It's a sleek, modern and clean no frills hotel, all we needed for a Tokyo hotel to recharge at night ! Went for the deluxe double and it was well worth it for the bigger bathroom and most importantly , a proper massage chair , invaluable after a long day in the city! For the money paid I can't find a better hotel in Tokyo ! Similar priced ones are usually smaller and more basic. It's very close to three metro stations, so easy access to other parts of Tokyo like shibuya, shinjuku And skytree tower! Drawback is 10-15 minutes walk to airport bus and likewise for Tokyo station, not easy with lots of luggage. And its Ginza! good for shopping during the day but nothing happens at night . But it's one of the few hotels I would consider staying again next time I am in Tokyo !

Here are the things that made it one of the best for us: Room temperature/ac: sometimes when you are in a hotter city, it is not fun to be in a room that's humid and just uncomfortable. Japan is not a hot city, but I appreciate that the room felt clean and not stuffy or humid or anything like that. It felt fresh. Shower: the water pressure is among one of the most important thing I look for in a hotel. This shower and tub combo was AWESOME and I spent so much time in the shower because of that. The shampoo/cond and body wash they give are also of a good brand: pola. I stay in a lot of hotel in San Francisco and, this one TOPS IT ALL. Amenities: the room provides water bottles, hair dryer, sponges, slippers, tooth brush, etc etc anything you need for your stay. For a Tokyo hotel, the rooms here are also quite large. We had room to add an additional bed! Overall, we had an AWESOME stay and loved our hotel. We were super close to the train & walking disc to Shinjuku. A+!

Arrived very late at night from Haneda International Terminal through both Monorail & JR Yamanote Line, I had to spend around 20 minutes to find the right way from JR Shinjuku Station. However, it's inside Kabuki-cho, which is one of the best place to have a night drink in Tokyo. But also, the staff is very kind as they kept my 50,000 yens CoD order while other hotels in Tokyo would refuse. For French visitors who are not fluent in English, this is the right place to find French-speaking staff. The room size is correct according to Tokyo standards and it's equipped with Shiseido amenities everywhere. I would also recommend to have a delicious breakfast on the top of the hotel to get a wonderful landscape of Tokyo.

East 21 is an excellent hotel. The staff are helpful and polite. English is well understood. The rooms are comfortable and clean. They are small but this is typical of nearly all Tokyo hotels. Breakfast is a buffet, good enough to suit both Asian and International tastes, but check prices as charges increase usually on weekends. The fitness centre and spa is clean and well equipped but can be expensive depending on the day, typical of the variable rates that many Tokyo hotels charge. Pick the week days for lower prices. East 21's location is an 8 minute walk from Toyocho station (T14) on the Toyo Rapid rail line, an easy connection to the Keisei rail line which takes you to and from Narita airport. The hotel also has shuttle buses to both Narita and Haneda airports. Using the Toyo line, its easy to get to most locations around Tokyo city. Overall, Hotel East 21 is excellent value for money. While its not 5 star, its a good 3.5 to 4 star at a reasonable price.

My parents and I stayed at this hotel for our last segment of our Japan trip and we had a wonderful experience overall. Staff was very welcoming and helpful from start to end. The hotel exceeded all of our expectations. It's hard to find spacious hotels in Tokyo, and this one was modestly big for the 3 of us. Room was clean and supplied with numerous vanity kits, not to mention all the other beauty goodies located at the lobby. My parents kept raving about this place and how awesome the hotel is. Location is great too as it's close by numerous train stations. There's nothing I can think of that's bad or needs improvement. Overall, a wonderful hotel and amazing staff! Thank you Hotel Sardonyx Tokyo for such a pleasant stay! We will definitely stay here again if we ever stop by Tokyo!

