Crown Regency Makati”

Our stay at Crown Regency Hotel Makati was value for money. The corner suite we were given was spacious, as was the bathroom, which had marble tiles and vanity top. And there were 2 big beds, so there was space enough for my husband and I, and our daughter. The staff were courteous and helpful too. And we could just cross the road to the nearest shopping centre, and then walk on to the next one(and so on), as the shopping centres there are all conveniently interconnected! In fact, it's so near the shops that we managed to do last minute shopping till about half an hour before we were due to depart for the airport! Then all we had to do was cross the road back to the hotel! It's a cosy hotel, and all in all, it helped make our trip a very good experience, especially since this is our first trip back in close to twenty years!

Crown Regency Hotel Makati review”

The Crown Regency was just OK. The staff were very polite. I paid for an extra bed as I was having three people in the room, but when I got there the front desk staff wanted to give me a room with two single beds. They said that Agoda should know they don't have extra beds at that hotel and that I would not be charged the extra bed charge. I pointed out to them that I was already charged by Agoda for the bed (which they verified by looking at the Agoda hotel voucher). There would have been no place for the sister-in-law to sleep which I paid for. In the end they gave me a room with two twin beds which worked for us. My wife and I had one and her sister got the other. The room was not very big, but since we were not planning to be in the room much, it was fine for us. Their breakfast was a small buffet with only a few items available. The one day we ate there, it was tocino, hot dogs cut into tiny pieces, rice, something that looked like creamed rice, cereal, and you could get them to make a mushroom and cheese omelet. Without looking very hard, I found two much better places to eat breakfast about three minutes walk away over at the Glorietta 5 area. There was also a pretty good coffee shop similar to a Starbucks in the same area (I think it was called BoPo's or something like that). If you are looking for a clean, decent place in the Makati area without extravagances then you will be fine here. I've stayed at the Holiday Inn Galleria, EDSA Shangri-La and the Trader's Hotel on previous trips and I think I'll go back to one of them next time. In my opinion, Makati is overpriced for what you pay for. I can stay at a Holiday Inn in America for cheaper than my stay at the Crown Regency. But for what is available in Makati, the Crown Regency is a good deal.

Good business hotel”

The hotel was easy to find and is located across the street from a small shopping mall which leads into the Makati SM mall. First impressions were good, the room I had was small but adequate. The staff were helpful and friendly as I would expect from a hotel bearing the Crown Regency name. Breafast was slightly better than the usual buffet offered at most hotels with a good range of food. Gym seemed to be well-equipped - I didn't use it but there were usually people in there nd everything ppeared in good working order. Central location is good, being so close to a good-sized mall and only a few minutes by taxi from the British Embassy.

August 2009 - Crown Regency”

The Crown Regency Hotel is ideally located in Makati. It is walking distance to the many shopping centres. (Greenebelt, Glorietta) and to other hotels. I found it very convenient for travel to the airport and back, as well as the MRT (rapid transit train). The rooms in the hotel are clean, and the staff is always very friendly. Breakfast could be improved. I did not eat any other meals at the hotel. Since I am a smoker, I would have wished to have a smoking room, but the hotel has decided to eliminate all smoking rooms. I had a smoking room when I was in this hotel in May 2009.

Very good value hotel in Makati”

The Crown Regency Hotel in Makati is a very good value hotel for such a great location. It is clean, modern, and the staff is friendly. The free wifi in the lobby area was an added bonus. While there is a lack of parking space, I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone desiring to stay in Makati area. I would definitely return and stay here.

Worth the stay”

i've been an avid traveler into every international hotel abroad, but nothing has touched my heart until now....it had the amenities i was looking for...reasonable/cheap rates, very good location to shops, and malls; airport service, clean, cozy rooms (indicative of good housekeeping staff), free breakfast (with enough variety to choose from) warm, accommodating smiles from every staff, wifi access was excellent.....what more can you ask for....it was worth the stay. and will i endorse it to others, a very 5-star thumbs up...i would always long to come back. thank you crown regency hotel, and "kudos" to everyone (esp mark, jen, ms delima, bobet, edgar, and the rest of the staff).

excellent price!!!! great location!!!!! i have stayed in makati shangri-la and manila peninsula during my previous visits and this time decided to try crown regency, i was not disappointed. i will definitely consider this hotel on my next visit.

Good small hotel for the price”

I have stayed at Crown Regency Makati multiple times, mostly on stopovers to other places in the Philippines or internationally. Good friendly staff, good decent breakfast. Great hotel for the price and just a block from SM Greenbelt which connects into Glorietta and Greenbelt itself. After several years of stay here, I noticed no effort on the part of management to update airconditioning, and especially the workout area (very small gym). The equipments are outdated and barely work. This is a disappointment, especially since Crown Regencies are opening in other parts of the country. I am going to be looking for other places to stay next time-- unless there are changes.

A roof in Manila”

I shall return to the Crown Regency Hotel Makati. And I will strongly recommend it to all my friends. Because it's a good deal. It's a nice and warm place to stay. And it's near by a tremendous shopping area allowing any one to go back and carry walking around and help the local economy. This is a real peral in the heart of the Makati city.

