Garden which is tailored to the more value oriented customer. CG Grand offers large guest rooms, nicely furnished, king sized beds (a little too hard for the foreigners back), and large full bathrooms. It's very nicely done! Restaurant on level 7 is nice. Closes for breakfast 30 minutes too early but the food is wholesome and offers delicacies for the regional pallet.

GRAND weekend and birthday celebration”

It was an awesome stay. Glad I chose to celebrate my daughter’s 16th birthday at one of their suite. All employees are very accomodating and made sure that we had a pleasant stay. The room is spacious and clean. We enjoyed the pool and the 360 view of our city. Breakfast has a lot to offer for the price we paid. We will stay here again and will recommend them to our friends and family. Thank you, City Garden Grand hotel!

New Year's Shindig”

Make sure to indicate City Garden "GRAND" Hotel if taking a taxi from the airport or the taxi driver will drop you off across the street to City Garden Hotel. You get what you pay for staying at this hotel: rooms, facilities, ambiance, and attentiveness of the staff were first class. Book early for the New Year's Eve bash. Not a clear sight of the pyrotechnics across the Pasig River, but you will still be amazed by the pyrotechnics.

Excellent and recommended stay in a great hotel”

I would definitely stay in this hotel again the next time my family and I come back to the Philippines. I would also recommend this hotel to all my associates, friends, and relatives who would go on vacation in the Philippines. Definite value for money and excellent and friendly staff. Even though Philippines is in the middle of a pandemic, that did not prevent us from enjoying our stay in City Garden Grand Hotel. Kudos to the staff and management for making our short stay well worth, regardless of the situation and our limited stay.
