"Comfortable beds, well-appointed bathroom, outstanding wi-fi. Not much choice for breakfast but I enjoyed what I had. No English-speaking channels on the TV but I think most of their customers are Thai or Laotians so you can't blame them for that. Wi-fi is fast enough to stream Youtube though. There really is no need to slum it at a guesthouse when this place is cheap and comfortable and half the price of the only other comparable hotel in Savannakhet which is nowhere near as well located."

"I've stayed in a lot of places in Savannakhet, and the Pilgrims Kitchen & Inn is by far the best. After a warm welcome from manager and staff, they went out of their way to make my stay as there comfortable as possible. They care so much about customer satisfaction, it felt like a home from home for me. The food is amazing, their Indian dishes are delicious esp the Chicken Curry with Homemade Chips which are crispy outside and fluffy on the inside, they remind me of chips from UK Fish n Chip shops. Their staff make you feel like part of a family and to top it off, I couldn't get to the border on my last day so the manager so very kindly took me there on his motorbike for free. It's the only place I'll stay when visiting Savannakhet from now on. "