A very clean hotel. It is newly opened. My room was rather small and cramp, which is expected of Tokyo hotels. Many amenities besides the basic toiletries were provided. The bathroom was designed to look like your very own private onsen. The view from my room on the 21st floor was superb. The only gripe I had was that the bed was too small. It is a super single bed. Too cramped for 2 adults and 1 small child. The other thing is the blinds. It is not enough to keep sunlight out in the morning and the sun rises at 4am in Tokyo. The location is very convenient. There are many restaurants and convenience stores just below the hotel and it is just within 10 minutes walk from Shinjuku Station. The service from the staff at the front desk was excellent. I asked many questions and directions to the attractions in Tokyo and they took the initiative to look up from the internet whatever they did not have answers to.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 days recently. We had a very pleasant experience throughout our stay. Initially we booked our room in 2 separate booking, so theoretically we have to check in another room for the 2nd day, but the front staff, a gentleman, is so kind and really took the time to find us a high floor room for the 2 nights so that we need not have the hassle to change room. Thank you so much. Obviously we had a good view looking out to Tokyo Tower. Room is not big but adequate, well lited, including the bathroom. There is convenient store in house which proved to be very useful. But through out our stay, the one thing which touches us is the friendliness of the hotel staffs, very courteous and ever ready to help. That particular lady who sent us to our limousine bus deserved special mention for being very thoughtful. Unfortunately in a hurry we didn't register her name. We stayed in 6 hotels in Tokyo, and I must admit we have the best experience from this hotel.

The only weird thing is google maps doesn’t show this hotel’s location... I used the address to find it. This property appears new. The lobby is beautiful and the staff were very nice. The highlight are the rooms! Clean and modern. Not as small as I’ve experienced in other hotels in Tokyo. My wife and I were very comfortable. The onsen was amazing too. The location is a short walk from the train station and right in the heart of Roppongi. I highly recommend this hotel!

This is my fave hotel in Tokyo located in a very busy section of Tokyo called ikebukuro. although the room is quite small and the design is a bit outdated but it is very clean and the staff service is superb. The staff helps to receive and keep my japan wireless package safely until i arrived and they even helped me to post back the package after i checked out. Dont worry if you overshop as the concierge provides post service to send your stuff back to your country at a reasonable free. They even sell various sizes of shipping boxes at an extremely cheap price and they even let you use their scotch tape for free. Metro station is location right at the back of the hotel in the Lumine building, mojor departments store such as TOBU, SEIBU and PARCO are just a few steps away from this hotel. Convenience stores are just right by the corner. I will be back for sure. Thanks

This was really a good stay and i would highly recommebnd this hotel in Tokyo. First of all rooms are large and not over priced when you ask for a twin bed room. I think it is very rare in Tokyo. Then service level, wuality and confort of the rooms are really good in line or above european 4 stars /5 stars standard Location is good very near to metro / train station. Access is very easy . Hotel has public baths on the top floor an it is nice to try. The only bad thing to mention is that internet in the room was very very very slow. So you could not really use it except for emails checking.

The Shibuya Excel Hotel was my first stay in Tokyo Japan. I must say it was the most wonderful experience. The Hotel is brilliantly located, has the best views, lovely and clean and tidy and very quiet. Very relaxing to return to after a busy day exploring this wonderful part of the world. The staff are great ambassadors for Japan and maintain that lovely warmth, respect and friendliness of all Japanese people. I have no hesitation in recommending the Shibuya Excel to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced, comfortable hotel in Tokyo. The longer you stay the better!!!

We stayed in a corner twin room that faced the Mitsukoshi Dept. Store. We had gorgeous views of Ginza. The hotel is very new, just opened last year. The design is very modern, clean and smartly thought out. I appreciated how the shower is separated from the toilet and the sink. There is a empty mini fridge to keep all one's personal items cold without having to hassle w/overpriced stocked drinks. They have a Nespresso machine with half a dozen different coffee capsules from which to choose. They are delicious. Not to be outdone is the drip coffee pouches they supply. I almost dismissed it as being low quality just because it came in a foil bag. I was absolutely wrong. It made the best hotel room coffee I've ever tasted. This being Japan, the service is never less than solicitous and efficient. Someone is there to greet/help you at the entrance, the reception desk, the elevator, etc. Check in and out procedures never took more than a couple of minutes. WiFi was signal was strong throughout the building (at least all the areas I visited ) if not as fast as at home but download speeds were acceptable as long as you aren't streaming a lot of video. The hotel had a lot of nice touches such as a currency exchange ATM, stamps for postcards, electrical outlets at the bedside, soft linens, a dehumidifier, daily morning newspaper delivery, etc. We stayed in mid-January for 2 nights and paid the extremely low rate of $200/night which included tax and service fees. I can't see any other hotel in Tokyo coming close to this in value (and I've stayed in several so I speak from personal experience).

