Red Fox Hotel Delhi Airport
Indira Gandhi Int'l Airport,New Delhi and NCR - View on map
"This hotel is great! Clean, well maintained, lovely staff, beautiful and comfortable rooms, and very conveniently located near the airport. This is my second time staying at this hotel and both times have been stellar. First time I came with 2 other friends for a quick stay between connections in India. I wanted to check out the hotel for my solo stay on my return journey home bound. This time I arrived as a solo female traveler and am staying 2 nights, departing at 4am of the second morning for my international flight. I arranged for a car pick up from the airport upon arrival, and was greeted immediately out the gate by a Red Fox sign with my name on it. Last time when I came with 2 friends we took a prepaid taxi from the airport together. The prepaid taxi from airport is about 1/2 the cost (+/-300 rupees), but being solo and arriving at night, I chose to pre-arrange for a hotel car pick up instead (+/-600 rupees). ALL the hotel staff are gracious , friendly, hospitable and very helpful. There is a nice cafe in the hotel which seems to have an ongoing buffet at all hours. The dining staff are also very sweet and happy to chat up a solo traveler dining alone. Mona Lisa and Yashpul were my kind servers today. Last night I had another young man server who was also very kind, but I did not catch his name. I highly recommend this hotel if you need a place to stay in New Delhi. "

ibis New Delhi Aerocity - An AccorHotels Brand
Indira Gandhi Int'l Airport,New Delhi and NCR - View on map
"Ibis at the Aero City in New Delhi Airport area is super convenient. With its good price, you have a clean and modern, newly-decorated room with ensuite toilet and shower. Bed is very comfortable and the room has all basic things you would need i.e. water, towel. Staff at the check in was efficient and polite. The best part is its location which is only 5 minutes away from the airport terminals if you go by taxi. To check in and go through security check in Delhi airport is a real nightmare with their slow and inefficient service. In March 2019, it took me almost 2 hours from getting off the taxi to arrive at the gate. It's wise to stay here if you have early morning flight to catch. Ibis is relatively cheaper than other good hotel in the Aero city."

The Park New Delhi Hotel
Central Delhi,New Delhi and NCR - View on map
"I stayed in 3 hotels in New Delhi and this was the best one (it was also cheaper than the others). The food is very good. The hotel is within easy walking distance of a metro station in a fairly safe area. The pool area is quite nice and relaxing. I did have an intermittent problem with power in my room and I was moved to another room when one became available. Sometimes I got slow service in the restaurant."

Radisson Blu Marina Hotel Connaught Place
Central Delhi,New Delhi and NCR - View on map
"Even though location is right at the heart of Connaught place, the whole atmosphere of the area is spoiled by the road construction. There was hardly pedestrian walkways. Despite the surrounding, the hotel was excellent. Check in was very smooth. Because they had no superior room available, our room was upgraded to business class. Person at the travel information desk was particularly helpful and even walked us to the post office and translated for us. There was another travel agency that provided slightly cheaper trips to Agra and also in New Delhi, but their guide brought us to 2 different rug stores run by his friend, even though we made it clear we don't want and don't need any. It was annoying. The room we stayed in was relatively clean. But the wash basin looked like it had not been washed for sometime. "

Holiday Inn New Delhi International Airport
Indira Gandhi Int'l Airport,New Delhi and NCR - View on map
"The New Delhi Airport Holiday Inn exceeded expectations. It's more of a 4+ star hotel with great amenities, beautiful rooms with good sound insulation. A big thumbs up for the fully stocked mini-fridge and snacks. The signature toiletries are generous and smell great. The best part was the buffet breakfast in the restaurant - perhaps the largest selection of breakfast items to cater to tastes from all continents. 2nd time staying at this hotel while transiting through New Delhi and will definitely come again! Thank you!"

Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport
Indira Gandhi Int'l Airport,New Delhi and NCR - View on map
"I have had my fair share of stays in India, country inn marriot in gurgaon, Radisson Blu new delhi paschim vihar, fairmont in Jaipur, trident in Udaipur, Ranbanka palace in Jodhpur, as well as attending a wedding in Trident Gurgaon, I would say that this one is up to "international" standards. Most of the hotels outside of Delhi, though ranked as a 5 star, do not have staff that are competent enough to be considered as 5 star hotel stafffs. I understand this might be a cultural thing, but besides from trident Gurgaon and this hotel, none of the staffs were able to immediately understand our questions / requests, and provide relevant solutions or help. The buffet lounge was operated very well. Staff were attentive and constantly cleaning up plates, as oppose to some hotels having staff just walking around not really doing anything and dishes are piling up at tables. The only downside would be that it is a bit distant from most of the sightseeing spots within delhi city, and from the vibe of the hotel you can tell they mostly host business travelers, but then again it explains the efficiency of service provided by the hotel. I would love to stay at this hotel again if ever returning back to Delhi."

Taj Palace

"We are a married couple from Thailand visiting India the first time because of our best friend's wedding in Bangalore so we decided to stop by at Delhi 4 days before. We decided to stay here at Taj Diplomatic Enclave which we think it is the best choice for us. We read recommemdations and from what we experienced here it was wayyyy better than I could imagine. I would like to comment how pleased we were with the service provided to us here by entire hotel staff from the front door to our room door. We found the hotel staff and the accommodation first class especially reception desk staff who were always most pleasant and only too willing to help and advice us which make our stay all the more enjoyable. I would like to thank you again for our great stay with you and will certainly recommend your hotel to anyone. On top of that, food here was amazingly delicious starting our New Year beautifully. Thank you so much we were appreciated it we will definitely come back here over and over and over again. Ps : I think this hotel is located on the safest area of New Delhi, all embassies were right around the corner including prime minister's accommodation which made this area the safest here amd very center where you can go anywhere comfortably. ❤️❤️😘😘❤️❤️ Sincerely yours, Mr.&Mrs.Goodwin Our stay : 4 days 3 nights with exclusive breakfast (ROOM.848 -Club room) "

The Muse Sarovar Portico-Kapashera
Indira Gandhi Int'l Airport,New Delhi and NCR - View on map
"My husband and I were looking for a nice hotel to stay in New Delhi near the airport and we found The Muse Sarovar which is located 10 min by taxi from the terminal. We came very late that day to the reception, in about 12 a.m, and the staff were waiting for us and welcomed us very nicely. The room was more then we expected, very big, clean sheets, the bed was fantastic, and the pillows were very soft which was very comforting after such a long day (: . They also gave us a bottle of water. In the morning we had a very nice breakfast, it had also Indian or western food so you can choose whatever you like. The crew was very nice to us and gave a great service. In short, great hotel to stay in if you are looking for a hotel which is closed to the airport. We were very pleased! Thank you!"

More about New Delhi and NCR

New Delhi is home to more sites and attractions than most other cities in India, and it seems to have enough life and energy to power the entire country. In many ways, this wild and bustling city is a perfect cross-section of the entire country.

The last two decades have seen unchecked modernization, but these ancient streets still reveal traditional bazaars and sari shops in proximity to electronics emporiums and gleaming entertainment complexes. From the moment visitors disembark at Delhi – Indira Gandhi International Airport, they're quickly confronted with this booming, multi-cultural community.

New Delhi is unique because it was already the seat of a dynamic empire before the British arrived. While the British architecture in Delhi is impressive, it struggles to compete with massive Mughal feats like the Red Fort or Jama Masjid, sister structures of the Taj Mahal.

Most of the imperial architecture lies in what is now called 'Old Delhi'. This area caters to budget travelers and backpackers while the best selection of accommodations is found in Central Delhi. Hotels in the new city have great access to late-night dining, drinking and dancing venues, whereas those in the historic quarter quiet down earlier in the evening.
