"I was a little worried with this hotel being so cheap and a name like LiveMax. We're talking $35-45/night on cheap days. Great value. Weekends can go up to $125. yikes! Room size is slightly bigger than a business hotel. It's still small, but maybe an extra 10sqft. I know... I know... but it makes a big difference. Location is in the middle of Yokohama China Town. You can go on a day binge of pearl teas and tons of Chinese food. Motomachi and Minato Mirai is in walking distance. It dies down by 11pm. But there is a 24 hour grocery store if you walk towards the train station. Chukagai Train Station is about a 5 min walk. Staff is the most lenient I have ever seen in Japan. They leave you to your privacy. They just keep their heads down as you walk in and lightly say "Iterashaimase" when you leave. Other hotels give you a bulky key you have to hand over every time you leave. This one doesn't require that. Just a card."

"Room was small but comfortable. No TV but had a projector instead, which is great as I felt this added more space to the room. Bathroom had more space than normal bathrooms and we loved it. No bath tub however it we definitely did not mind that as me and my roommate prefer showers. Loved the reclining bed very much. Only thing we did notice is that they don't change the sheets daily - only fix it as they do room service. Also failed to replenish body soap in the shower until we asked (since we stayed for over a week). Staff were very hospitable and accomodating. Rooftop had a mini bar were you could chill. Mini bar was self service and had a coffee machine (but coffee wasn't really good and needed refill at times), toaster and microwave for you to heat whatever food you had. Location wise was not very good, close to bars and red-light district area but we didn't mind this as we booked the hotel at a cheap price (pre-opening rate). Loved how close it was to the stations (about 10mins walk). "

"This is the second time we've stayed here and where we will stay in the future. Let's start at the beginning. The staff is excellent. They speak excellent english and are very helpful. There is a convenience store in the lobby which comes in very handy. The rooms are small, but normal by Japan standards. The bed is comfortable. The heating/AC works well. The view of the bay is fantastic. The best part of the hotel is it is located directly next to Sakuragicho subway station. This allows easy access to all of Yokohama and Tokyo. It is also a very short walk to the Minato Mirai subway line. This is the line running along the waterfront, making for easy access to the main tourist attractions. For this area of Yokohama the price for a room can't be beat. Most places are at least double the cost and anything comparable is a long walk from anything to do in Yokohama. It's an easy decision."
