I have a lived in Phnom Penh for 10 years and also stayed in many hotels there, so I can say, with some credibility, that this is one of the best hotels in PP. Great pool, great restaurant [with the best breakfast in PP bar-none, I could sit eating breakfast for hours] and excellent facilities. The only small downside is that they have a small number of cheaper rooms which have the toilet and shower in a glass room within your room, which is not too everyone's tastes. But book any of the better rooms and you will be delighted - they are spacious and beautiful. Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We booked via Agoda and had no expectations. We were VERY warmly welcomed and what a beautiful boutique hotel this is. We went away on a trip for a few days and booked ourselves into the Plantation for our return trip and last night in Pnomh Penh. Whilst away we recommended the hotel to a couple of other travellers who we met and then who we were amazed to find in the beautiful swimming pool on our return. The staff are superbly friendly and helpful with transport and recommendations outside of the hotel. The Pool was the best we came across during our visit to Cambodia. The breakfast spread is totally fabulous. The rooms are great and the beds were the BEST and MOST COMFORTABLE we slept in while on our holiday. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Pnomh Penh without a second of hesitation. Many thanks to all the Staff for a truly wonderful stay.

I stayed in Essence Hotel for 3 nights during my trip in Phnom Penh. The location is good, on Monivong Boulevard. You can visit the most majority of famous site of Phnom Penh by feet if you like walk. Rooms are cleans and spacious. Food and breakfast is good too. Hotel is calm and you can relax easiler after a day trip in Phnom Penh. And to finish the review, the most important positive point on this hotel is the staff. They are amazing: very nice, kind and always ready to help you. It was a pleasure to stay on this hotel.

Good clean rooms at low prices. Safe in room. Satellite cable TV. Free wireless Internet. Massage spa in the hotel. The hotel restaurant's food is better and cheaper than most restaurants in area. Hotel staff are excellent, polite, and very helpful. In fact, I have been to Phnom Penh maybe a hundred times before and this hotel has the best staff. The restaurant is lovely with a lot of windows and an outdoor section overlooking a new stylish swimming pool and lounge area. Great for families or parties. The breakfast buffet is very good.

Set just back off a main road Harmony Phnom Penh Hotel offered a unique view into the many contradictions of Phnom Penh. Sitting at breakfast overlooking the crystal chandelier adorned foyer we could easily see the local vendors of the street market selling their wares. Fruits, vegetables, fish, meats, nuts and seeds some easily identifiable and others not so. It was evident that many families lived where their stall was and their homes may not have been more than a hammock and hotplate and yet the happiness was palpable. From the rooftop pool and lounge was undoubtedly the best view of Phnom Penh. In front was the vast rivers, behind the city scape and below the street scape. All different, varying degrees of rich and poor and yet so beautiful in their own unique way. Our room was quite compact and had a wonderful balcony that made it feel bigger than it was but well outfitted and very comfortable. The location was close to many attractions and staff very helpful and friendly

I really enjoyed my stay at this new and modern boutique hotel, centrally located in Phnom Penh. The hotel is sleek and well-designed with the greatest attention to detail throughout, from the lobby to the rooms and from the restaurant to the pool and fitness centre. The staff are very friendly and offer some of the best service that I have ever received at any hotel. I highly recommend this hotel if you're visiting Phnom Penh. Nothing could have been better during my stay!

I live in Cambodia and have visited Phnom Penh many times. I have actually walked past the Frangipani numerous times, but didn't notice it. It's location couldn't be any better for my interests. From the minute I walked into the lobby I was struck by the thoughtfulness of the designer. Much attention was given to the importance of light. This is true in the lobby, our particular room, the restaurant and even the rooftop pool area. For instance, our room had only one standard window, but the amount of natural light in the room was wonderful. On the other hand, in the evening the ceiling lights were kind of subdued which promoted a feeling of relaxation when the guest might have returned after a long day doing tourist activities or attending business meetings. The staff were politely friendly and eager to help. The pool is a good size and there are blooming frangipani trees all around the deck.....you could smell their wonderful aroma. There is also a small (6pp?) Jacuzzi next to the main pool. Our WiFi, bathroom features, cable TV and refrigerator were fine. The breakfast was buffet which is not my cup of tea, so to speak, but the quality of the food they offered was above average, in my opinion. You can't beat the location. The Frangipani is less than 100 meters from the National Museum, the Royal Palace grounds, several interesting art galleries and the Riverfront with its many restaurants and nightlife venues. All in all, the Frangipani became my favorite hotel to stay at when I'm in Phnom Penh, it's a great value. ONE TIP: Our room (#705) is just below part of the breakfast buffet in the morning. Around 10:00 P.M. the staff were moving furniture to set up the buffet for the morning and it was noisy for maybe 10 minutes. It didn't bother us, but you might keep it in mind if noise is a problem for you.

