I accidentally know about DJ Guesthouse and after checking some review on website, i decided to visit here. It was not out of the reviews. The owner and staff are very friendly. Furniture is good. But sometime, the music is a little bit loud but anyway it still gave me a good impression. If I visit Cambodia, i would come here again for sure.

Very glad that you accidentally came to visit us and loved it! My apologies that the music can be too loud sometimes- as a music themed bar and hostel it can be difficult to strike a balance. We do try to respect our over night guests by turning off the music by 11pm. Thank-you for your feedback.
Most Fun for the Best Value”
One of the best things about this place is the proximity to all the best stuff in the city. It's really well located and you can get around on foot pretty easily too. Excellent value in both the dorms and the private room and there's always something cool going on downstairs like a trivia or open mic. And it's located a block away from the fancy bars with the good cocktails so you can drink cheap with their cocktail and beer specials downstairs then go out in style. If I end up staying in Phnom Penh, I might consider moving in full time.

Great place great location ”
Really enjoyed my stay here. Booked the family room, plenty of space, ac, no TV bit who wants that when you're traveling. They do play a variety of music until 11pm. Danny was great to chat with, the entire staff was nice. Twenty min walk to the palace, S21, 5 min to the freedom monument. I know no one seems to walk anywhere in Phnom Penh but in case you do. Lots of great restaurants and bars very close by. Can't wait to come back.

This is the cleanest hostel I've stayed in for this low price. Also has great happy hour deals, excellent music and super friendly staff who will help you arrange anything! Would definitely recommend for budget travellers. Great value!

The owner Jennifer and the staff are awesome! really friendly never seen them not smiling. beds are comfy and the change the linens everyday. location is not that bad. there is a lounge downstairs where you can enjoy cheap beer and good music. highly recommended!

Stayed here with my husband and had a great time. The host/owner, Jennifer, was so welcoming and friendly. She oriented us to the area and her and the staff were available to answer any questions that we had. We enjoyed our breakfast at the hostel most mornings (not included but really cheap!) and had a ton of places to choose from in the area thanks to Jennifer's recommendations. The best part was the atmosphere of the place. We wanted to avoid some of the loud/party hostels but still wanted a good time and this place was a great balance. We enjoyed live music and specialty cocktails on one of our nights and got to meet some other travellers. When we left, the staff helped us arrange transportation to our next destination. We were definitely sad to go!

I'll expand on my 5 * rating. Value for money: The dorm bed here costs pretty much the same as other places in PP, the difference being that other places in PP don't hold themselves to the same standards of hygiene and customer service. Location: This place is located in the 'nice' part of town if you can believe there is such a part in PP. The general area is very clean and much quieter at night than other areas of PP. Also located very close to street food, mid-range and fancy restaraunts. An ATM across the road. Cleanliness: Without a doubt the cleanest place i've stayed in Cambodia and I can't count how many places i'm comparing that to. Staff: Very friendly and helpful. Customer oriented. Facilities: They seem to have everything covered; clothes washing service, bus tickets, tour tickets, a trusted tuktuk driver, and reception were motivated to help in any way they could. All in all, and especially for the price, I was really impressed with these guys. I definitely recommend.

Great service after a mistake”
Spent two night in the family room. Good matrasses. Clean and great staff. At check out they forgot to give my passport back, for me to discover upon arrival in siem reap. Contacted doc melo. He helped me out with arrangin to get it back the next day. Perfect service of him and the owner. They made sure that everything was sorted out perfectly for which i am really happy and thankfull. So looking for a place where you get great service and decent rooms for your money? This is the place to go. Thanks guys, see you again.

We stayed at the Trio Room during an Open Mic Night. We were too tired to be at the bar enjoying the music so just stayed at the room trying to rest. It was impossible to do so however, since there is almost nothing to prevent the noise in the room, which is a middle floor right over the bar. I don't know if this is also an issue in the upper floors. The whole room has a low ceiling. Both my wife and I are short so that was only a problem in the bathroom, where she hit her head in a lower section after waking up; she's 1,57m. Staff was friendly and the location is quite good. It was overall tidy and the music-themed decor was another positive point.

We are trying to make guests more aware that the Trio room in particular can be noisy, so we recommend that people who want to join the fun in the bar book that room 🎉😊. Our dorm rooms are not affected nearly as much by the music at the bar as they are floors above.

Small, quiet hostel located away from the majority of bars. Big rooms with A/C, and a good bathroom despite the fact the light+hot water didn't work for my stay.

Affordable accommodation with no frills”
The guest house is clean and is located in the city. The room that we stayed in was average in size but the bathroom ceiling was rather low. Our room was located at the mezzanine floor. There's no cupboard to hang cloths nor any hangers or hooks around. The room was not sound proof and the curtains that supposed to block out the view of anyone walking up to the 1st floor was somewhat short in width. However, the service provided by the receptionist and the resident tok-tok driver was excellent.

To Agoda: Dont you know that DJ Guesthouse is not operating? It is under construction and it is close. No advice or whatever from you (Agoda) or from the guesthouse itself. Will you refund my payment? We spent an hour to two looking for a new place to stay during our day in Phnom Penh.
