Playa Del Carmen hotels & accommodations

Very clean and the food was great. Lots of restaurants to choose from. We called before we booked our trip and asked about what type of liquor they served. They told me it was all good quality liquor but come to find out the hard way that we needed to upgrade our stay. It was still good but not the best. The beach was terrible. Rooms are very nice and clean . Oh fo...

I went here for a few day break after spending a week with friends at another all inclusive resort to just unwind. It was perfect for what I was looking for. It was very quiet, slow paced and relaxing. The other half (non adult) seemed to be very busy with a lot more action, but this side was very chill. The buffets were very good and the a la carte's were good (small ...

Food is plenty with great flavours. . Our favourite was Mastogo which served authentic Mx food. We truly appreciated and were wowed by service at the resort.Due to personal reasons we had to cut our visit short by a day. The staff accommodated our special request and agreed to refund. In general, this place is perfect for people who value cleanliness and friendliness. We like a lot of food so felt that the food was really good every where we ate. It's not TOP CABIN and I don't think the price gives the 'illusion' that it will be. Anyone who doesn't have fun, relax, or enjoy themselves here is just unhappy

The Royal Playa Del Carmen (is now Hilton Playa Del Carmen) is a great all-inclusive resort. I highly recommend this property. I can't wait to go back. I loved every day I was there. The food, room, A/C, service, room service, bars, employees are all helpful and friendly. Hilton is making some upgrades. PROS: The food is really good for all inclusive (Asiana, Pelican...

we will definitely return to this resort. the room looked new with granite countertops, dishwasher, beautiful decorating - very upscale. the service was impeccable and the property was well maintained. i really liked the location closer to playa del carmen and beautiful beaches. the beach our front of the hotel was very nice

It’s on 5th ave the most important street in Playa del Carmen also 2 blocks away from mamitas beach club and 2 blocks away from coralina day club the most important places to visit in Playa del Carmen. The staff it’s super nice and friendly very clean the room modern nice bed everything perfect

If you are looking for a romantic getaway in Playa Del Carmen, this is it! The location is a short walk to all the action in town and several wonderful restaurants too. I loved all the small touches of love (in the form of hearts... blown-glass hearts and heart sculptures abound) throughout the property! There is a wooden heart attached with your room key, and a wo...

Amazing. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The whole place was amazing, from the beautiful toiletries to the hammock on the balcony, and the ridiculously comfortable beds with beautiful soft linen. The roof service meals were delicious, the staff were so helpful and friendly and we even lived the local gift (tubes of Yucatan honey) left on our pillows as p...

Compared to hotels we have stayed in other parts of Mexico, this hotel is a very good standard for the price. It seems new and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff are lovely and there is a family atmosphere, especially in the mornings. The breakfast is a mini buffet for only fifty pesos - it's cheap compared to most cafes around. It would be perfect if there...

nice and cosy appartment style hotel. we had a room for 3 people (3seperate beds)with a clean bathroom with shower and a little kitchen with fridge. airco and fan in the room worked ok and we had no complaints watsoever. a 15 min walk takes you to the beach and shopping area of playa del carmen, taxi costs about 70 pesos. there are busses that pas but we did not...

From the moment we arrived, the staff was gracious and helpful. We were greeted with a cold drink and escorted to our room immediately. We had a problem with the air conditioning system in our first room, but after failing to fix the unit, we were moved to an even nicer room. I would definitely return to La Tortuga in the near future. I highly recommend it to anyo...

i chose to stay at this resort as friends where getting married at a resort close by. on the day of the wedding i had requested an early check in as the wedding was in the early afternoon. when i presented at reception, i was told that check in was at 3pm. i showed the receptionist my emails request that had been acknowledged by email only be told that my room was n...

Arrived before normal checkin time but was invited to relax in the pool area until ready. Location is completely central to everything on the main strolling/shopping/dining street. Staff very helpful with directions wherever you need to go, and fluent in English

We really enjoyed our stay at the Royal Hideaway - prior to this trip I had never experienced all inclusive before, but we really enjoyed it, particularly at this hotel where the food really was 5 star and the rooms also very luxurious. Would definitely recommend and would definitely visit again!

my boyfriend and i stayed at the sando playacar for 4 days and attended our friend's wedding there as well. it is a fantastic resort located at the end of the resort strip which was nice because you can walk to the other side and pretty much have the whole beach to yourself. the grounds and the rooms are very well maintained and everyone is very professional. we got up...

We stayed for NYE and it was a great location. The room was gorgeous. We went to bed around 2am and it was pretty quiet considering we were in the middle of the hussle and bussle of Playa Del carmen with New Year's street parties going on. HUGE bathroom.
Cheap places to stay in Playa Del Carmen

This is a great place to stay. The dorm is quiet, it isn't a party hostel, the beds are comfortable, the place is kept clean and tidy. There is a kitchen and TV lounge. The staff are friendly. You are a little bit away from the noise and hustle of the main town but not so far that its ever a problem. The WiFi is good and there is a laundry place downstairs (it's b...