i have nothing but good things to say about my room at raffles le royal hotel. it was plenty spacious with nice hardwood floors, a bathroom with shower and bathtub, free wi-fi, a wonderful balcony, and a bed that is perhaps the most comfortable i've ever slept in - not too firm, not too soft, just perfect. i was absolutely as comfortable as i could be while staying in this room. the restaurants and bars on site were, i suppose, expensive for cambodia, but their prices were perfectly reasonable (actually quite cheap) compared to similar 5-star hotel restaurants and bars in most other countries. i visited the elephant bar expecting an experience more like the raffles long bar in singapore - nothing quite that distinctive, but a pleasant experience nonetheless. the staff were extremely kind and beyond attentive. i would actually go so far as to say that the service was too good for my taste. every time you turn around, there is someone wanting to do something for you. i'm just the kind of person who is very comfortable with that (thank you, but i really can pull my own small suitcase 5 meters). they also kept supplying my room with apples. i usually ate one each morning and gave the other to my tuk tuk drivers as tips. they seemed to really appreciate that. i really did enjoy my stay at le royal immensely, but i probably would not stay there again the next time i visit phnom penh simply due to the location. it's located in a very pleasant boulevard with trees and wide sidewalks. that sounds good and it is, but i believe i'd rather be on the main drag by the river where all the bars and restaurants are. in the le royal neighborhood, there is really nothing there except for some embassies and another hotel (sunway). you end up having to rely on the tuk tuks to get anywhere. so if you're looking for a luxurious gated fortress to hide away from the chaos of phnom penh, le royal is perfect for you. if you'd rather be part of that chaos, i'd suggest looking elsew

This is a great mid range / budget hotel with a great view of the river. I am a repeat customer now staying here on three separate trips to Cambodia. The cheaper rooms are quite small but they have everything you need and the food served in the sky bar is delicious, the crab fried rice my favourite. It's really nice that staff remember you after a year. This will always be my preferred choice in Phnom Penh. Thank you staff.

The Sunway is a very attractive hotel in an ideal location, especially if you need to do have any contact with the US Embassy or USAID. The hotel is also close to UNICEF and a short distance from the river and north bridge leading out of the city. The hotel is right next to Wat Phnom, which is an historical land mark and the site where the city was founded, hence the name Phnom Penh. Dining at the main dining room is excellent albeit a bit on the expensive side ($21 for the evening buffet). Happy hour features a second drink free between 5 and 7 PM. Wireless Internet access was reasonable and very fast. Rates are a bit high at this hotel but still well within reason for a 4-star hotel.

I've stayed here a few times now and it's by far my favorite place to stay in Phnom Penh. Each time I've stayed in the "apartment", which is excellent value for the money. The hotel itself is located on the infamous 136 st. with lots of nightlife entertainment, but the rooms are very quiet. It's also at the end of the street by the Riverside which has lots of great restaurant options, making it an excellent location even if nightlife isn't your thing. Large free breakfast buffet with Western and Asian choices, a convenient store and pharmacy literally across the street and around the corner, an ATM right next door, and at least 3 Tuk-tuks always sitting in front of the hotel to take you wherever you want to go. But the biggest reason I love this hotel is the staff. They really take pride in their jobs and it shows. Just absolutely wonderful.

I stayed just one night on Saturday. This hotel is located near River Side area, Central Market, Golden Sorya Mall and Wat Phnom. It's very good place to walk around the downtown of Phnom Penh city. The room is clean, the complementary is 2 stick coffee, 2 green tee bags and 2 bottle of water. there was bath robe and also a washing machine and detergent(Pay 1USD). I'm not sure there are a washing machine in every room but the fee of this hotel is not so expensive, it would be useful for long-stayers. It was almost perfect for me except breakfast. Breakfast of this hotel is few menu, so i thought it's better to have breakfast at another restaurant. Anyway, if you hope to enjoy Phnom Penh city, I recommend this hotel.

We stayed in Mou Hotel and felt very comfortable that we booked our stay there again the second time in Phnom Penh. Value for money is very good. Our room was clean and had big windows to let in a lot of light. We were cycle touring and they let us keep our bicycles in their secure covered parking no problem. The restaurant did not have a vegan option but they made us fried vegetables with rice, although we were charged the same amount as the dish with meat so I think it was too expensive. Only ate at the restaurant once. Next time I'm in Phnom Penh this is the hotel I will stay in again!

People and services are great, I have had better stay overall for the same price in other places in Cambodia. Found pillow dried up stain on pillow case, opened condom wrapper on the floor, and open toothpaste bottles/ caps in the bathroom. Their food services are pretty good selections. Again, for the price, I had better elsewhere, but this is Phnom Penh and I can’t say for elsewhere in Phnom Penh. It’s the only place I’ve stayed at so far in this city.

the phnom penh hotel was the best hotel in phnom penh went i first went there in 2006. it is a well located hotel with good food and amenities. the main operational staff are very helpful and friendly (but not so much the managers). unfortunately, the hotel is starting to become run down i.e. the building is not being maintained e.g. many large chips in the hallway tiles, bedroom side tables removed and not replaced after becoming damaged, stains on walls not removed, etc. despite this, i would still recommend it for the time being with the deals through agoda being attractive.

