Where to stay in Mexico City
Mexico City hotels & accommodations
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel though I stayed only 1 night unfortunately. due to the time limitation. I recognized that the hotel is * very clean * spacious * good staffs * comfortable * good locartion I will stay again if I visit there.
this hotel has everything you can wish for, except free wi-fi, which is a bit strange since most hotels in mexico city offer free wi-fi and still are less pricey than the the hilton reforma is charging per night. difficult to find out why. hilton policy? but the location is great and the room, spacious and silent, with a spectacular view (if you are high up) is perfe...
I will return to this hotel whenever I visit Mexico City the next time .... great location. Good breakfast buffet
Great hotel with excellent service. Room was so clean and beautiful. In s lovely area. Highly recommend. We missed the breakfast because we were too busy exploring Mexico City but it looked outstanding
Due to weather delays, I arrived very late and had to leave early the following morning so I only had five hours at the hotel. But it was a restful break, much needed. I did not eat at the hotel as time did not allow for that. The only complaint.....sound proofing. During the night I could hear what I think were announcements from the adjacent terminal. Ear plugs would...
The couples massage was perfect. It was the best. The entire staff completed the weekend. I rate this as the best hotel experience I have ever experienced.
Perfect hotel for a short stay in Mexico City. Right on the Zocalo and easy access to everything. Very nice accommodation for the price.
Pros 1:location and shuttle service 2:Complimentary :Coffee and Pastries for on the go Breakfast 3:WiFi 4:Easy walking access to Terminal 1 5: 10 min shuttle drive to Terminal 2 6: Gym 7: Starbucks and ATM located in Courtyard Cons : 1:Rooms could be more affordable 2:The exchange rate US -Pesos is higher than the market rate 3:Hotel does not accept US Doll...
Located in the historic city city offers this hotel the charme of the last century. Nice, clean rooms and nearly located of the big temple and the cathedral of Mexico city. The hotel also offers a restaurant and a nice small lobby bar
This was my first trip to Mexico City in many years, and the W hotel did much to make all my concerns go away - and made my week long stay very comfortable indeed. Well located in the Polanco neighborhood - close to the highways - but also to great restaurants and shopping areas - the W hotel is a relatively small hotel offering superb service all around. To mention ju...
Too noisy: dogs barking, water pump on and off day and night, windows facing the stairs you could hear conversations between staff and other clients Poor privacy you must keep all blinds shut hot water on and off no phone close to bed no TV service (only netflix)
Hotel El Salvador is located a stone 's throw away from the historical centre of Mexico City , very walkable , approx 5-10mins . Even through the neighbourhood it is located in is not as commercialised , we see police patrolling and don't feel unsafe . The hotel is clean and modern . There is wifi and computers for use. Only problem we encountered was that almost all...
Good location, correct hotel, nice and professional staff, poor breakfast choice. Agoda should make sure that the reservation staff get briefed about the payment so do not charge us as we already paid through the platform.
safe hotel in mexico city! 7-11 nearby
I had a very pleasant stay in this boutique hotel where the staff was really nice, the room very functional and spacious and the hotel is ideally located in Condesa, a very nice area in the center of Mexico city. I had my breakfast every morning with the sun on the rooftop. And there is a washing machine and dryer in self service for free, awesome. Uber takes you anywh...
We did not know Mexico City and needed a place for one night before going on southward. We took a shot in the dark and were delighted by the result. The hotel is two safe blocks from the central square of Mexico City -- Zocalo -- and a very quick walk (<10 minutes) to the pedestrian zones for shopping restaurants etc. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room, ...
Great stay. We had to catch an early morning flight and were coming from outside Mexico City, so we decided to stay there and loved it. The restaurant was OK but the staff were very friendly, the rooms are very spacious and well appointed, with modern decor. There were a couple of minor shortcomings, like there being only one robe for two people and no slippers, but ev...
The hotel is very convenient who needs to stay or has business in Col.Santa Fé, Deleg.Guajimalpa. this area has several business offices and also a shopping Mall, one of the biggest and high end in Mexico D.F. Nice set up, nice people and decent service, honoring the 4 stars they claim.
It is next to the USA Embassy. It is an older hotel, but up to date and next to the USA Embassy, so no fear of any problems that would occur.
