"We stayed at the Fairfield because we were going to a concert at the Gocheok Sky Dome (which is not as close as I thought- basically not easily walk-able). The hotel was clean and the room was nice. As a few people mentioned, the bathroom doesn't have its own door but is shared with the shower door (it might not be obvious that the shower door can be swung over to act as the bathroom door). Still, it perhaps provides less privacy than some would want depending on who you are staying with. I would stay here again."

"I went to Korea last summer and had a great time staying in STEP INN. It's very clean, cozy with friendly staff who gave me recommendation of a local hair salon when I asked for it:) The location is in the center of Myeongdong and super easy to shop and go around by train. I remember I even cancelled my bookings for another hotel and continued staying here when I came back to Seoul from Bishan due to its great location near the airport shuttle bus stop. Other than that, I also happened to bump into MonstaX's mini concert near the hostel in Myeongdong on my first day staying there, walking down the street in the morning... The only drawbacks for some might be the room can be quite small. But I like cozy rooms! I feel it's good for solo travelers or students."

"I have been to Seoul more than 30 times and usually book this place because of its location. It is right in front of Itaewon station, very convenient in city center, good access from airport and easy to move around. The room is clean and has free and fast Wifi. They used to have Korean Sauna at B1F but now the size is smaller, I still enjoy it though. Their staff is there 24/7 and helpful, they speak English and Japanese too. Money exchange is also available at the reception. One comment I should make is the noise from the neighbors, since Itaewon is a "night town" in Seoul, there are many people at clubs, pubs, etc. around this hotel and it could be loud (even in the hotel room) especially Friday and Saturday night. Single travelers or young couple should be fine but it might be not suitable for the family with young children. Also in summer they have small swimming pool at 5F and many, many people from outside of the hotel visit, so the elevator could be crowded sometimes."

Many visitors can enter South Korea visa-free for short stays, while others may need to apply for a visa in advance. It's crucial to verify the latest regulations to avoid any last-minute surprises.

Currency exchange is another important aspect to consider. The local currency is the South Korean won (KRW), and it's advisable to exchange some money before arriving or at the airport. ATMs are widely available, and credit cards are accepted in most establishments, but having cash on hand can be useful for smaller shops and street vendors.

Health and safety are also key considerations. Seoul is known for its cleanliness and safety, but it's always wise to stay informed about local health guidelines. Travelers should consider purchasing travel insurance to cover any unexpected medical needs. Additionally, familiarize yourself with emergency numbers, such as 119 for fire and medical emergencies, and 112 for police assistance. With these practical tips in mind, navigating Seoul will be a breeze.