The Shinagawa Prince is one of the largest hotels in Tokyo 3700 rooms..It is convenient located 2 minutes walk from JR Shinagawa Station..The staff are extremely polite and helpful it has free computer access on the 7th floor in the annex for those who don't carry a laptop.with a variety of restaurants nearby..I found it good value for money after traveling to Japan for over 40 years..Shinagawa itself is central to Tokyo and having a Shinkansesn stop at the station is a plus for those traveling on.

The Candeos hotel is located approx 200m from the Shinbashi station (great if you have a JR pass). It is super busy Friday nights as this is where men go to celebrate end of week and also bars aplenty (where you find 18+ bars too *wink*). However it is very safe here and you will find a great 24hr seafood grill bar on the corner. Very clean and very friendly staff who can all speak fluent English with added value being the hot baths up on the top floor when you’re tired. Rooms are sufficient size given Tokyo hotels are quite small, but probably will be small for a family with grown up kids. Overall great value hence why we came back here.

Looking for a hotel is one of the most arduous and critical decisions one makes when one travels. There are so many considerations to be made. In my last trip to Tokyo from the 26th of February to the 4th of March. I found the one hotel I will be staying in every time I visit Tokyo. That hotel is JR KYUSHU BLOSSOM HOTEL SHINJUKU! I absolutely love this hotel. First, the location is key. It is right off the JR Shinjuku Station. Just take the Koshu Kaido exit then turn left and follow the road down. The hotel is less than 5 minutes away in a small quiet alley right off the main road. This is ideal because it makes it quiet. The lobby is big and clean and the rooms are bigger than the average Tokyo hotel room size. The bathroom though is MY FAVORITE thing about the room. I'm actually thinking of redesigning my bathroom to look like the bathroom in this hotel. What I would love though is if the hotel had a small fitness center. The internet was fast and reliable. I love this Hotel!

Definitely put this hotel on your itinerary. Minutes from Gonzalez for shopping. Right by Shinbashi station for access to other Tokyo sites, shinbashi also loaded with great eating. Close to Tsukiji if you want to brace the crowds. Turret Coffee is minutes away for probably the best artisan espresso you will find in Tokyo. Hotel staff, room comfort, quietness factor all top notch at this price. The view from the 16 the floor lobby at sunset on a clear day with Tokyo tower in the near distance and Mt Fuji on the horizon are an added bonus.

I have stayed in Tokyo a few times and this was the best hotel I've stayed at to date. Across the street, behind Bic Camera, are a vast selection of restaurants you could ever ask for. We ate here every night and there were still restaurants we wanted to try when we left, perhaps next time. With four lines in the two metro stations next to the hotel made the whole city easily accessible to us within a few steps. The bus from and to Narita brought us to the front door of the hotel and pick us up when our trip was over. The staff is very efficient and friendly. The only negative was our room didn't have a bath tub but that won't stop us from staying here on our next trip. In my opinion, this is the best hotel in Tokyo.

When we arrived, we realized that our booking put us all on smoking rooms. The helpful staff managed to put us on non-smoking but we still need to stay two nights at smoking rooms as at the time they have no non-smoking room for the whole duration of our stay. We found that the smoking room has better bed with some sort of memory foam or latex foam lining on top. The hotel is about 10minutes walk away from the JR Shinjuku station. For us it is not a long walk and we think it is a good distance but not too far because Shinjuku station is very busy. There are two mini marts and there are plenty of restaurants too on the hotel premises. You can find several more between hotel and Shinjuku station. Rooms are clean, although a bit small as most other hotels in Tokyo are. Sometimes the wait time for the elevator can be quite long although there are six elevators. Our first local tour's meeting place (Yakoso) is right at the hotel and airport Limousine bus can take us directly to the hotel and we can purchase return tickets to airport right at the hotel as well. This is a big plus because we have quite a few luggages. We think this is the most convenient hotel we have stayed. Distance from the JR station is just right and you can find quite a selection of food at the hotel too: Japanese, Chinese, Western, even an Indian food restaurant.

Shinjuku might be a red light district but don’t let that discourage you from staying there with your family. Japan is safe, clean and friendly and even the red light district maintains a civility lost in other places. The Citadines Central Shinjuku Tokyo hotel staff are lovely, welcoming and helpful and did their utmost to make our stay in Tokyo pleasant. The rooms, while small, are well laid out and the presence of the Lawsons conbini downstairs meant that snacks and drinks were always available. Access to Shinjuku Station was a short walk which opens up the whole of Tokyo in turn. The hotel is located close to modern cultural icons such as the Robot Restaurant and the izakaya collective in Golden Gai is literally right outside to the rear of the hotel. What struck me about the hotel, and Tokyo generally, was how quiet it was - the politeness of drivers means very few horns are honked and we heard sirens only rarely. Loved the hotel and will return when we can.