Excellent location 5-star comfort with great price”

The location of the hotel is excellent. Right beside all the shopping and 5 mins walking distance to Glorietta Mall, Green Belt, etc. Its also nearer to the airport than hotels in Makati Ave, so taxi fare can be negotiated down to 200-250p.. its rare that you find an honest taxi driver willing to go by the meter. Staff were efficient and helpful and because the hotel is quite established, there's no problem getting to the hotel in a taxi. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished. You have all the 5-star amenities at a 3-star price. Room service food was pretty good although 5-star priced, but i'd rather pay that than some other knockoff dishes at discount prices that do nothing for the appetite. In either case, you're within walking distance to many restaurants offering great variety of food. Hotel has a gym that wasn't as well equipped, but not many people using it so not a problem there. No pool unfortunately but i wasn't there to swim so it didn't bother me. Internet connection is available in-room and was included in my booking with Agoda, but the speed was rather slow and i could hardly get onto facebook games. There's a 24-hr convenience store 2 doors away on the left of the hotel where you can buy basic amenities, stock up your mini-bar fridge, etc, but don't expect to get things you'd normally get from a full-blown supermarket. Hawkers set up stall just outside the hotel at night and you get pretty good beef noodles for a very cheap price. If i'm going back to Manila, i'll definitely stay here again.

My crown regency experience”

As a service provider myself I commend all the staff at the Makati Crown Regency. They greet me with a smile as if I am the only guest at the hotel. First impression is lasting.... I made a mistake in making my reservation I did not realize because of the time difference from california and the phillippines I came two days late and that made them cancell my reservastion as "no show. As soon as they found out the house manager arranged to call my agent to reinstate my reservation with no fuss. The food

A hassle free comfy place to stay”

I had a hassle-free stay in this hotel. Checking in and out were easily done with. A great location for your business trip and shopping spree. The staff, from the guard, porter, front desk, waiter and room service were all helpful and so friendly. The room was comfortable, the food at their cute restaurant are sarap and reasonably priced. Baggages are stored securely when you have to check out early and do some last day shopping before your flight schedule. Thank you Crown Regency.

Best hotel value in Makati”

I've stayed in several hotels in Makati and the Crown Regency has the best overall value. It's a just two blocks from the Glorietta 1 mall; has excellent access to the main roads; isn't terribly noisy; and has a well-trained staff. The rooms are fairly small but well-maintained.

Great location & courteous/efficient staff”

staff was very courteous and efficient. the facility was clean except when i checked in, the room smelled fumigation chemicals. the hotel location is very convenient. the hotel provided free internet and i was able to contact my secretary and staff in los angeles; in short my stay met my work needs and this was very important. i stayed in a five star hotel in the vicinity in january and my stayed at cr was much better considering the amount of money i spent and meeting my needs. i will highly recommend crown regency-makati to my relatives and colleagues.

Nice staffs, but with concern regarding the room (aircon)”

Second time at Crown Regency. I can clearly remember the first time we stayed here, it was good experience especially the breakfast. This time we booked 2 rooms, however the second room is not cool enough. I really think the aircon is not functioning well. We requested a fan instead since they are fully booked that day and they can't transfer us to another room. Unfortunately they don't have extra fan. It was really warm to the point that we are sweating. Good thing after a few hours the room became cooler. I hope next time they will turn on the aircon so when the guest arrived it is already cool inside the room. Other than this, it is a good stay still.

A good deal for the money and the location.”

I had a decent stay at the Crown Regency Makati. A few of the problems that I had were the very slow in room wifi (the internet in the Philippines is the slowest in Asia however), the unpredictable times room service would come, low water pressure in the shower, no iron in the room, and an extremely annoying "room check" knock on my door every morning at about 9:30AM which would wake me up. Other than that, the staff was attentive to my needs, the room was adequately sized, and the hotel is very close to the Glorietta and Greenbelt malls. A suggestion I would make for this hotel would be, get an ATM in your lobby!!! ATMs were very crowded and busy near the hotel and there's no reason why a modern hotel shouldn't have an ATM. Also, there is no mailing service at this hotel (a first for me to experience in any country that I've been to!), it would be nice if you could provide this service for your guests, even if it were to incur a small fee. I often saw too many staff just idling around as the hotel isn't that large/busy. Put them to work! Booking a stay at the actual hotel is a lot more expensive than on Agoda, so book any extensions (as I did) through the website and not at the hotel itself. The hotel's early check in policy is not flexible, I was lucky that they happened to let me check in early by a few hours, but I could have easily been sitting in the lobby for 5 hours! I sent several emails days prior to my arrival about checking in early, and they were mostly ignored up until about 2 days before I was going to arrive. Prepare to deal with some headaches related to getting in touch with someone. Also, the view from my room's window was blocked and there was a constant noise of AC units humming all day.

Good location”

In Philippines its conundrum if you stay in hotel maybe a good one . but the taxi likes to pretend Dumb. There best answer is " I dont know where is it" and I don't know how to get there. Crown Regency located in front of Dusit Thani Hotel its a big hotel every taxi driver knows the location. I tell the driver to drop me infront of Dusit then you see the crown Regency. i just say,there !! The room is good i stayed in de luxe room no breakfast. just walking distance to the mall have a breakfast there. with my choice, perfect do my shopping in SM prior back to Australia..

I'm a regular business traveler from Bangkok to Manila, and my office is just 10 minutes walk from Regency Crown. It is a very nice business hotel, and also because of it's strategic location very near to the center of Makati, and walking distance to GreenBelt where lot's of happenings in this area. Including shopping and food.

perfect for businessmen who needs a place to rest”

Check in and check out was fast. Rooms are ready upon arrival. This has been my favorite place to stay in Makati due to its location and the comfort that it provides. Agoda price is 40% of those hotels nearby and if you are a businessman needing a place to stay for the night, Crown Regency is the best choice for that (especially that Agoda price is roughly 60% of published rates). The hotel gets booked fast though as it is a favourite venue for workshops.
