"i was checked in at the 25th july (at the afternoon) and stayed for 3 night at this hotel. i only have 2 days full to explore maldives are thursday and friday, saturday on the 28th i left to the airport at 7.30. well anyway after checked in, i booked 2 packages, one day snorkeling + island hoping and one day tour to resort. first problem, there was one guy whos working at the hotel and he really unpolite, never smiles or just say hello and just ruin all my schedule, all the packages that i booked with him. he just gave me bad experiences while staying there. for my first trip to island hoping and snorkeling was messed up, he didnt call me in my room after im waiting (because this guy didnt know that my first day actually for snorkeling and island hoping but he brought me to the office for the resort, it because he nanager didnt tells him, so stupid communications. thats why we were so early, because he tought im going to the resort) and so after im lated for 45minutes. im in my room waiting and he didnt make a call and he blamed me and says i was slept (stupid) and after he sent me to join another snorkeling trip that only half day without island hoping and the bad thing they didnt give my money back from $45 full day to Half day that cost $25. so i have $20 in this hotel. well noted this is my first trip. and it was the time i just tried to be calm because it was my first day and my first time in maldives. okey now the second day that also my last day in maldive, after i booked a full day trip to the resort, the hotel sent me to another resort that i didnt booked and i get back to the hotel without any solutions from the hotel (the guy and his manager just doing nothing) they "dint care at all" with our situation and condition as a guest, i paid all the packaged but they didnt organized us well, they just take the money. they have zero responsibles of us, they only know just arguing or fights back with their stupid thoughts. and after all i asked my money back ($10"

"We had a memorable stay at WhiteShell Island Hotel & Spa! Went to Maldives and decided to stay at a local hotel at Maafushi. The inital decision was to stay at WhiteShell Beach Inn but we made a mistake during the booking. But little did I know that it was a pleasant surprise - That both the WhiteShells are actually under the same management; if you were to stay in Island Hotel & Spa, you will get to enjoy the facilities at Beach Inn as well. Also, we were there to celebrate my husband's birthday and we can sense the effort that the team at WhiteShell Island made for us when the request from us to go to one of the island resorts the next day was late. Yet the team made all the calls and offered alternatives to us when our 1st choice could not be fulfilled. What was even more endearing was they prepared a cake for my husband the next day! It was one birthday that my husband could not forget - Celebrated his birthday at one of the island resorts as well as having the whole team at WhiteShell Island to wish him happy birthday! This is one hotel that allows you to enjoy all that Maldives can offer and yet provides a personal touch. We will definitely stay at one of the WhiteShell again when we visit Maldives! "

"We were trying to do the Maldives on a "budget" and this definitely gave us the best bang for our buck. Ibriham, filled us in beforehand on everything we might need to know, and he was continually there to answer all the questions we had about the islands, what to do, what to eat, etc. We arrived on a Thursday into Male airport and took a speed boat to Maafushi Island. You can take the public ferry, but the morning ferry was canceled and the next one wasn't until 3pm. It is only about $2 to take the ferry, but we didn't want to wait around all day, so we book the speedboat which was $200 divided by however many people went with you (it could seat up to 7). Definitely worth the money. We arrived to Maafushi, checked into Stingray Beach (with a nice refreshment waiting for us) and were on the beach before noon. Because this is one of the inhabited islands there is no alcohol, and when you're not on the "private beach" the you must be covered from your neck to your thighs (no bikinis). It's a small price to pay. The staff at Stingray Beach helped us book whatever excursions we wanted and they had a whole list of options. We did the sandbank one day, which was great. The snorkeling was amazing (we saw a sea turtle among other things) and we were set up with a cooler and a huge umbrella for shade. So fun. Ibriham also hooked us up with a dive shop near the hotel, so we were able to do 2 dives. Great service, again. The food at the hotel was out of this world. The menu was very extensive and everything we ate over the course of our stay was excellent. We were worried when we began the trip about how we were going to pay for things and how much money we needed to take out of the atm at the airport (because there are no atms on the islands) but we were able to charge everything to our room: food, drinks, excursions, dives, etc. and then we could pay with our card at the end of our trip. It was very convenient. "

"Just returned from 9 days at this island resort. This is a very well run efficient resort. We did not have all inclusive as we prefer to eat in the other 4 restaurants. The staff here are delightful, very helpful and friendly. We did a few excursions, Manta ray snorkel where we saw lots of Mantas, another snorkel trip and the sunset dolphin cruise. Drinks are very expensive as they are on all the Maldive islands. The house reef is spectacular, lots of sea life including black tip reef sharks and sting rays and lots of colourful fish. The sea is turquoise warm and clear. Would definitely recommend."
