Where to stay in Koh Kong
Koh Kong hotels & accommodations
I love the quietness of the place and the natural view of it.
The Apex Koh Kong Hotel is great value for the price of the accomodation. It is in a very central location - not good if you're a light sleeper, as it's directly next to a disco dance club - within walking distance of the shore, markets, restaurants and bars. The staff was very friendly, polite, and made an effort to make the guests feel comfortable. The rooms were s...
Can't find a better deal in town. It was the best guesthouse for $10-15 range. Nice hot shower with good water pressure (which you don't always find in Cambodia). Staff was really nice, although only one spoke English, so you may need to know a little Khmer to communicate with the other staff. Incredibly friendly. Room was clean - no cockroaches or insects like in othe...
koh kong city is a pretty small place, serving as a base for short-term excursions or going on to thailand, about 8 kms away. the koh kong bay hotel is a simple place located on the river. the rooms are basicly furnished but comfortable and have small balconies. there is a pleasant restaurant overlooking the river, and a decent size pool. the friendly staff at recept...
Within the context of all of the guesthouses in Cambodia in which I stayed, Thann Tay was among the top 10% considering that the price was absolutely reasonable. The room was clean, the A/C was cold and the shower was hot. What more do you need? Perhaps, you could ask for a restaurant close to the entrance. But, Koh Kong isn't exactly a haven for modern tourism. If you...
Overall it was very basic as expected. No food or drinks served. Probably furtherest hotel from main street (~15min walk), however at night time it is a very dark walk. No staff around so don't expect any service or advice....no one speaks english. If you do find staff they will help the best they can though.
This place is very very noisy..staff always shouting at each other from one end of corridor to other...they have family members and friends using rooms who are very noisy!!no security at all....broken locks on room door not safe at all!!!
Koh Kong Island Resort was great. The island is very untouched so the remoteness of the island makes it more beautiful. The journey there from Phnom Penh is a long one, including a bus and a boat ride but the boat ride from Koh Kong really wasn't too bad. The food and drinks at the hotel were great, occasionally some items were limited as the island didn't have foods. ...
Our stay was so comfortable here. The young man at the reception desk took care if our motorbike at nights. The beds are the most comfortable with the best linen you'll get. A previous reviewer complained about being too far from the shops but there are shops all around here (though all really small). If you rent a small motorbike and use this place as your base I can...
i stayed at the white sand beach for 2 nights and i felt very very comfortable! the staff is nice and the huts are clean and beautiful. but the best was the beach! i was alone there for 1 day and night - pure relaxation!! i suggest this resort to everyone who likes to have a quiet stay with no tv or internet...:)
Koh Kong City Hotel was a satisfactory base to discover the delights of Koh Kong and surrounding areas. The rooms are comfortable and clean but very basic. Try to get a room on the ocean side for the view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Close to the markets and other attractions.
This hotel is great location and clean cool A/C , WiFi it worked great clean bathroom for sure . A little over $10 per night it not bad except one thing if you looking for place to eat it not that many in Koh Kong to choose ( small city ) . AAA+ from me room ,location, Secure.👍👍👍

Real reviews for hotels
Koh Kong is great place over all, and is growing. They need to clean up their river front, and put some trash cans around.
it nothing big you can stay at the hotel and rend motor for visit place you want for example saferi world or thai border and other place in koh kong .
Very nice to stay at night beside the bridge around the harbour. Enjoy the real fruit shakes or fruit juices instead of the softdrinks.
It is place for short stay. Check prices out care fully with those restaurants, They could get into your pocket very deep.
Koh Kong is ok for a overnight stopover between Thaiand and Sihanoukville or Phnom Penh. There isn't really anything to do in the town, but is starting to become popular as a base for eco tourism, but I cant see that's its taken off yet.
This is a great place to go for a quite, peaceful break from the city and work. Great food and very friendly people.
koh kong is like a secret place coz if you know about here something you will missing it coz much better then big tourist places like sihanoukville or phnom phen
The area is poor and the infastructure reflects this so it gives koh kong a sense of danger. Dont trust motodrop drivers only use them for one journey and always agree on a price first.
nothing to see nothing to do corruption everywhere the locals say the casino hotel owner owns almost everything that is why the laws are ignored the only interest is parting you from you money as quickly as possible avoid this area of cambodia until there is less corruption there
Uninteresting town, but venture further afield for forests, kayaking, waterfalls and breathtaking views.
Once again, this is a transit area between Thailand and Cambodia, you do not com here for anything else but changing bus.
Small coastal town close to the boarder with Thailand. Good place to see some nature and rest up before going on to bigger and better destinations.
There are many tourist attraction in Koh Kong. Those are:Cham Yeam Resort( Area of Hotel and casino), Chi Phat, Kbal Chhay or Koh Por, Kbal Chhay Prek Koh Waterfall, Kbal Chhay Waterfall, Khun Chhang Khun Phen, Koh Moul Resort (Koh Kong Krau), Koh Sdech, Lam Da Beach,Prek Chik O'srey Sranash,Sner Beach,Veal Achaut Waterfall, Ta Tai Waterfall andresort.
The city itself isn't the attraction (which is the surrounding nature) however if you just arrived from Thailand you still can get a feeling of the Cambodian life.
extremely small and quiet city right 10 minutes inside Cambodia from thai boarder, is a transit place to go visit the sorounding areas, good and very particular nature, even beaches to islands and 1 hour away busy city