I find it perfect
Stay was absolutely perfect, great hotel by all merits, attentative staff, excellent rooms, design, really top notch hotel... only minor was not linked to hotel itself, Presidente Masary is being renovated and it is very hard to walk with the extra baggages on your way to hotel
Location is excellent, plenty of bars and restaurants within a block or two, and the hotel is stylish and modern, we got the junior suite which was perfect. We did have an issue with staff waking us up at 12:30am to offer us more water which was odd and frustrating. Breakfast was average but overall I'd stay there again. If you're wondering where to stay in Mexico City...
We only stayed 1 night but it was a nice stay. The hotel is a little hard to find as there is no signage. It is a very quiet and relaxing place to stay with good service and a great happy hour deal on drinks.
A nice hotel within easy and safe walking to historico area even at nightfall-We didnt feel worried once . The staff were friendly and helpful
I want to give the Casa Gonzalez a favorable review - there are many things that make it the perfect place to stay. Location for us was perfect. Short taxi rides to most places we wanted to visit and a leisurely walk to many neighborhoods like the historic center, Chapultapec, Roma, Condessa. Countless bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel has a very secluded feel, ...
Love this place as it is walking distance to all the places we want to go & also accessible to most of the hot spot in Mexico City. The room is small as compare to the other hotel we have stayed in but it is still comfortable. There are free breakfast everyday & we were happy that they provide different Mexican dishes every morning so that we can try them out. It is in...
This hotel is centrally located in "safe zone" area of Mexico city called Polanco. I stayed in club level room so I do enjoy the benefit it brings including breakfast in 39th floor where I can view the beautiful Mexico City in the early morning. The service is good and attentive. The breakfast comprises of quality food but the variety is quite limited and no salad at a...
The room was clean, the location was excellent(you can have access to the metro, Zocalo square, the National Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral) and staff were kind and friendly. However, the room didn't have a mini fridge, so I couldn't keep my water and drinks cool in hot weather in Mexico. Also, every night when I came back to my room after my schedule, I had to...
-Excellent breakfast, perfect location for easy mobility via metro or bus. -Very close to COYOACAN, lovely area for a day or night out, dining, people watching, etc.. -Very clean and well designed spaces. Staff helpful and friendly but not pushy. -Occasional power outages (for seconds) strange, but other than that it was a perfect stay.
I was fly to Mexico City from USA... I had only hand baggage, and I found and I come to hotel with out taxi.. Hotel, ok it's colonial fashion, but to old! They should do renovation!!
Cheap places to stay in Mexico City
The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent suggestions to compliment plans we had already made and ideas for free time during our stay. Location was also excellent, right in the historic city center within walking distance of a variety of dining, entertainment and cultural options. We attended two of their tour packages that included an evening trip to a luch...
Impressed with the room size and cleanliness! Fantastic location in the heart of Mexico City within walking distance to many attractions. Friendly, helpful staff with continental breakfast options. I would highly recommend this hostel - felt more like a hotel for a fraction of the price! Thank you!
Great location. The neighborhood is a bit active at night. Soothing view to a?classical urban park. Rooms are spacious and clean.
Sexually driven area, lol. But quite an experience. This hotel is modern and clean, but also known this hotel accepts clients and their Johns.
Walking distance to the center of Mexico City and inside of luxuly mall, the hotel is located on the perfect spot. However, once in the room it looks old and not clean, so it was a bit disappointing especially when it had been perfect until lobby and the pics of room is so nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and when I don't speak spanish and it's not easy ...
The place with sofas are just at the dorms entrance and people stay here all the night to talk sometimes with music, this is bad and not possible to close one of the door so we have light aswell. The receptionists are good and the bathroom not bad, the cleaning women spend a long time to clean everywhere everyday. Good location.
Easy access to hop on hop off bus stop, convenience shop and authentic mexico restaurant. Don't expect much on the room facilities, they r selling location. Room have no fan, Tv channel not much selection and it old fashion Tv box. Breakfast not much selection but it give you full enough. To be fair for hotel, overall staying here is still acceptable.
The room is great. The location is perfect, simple one buss ride to Roma or city center. Restaurant nearby. Perfectly safe. The staff are super nice as well. However the walls are like paper thin and I don’t know but the other guests were sooo inappropriate. They would open their doors at the middle of the night and then continue to have loud conversations with music a...
Couldn't believe we could get a place this good in a capital city for this price. Huge room with king sized bed, nice bathroom, toiletries, cable TV, Wifi. Location was OK - about 15 minutes walk from the Metro with bags and closer to the Metrobus and local buses. Good cheap eating options nearby - if you feel like a change from Mexican food try the creperie across th...