We booked in advance, came here, paid for 2 nights and 2 beds, got 2 wristbands, but when we wanted to checkout they tried to charge us another 2 nights. Shady place, with weird staff, 3 toilets that are always stuck, big lights only in the dorm... Don't come here!

The hotel was clean and neat. The staff was very friendly. It has a good location within a short walk to the beach and walking street. The room was much smaller than what is pictured on the website which made it challenging for three people and luggage. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable.

We came here because we needed to be in Playacar for a diving test. So the location was perfect for us. The reception was very friendly and the room was clean. Internet is working well. They also have a nice cozy bar on the rooftop. Our stay went smoothly :)

the hotel was what you pay for. we got a last min deal for just over 50 dollars a night so could not really complain. room was basic but clean and water was hot. hotel is small and even though we had a room at the back it was still a little noisey as we could hear people in reception. for a one or two night stay it's ok but not for longer.

We wanted to be outside of the downtown zone, and CyM is a straight run up from the ADO, easy to find, 50 peso taxi. Perfectly clean room. Beautiful ocean view from the terrace. New bikes were available for the short ride to the beach. A must-visit is the cenote right beside the beach i.e. a large fresh water pool flowing into the ocean, keeping the seaweed at bay....

Property was clean, modern, a little off the beaten track, definitely need a car to get there. Was only there one night...good stopover. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Pool was small but beautiful. Would have been nice to have chairs for patio and another mirror in the room. Great restaurant around the corner.

When I booked it I was surprised about the cheap price, but in my first night I noticed why. The Hotel is very close to the party street. It's nice if you want to party a lot because then you don't have to walk far but it also can be very noisy in the night. Especially on a Saturday evening. But the stuff is nice, the room and the bathroom was clean except of some ants...

This is a great little hotel in playa del carmen. The breakfast restaurant where lunch and dinner are served if you purchased all inclusive or full board is right across the street. It is busy. The servers should clean tables before replacing tables with cutlery also, placing a napkin under cutlery so it is not touching the table. If you see the service in action you w...

Modern design but not high end. Fridge good size and good water pressure. Bed is really too hard and layout of the building a bit weird. There is no pool. We had a nice stay in Hulku hotel. The swimming pool is really nice with a lot of vegetation - you feel like you would be on the jungle ! Room are great, space. Prefer the room "Suite junior" (upstairs). The hotel is well located just near the main street with shop, bars, restaurants, and beach and near of the bus station. Quieter than hotels which are the main street -...

Our stay was great. We found the on-site restaurants to offer a variety of high-quality food. We really enjoyed the all-inclusive aspect, as it meant that we could spend more time relaxing rather than worrying about where to go to eat. It is a great location at the end of the hotel zone, which means that there is no other resort on one side, which means it is (relative...

First thing one should know: it is not a hotel, but the place that in principle was built to sell apartments. Consequently, the service is good, but limited, there are hardly any people around, no entertainment and there is no restaurant or bar after 4pm. The place feels quite empty and quiet. There is a free shuttle to the city of Playa del Carmen , but it departs onl...

As most people have mentioned the location is excellent, really convenient to everything you would want in Playa. The room was spacious and clean and it was great that we could have it as a twin room. Staff were really friendly and responsive. I expect that it would usually be quiet, but we were there close to NYE so could hear a bit of noise, but that's to be expected...

instructions on how to check in were not included in the booking. You have to drive to the end of the complex to register. On check out you have to take the keys back and then wait for your apartment or be checked before your an leave. - allow another 30 minutes.

This was a great studio apt right above the beach, I could've spent my whole vacation on the patio. Right next to a bar that had good live music, acoustic in afternoons, rock music in evenings that wrapped up at 9pm. Comfortable bed and amenities, great hosts. Not a hotel, be ready for an AirBNB-type stay.

Just off the 5th avenue main drag, the small hotel is a good place for a night or two, or if on a budget and still wanting to be in the center of the Playa Del Carmen action. Rooms were very large and modern. Final renovations to the reception and other common areas look like they will take another couple of months to finish, after that the place will be really nice....

Great hotel, clean, spacious bedrooms with excellent air con. Staff are beyond friendly, breakfast is amazing, pool area is beautiful. Can’t recommend highly enough for a few nights in Playa and just a few minutes walk from the main strip of restaurants and bars and the beach.

Wonderful hotel with exceptional staff and facilities! In the best location: right on the beach, but a few minutes walking distance from the main street in Playa del Carmen. I loved the hotel, the food - everything was absolutely perfect for a destination wedding!

I visited here in late February. Not too crowded, and it was generally quiet. Staffs were fantastic and kind. Food from all the restaurants was amazing. Size of the resort was huge, all places were very clean including the room. There's absolute is nothing to complain about. I would definitely visit again.