Tobu Hotel is located near the Kinsincho JR station and metro station. There are Lawson and Aeon supermarket opp the hotel. There is also a supermarket at Kit building with Daiso, GU, Muji and Uniqlo there. It is very convenient and you can explore Asakusa and Skytree which are very near to the hotel. The hotel provides free shuttle to Disney resorts and there are airport transport at the hotel too. The counter staff are very helpful and attend to your needs. The rooms are considered spacious for Tokyo hotels and are clean. You can hv a clear view of Skytree from the hotel rooms too. Overall, we are very satisfied with the hotel and would stay there again for our next visit.

This hotel really stands out in terms of value for money. Tokyo hotel prices are more expensive compared to other cities, and many travelers will probably try alternatives such as Airbnb. This hotel had prices comparable to a good Airbnb rental, without the hassle of trying to clean up after yourself. Plus, it is located near Shimbashi station, which links to many train lines. The service was also great. We had purchased our Sumo tickets online and had asked delivery to the hotel. They held on to them and presented them to us upon check-in without even having to ask. We also went around outside Tokyo for a few days and had to check-in again upon return. Not wanting to carry all our luggage around, we had asked the concierge to keep some of it for us. When we came back, our room was already prepared and our bags already put in the room. The service of many hotels in this price range would not be as proactive.

The location is perfect for Disney travelers. The free hotel shuttle ride is also convenient for elderly folks or babies on strollers. A mall across the hotel have shops like Uniqlo, Muji, Starbucks, Subway, and McDonalds. A grocery and food court is also available in the mall. However, the location is far from places of interest in Tokyo and that's why I give it only 3 stars. Example 1, travelling by train to Tokyo station takes 20mins. This excludes the time it take to reach the exit of Tokyo station or transferring to other train lines. Example 2, it can take about 45-55 mins to get to Shibuya station by train from the hotel. For the staff, they are very accommodating and helpful but most of them can't communicate in English. I've been to smaller Tokyo hotels with staff that can understand & speak English quite well. To overcome the language barrier, they use a gadget as an interpreter...it was an interesting experience to use the gadget.

We have stayed in many hotels in Tokyo and this Gotanda hotel proved to be excellent value for money with very easy access to Gotanda JR station and the Toei Asakusa subway line being only a few minutes walk. You can easily access all the main areas in Tokyo including the Tokyo, Ginza, Shibuya and Shinjuku areas in less than 20 minutes. The rooms were essentially new so are in excellent condition. We chose a twin room to have a bit more space. Our sons comfort double room was also very good but not much space to move around in. One negative was not having enough storage/ drawers for clothes or to stash a suitcase. If you prefer a soft bed you might find the bed a bit firm and it did cause a few aches for us over 8 nights but it is not as bad as some of the unbearablely, rock hard beds we have experienced in Japan.. My husband, being Japanese, loved the rooftop bath and both the men and. Women’s baths seemed to be very popular. Being able to wash/ dry clothes also a bonus.

This is my third Tokyo hotel room, and while they've all been great, this one was the best (single room, traveling alone). Spotlessly clean, the room was well laid out, and staff was lovely. They kept my luggage for me when I arrived WAY before check-in, and again when I checked out but wasn't flying out until later in the day. The bed was super comfortable, the linens were great, and I loved the shower/bath tub combo room. Location is fantastic (1 minute to Ginza Station) and you're across the street from an Ippudo location. Amenities, as with all the places I've stayed in Tokyo, were top knotch. Staff was lovely and helpful as I tried to relay things in broken Japanese. I travel a lot for business, and this was one of the better hotels I've stayed at, but far from the most expensive. This hotel was fantastic, and I would happily stay again!

Fantastic and we feel very happy, satisfied and we will be back in this hotel. This hotel has the best location, just 3 minutes walk to Asakusa (Oedo line)station. Beautiful view of Tokyo Skytree. Our room is facing Tokyo Bay and Mount Fuji (far view) side. But the 26th floor for breakfast time we can see Tokyo Skytree clearly. Probably just 2 km from the hotel. Oh, the food... you have to try it, very good. The services amazing and we love it. Everything looks like perfect for us. This hotel should have 5 stars rating. I'll be back!