I couldn't find here easily, The location is also not so good. Public areas are clean, but the covers are not clean. And Many Mexicans are living here, so I could make local friends and got an informations easily.
Booked three nites and stayed only one nite., then left. The space in female dorm is relatively small, my bad luck to be arranged close to the door and I was the last one to check in, so everybody just put their stuffs everywhere and around my locker, I had to move their bags to open my locker, and clothes were hanged everywhere, I didn’t have any space to just hang a ...
close to the airport and the train station. The room rate is cozy too! and the owner is super nice, helpful and responsible. i got late check -in (1:30am), but the owner, Verenice, still waited for me. she fave me her whatsapp, so that she can offer help immediately anytime. Below accident can show how good the ower is. i forgot to take my room key with me to the bat...
It's a 7- minute walk from the airport, so very conveniently located if you need to fly, and don't want the hassle of riding the Metro or using a cab or Uber at odd hours. The neighborhood is kind of grubby, but did not seem terribly unsafe. I walked to the airport in the dark early morning hours, and nobody seemed interested in me. Friendly staff, and there's always f...
Bed bugs; I was itchy the whole night and felt things crawl on me. I even put down clothes and towel to sleep on but it only helped a little. The room was stuffy and no ac or fan. I open the window which helped a little bit u can see right across from neighbor and increase noise. So I woke up with many mite bites on my skin which confirms there where mites in the bed :...

Average. The restaurant service was very slow - it took me 25 min to get my breakfast delivered as my order was lost somewhere. Had difficulties communicating in English.
clearn room. good smells linens, comfortable bed. Additionaly, this hostel's orner, Ablaham is really kind. mucho gracias!
I loved staying at the Suite Lerma. Very clean facility with nice staff. On a great street with tons of restaurants to choose from, and a 5 minute walk to the Seville metro stop. One block away from the main avenue. The room was on the smaller side, but I felt was a great value considering the price. Would recommend to my friends.
This is a charming old-school hotel with typewriters and rotary phones. No frills but, unlike other such hotels in Mexico, it's clean and almost everything works: the shower has 24 hour hot water with excellent pressure, the beds are clean and comfortable, and the location is central. Negatives: Wi-fi connection in the room was not very good, but it worked. Also, lots ...

Sorry to say, but I broke my arm about a week before I was scheduled to go to Mexico City, so naturally I had to cancel...HOWEVER..I found your company excellent and I will certainly be using it in the future once I have recovered from my injury. A tired hotel resting on its laurels whose assets are being sweated. Nothing wrong with that, so long as you get a good price on the room, in which case highly recommended
this is a great deal if you are a non pretencious person, and you are just lokking for a nice affordable place to stay. is very well located, kind of hide but one st walk from reforma av. and about 15 min walking to downtown, chapultepec and other nice areas clean, not fancy, minimum ammenities(just soap, and drinking water) witha nice pool onn the roof,a huge plus to relax...
This hotel is located on a very busy avenue, lots of traffic but traffic noise is very suppressed with the construction, not a problem. Walking distance to subway station, restaurants, etc. Good and friendly hotel staff. if you have to be in that area, it is probably the best. Has ample parking and restaurant. I surely recommend and will return as necessary
Hotel is far from Zocalo which is fine with us since it's our 2nd visit to Mexico City. It is close to the subway station which is convenient. The room is small but fairly clean. We stayed an extra 3 hours after check-out time since our flight was at 7 with no extra charge, thanks to the generous owner,
Bed and the room was very comfortable and clean. It was like a home instead of a hotel room. Location was near to metro and metrobus. Staff and owner was helpful.
For someone's first time in Mexico City, this would be a good place stay. It is god location to go out and look around the city. There so called gym facility was horrible and smelled just as bad. Clean rooms and a very comfortable bed! The staff are always amazing! I have stayed here twice now. Ubers find it hard to find you, so walk out the front and around the corner and you will be fine! Good hotel in a good location

Superb hotel! The staff are fantastic - very helpful and friendly. The rooms are beautiful - very clean and comfortable. We booked this place following great reviews, but unfortunately had disappointment following disappointment during our stay 1. After making the reservation we realised the bathroom was outside the room. It wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the website and when we asked to cancel the hotel declined; they did however offer us to upgrade the room for more money. Not cool. 2. ...
For the price that we paid it was not worthy..
Location is good and very convenient.
This was excellent value, in the heart of the old city but with delightfully quiet rooms. It appears that all roms face an inner courtyard. No interesting views, but peaceful sleeps. Staff were helpfull. The dinning options are not much, but there are heaps of alternatives within close walking distance.
As we stayed several times at the Marlowe we know what we get for the price: A nice, clean room which is centrally located in Mexico City. From here you reach within minutes public transport, centro historico and restaurants.
when i travel to mexico city, i always stay at the monaco. it is a gem of a hotel with quality you would expect at a higher price. it is near the alameda and walking distance from the zocalo and the central historical district. the in-house restaurant is good and the waiters attentive. one indication of the quality is that i have only ever seen mexicans in the restaura...
It was my first stay in Mexico City, arriving late at night, so I decided to reserve a hotel in advance. It's a good hotel, nice rooms, clean, good restaurant. What was somehow strange or a kind of "disturbing" are the 2 lions in the small cage in the park in the middle of the hotel complex. The cage was cleaned every morning, food and treatment seemed to be good - but...
Absolutely loved this place. Was in a beautiful part of Condesa. We stayed in the smaller apartment and loved it. It was so quiet even though it is close to the road. I was passing through Mexico City and had half a day between flights and wanted a hotel with some decent running nearby. The university area and the botanical gardens fit the bill. Standard business hotel with a very American-sounding check-in person. A bit far from the airport but if you arrive off-hours or on a weekend it is still a pretty quick 200 peso taxi ride fr...
The staff will try to make you as comfortable as possible as soon as you walk in the door. Highly recommended if you want to be pampered.
The only complaint would be it is in a seedy area and we did not like to leave the hotel to find a decent restaurant. The hotels was poor.
The rooms are beautiful and perfectly clean supplies with everything you need. There is a roof top patio also beautiful and clean. My only concern was that for the price there was no pool or exercise room. But there is a spa next door and location is perfect. Would stay there again.
Beautiful boutique hotel. Trendy, cool, and unique. Staff was very helpful. Great food and drinks! HIghly recommend!
Very gay friendly hotel, which I appreciate. Lovely place, big rooms, nice staff, good location.
Room was clean, staff were very friendly, opposite Starbucks coffee for my morning brew and the gym was 24hours with all facilities intact, which was wonderful.

Lack of English (whether speaking, signage, etc.) is biggest problem here. Too bad because Mexico City has a lot to offer - museums are outstanding.
Mexico City is a very big city and its overcrowded, lots of pollution and dirty. But the people is nice and friendly and slow.
My original plan was that I visit the teotihuacan pyramid. I could do it. It was amazing so I'm pleased but I didn't find other notable thing in Mexico City.
Worth visiting for several days, to cover all most interesting places: Zocalo and surroundings, Museum Frida Kahlo, Museum of Anthropology, nearby Teotihuacan.
Just wonder around and you will find all kinds of interesting sights. My favourites were: The anthropology museum, the main cathedral, the pyramids (teotihuacan), Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe (new and old), Frida's house and small art galleries dotted all over the city.
Really big city don`t be afraid you can feel safe nice view from Torre latinoamericana and you must see piramides Teotihuacan
great metro system and very cheap ticket. i love the diego rivera murals - you can find them at the museum, the city hall, and at other municipal buildings - hidden treasures!
I went there alone, means I have to be very careful and skeptical as people told me, so I recommend to bring friends if you go there.
Mexico City is a very exciting place with many things to do, crowed as every city in the world but very interesting, history, modern luxury, shopping, etc, etc, simple the best
If you know a little spanish and do some research about the metro and what you want to see this is a great vacation city.
This was the first time we visited Mexico City and we were pleasantly surprised about all the great things the city has to offer.
Mexico city has so much history and culture. There are many neighbourhoods to discover. Main area is the historico city centre.
Vibrant city with so much to see. Getting around once you have sussed out the busses and trains is very easy and inexpensive.
Mexico City is huge and there are many areas to visit. We stay in the Polance area which is upscale with many good shops and restaurants.
not many speak english, so learn few spanish phrases, sometimes people are aggressive, quite an expensive city, dont ever travel during elections.
This city is unexpectedly safe, so I think we do not need to worry about the safety too much. There are lots of police officers in the city.