Lavanya boutique hotel is the best value money for traveling in Phnom Penh. It locates near famous attraction such as Royal Palace, National Museum, and Central Market. Good facilities and room cleanliness, the staff is very nice and prompt to support me while stays at the hotel. Moreover, you are able to travel around Phnom Penh by Tuk Tuk. That's easy to use PassApp Taxi without extra charge and more convenience by using application.

Hometown hotel is very good value. Placed directly on street 172 where excellent cafes and bars are on your doorstep. It is a short walk to the riverside. The staff are welcoming and Snowy does everything she can to make you feel at home. Although a three star hotel there were hot showers and a decent bathroom. (Toiletries were a little scant so you may want to take your own). I didn't eat at the hotel as there was too much choice elsewhere but. Breakfast is available if you want it.i will definitely return here when I visitPhnom Penh again.

Green Palace Hotel is located in the center of Phnom Penh city and a stone throw to the renounced Wat Phnom, Central Market, Royal Palace, Independent Monument and many others. It is the perfect choice for both the business and leisure travelers. Moreover, the area is surrounded by restaurants, local market and a variety of entertainments. Furthermore, public transport is accessibly convenience right infont of the hotel including taxi and motorcycle taxi. Green Palace Hotel is approximately 20 minutes drive by car from Phnom Penh International Airport.

I regularly stay in Juliana Hotel on business trips to Phnom Penh. Besides everything needed for business travelers, this hotel offers a nice and relaxing atmoshpere for the free time, including a large swimming pool area. It is classified 3*, but the standard is rather the one of a 4* hotel. Rooms are freshly renovated and well maintained. The hotel is also just a 15 - 20 minutes drive from the airport, even during rush hours. On the other hand, it takes some time to get into the city center. Staff was very friendly and helpful and I enjoy the dinner buffet in the restaurant.

The Amanjaya is my favorite hotel in Phnom Penh. The Price may be high by compared to other four star hotels but one gets consistant value from the Amanjaya. The rooms are large and th2y are done in a collonial, cambodian style that is pleasant and functional. The staff is excellent and shows much attention to detail. The location on the riverfront and one block from the Royal Palace is the best of any hotel in Phnom Penh.

I have stayed in many 2/3/4 star hotels in Phnom Penh. This one is the best to date. If you are a single guy or a couple this is as good as it gets for location. (The river end of street 130). The rooms are small but have, air, safe, fridge, good tv, WiFi, coffee and bathroom soaps etc. The best of all are the fantastic beds, so soft, cosy and quiet. There is a rooftop bar and viewing area on the 14th floor where you can see the city and riverside. The hotel is guest friendly and the breakfast buffet was adequate although cold for some odd reason. On the minus no pool or parking but at around $30 for the basic room it's good value. They have larger rooms with a balcony if you ask.

There are not very many high quality hotels in the central part of Phnom Penh's Riverside, and The Quay Hotel is one of them.The hotel is small; it has 16 rooms, eight suites and eight standard rooms. My room was a suite; an elegantly designed and well appointed room with double bed, television area with two recliner chairs and footrests, and an office area with a large desk. The bathroom is very large, with a rainforest shower and a deep tub. Suite rooms only have balconies, with good views of the Tonle Sap River. If you have difficulty with stairs, check before booking at Phnom Penh hotels. The Quay DOES have an elevator, but many others do not.

Our stay at Niron Boutique Hotel was fantastic! This is a hotel that people should not miss! Their rates are reasonable and the staff are friendly and approachable. Our booking got upgraded free of charge to a better room as someone walked in the day of our check-in. A pleasant surprise that was! =) The rooms are clean and they have a nice view of the river. The sunrise can be seen from the balcony, sadly it was blocked by another hotel opposite the river. Nonetheless, the sunrise was still beautiful and the river's charm was hardly marred by the blocked sunrise. The sunrise can still be seen after some patience when it peeks above the opposite hotel. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel, more than enough choices for anyone. Just a bit pricey when compared against the cheap street food in Phnom Penh. The hotel staff could come up with a list of restaurants they can recommend or direct guests to the nearest street food area or markets to complement their services. The tuk tuk driver we hired to go Choeung Ek Killing Fields on the next day was very enthusiastic and affable despite his lack of command of English. It was very commendable that he was open to changes of our original plan to go to Central Market instead of back to the hotel after our visit to Choeung Ek Killing Fields. Niron Boutique hotel can consider to keep this driver as a regular driver for their guests for his winning attitude and service. We did not manage to get his name unfortunately so if Niron Boutique hotel staff wishes to see his face, please PM us. There were only two things we felt was lacking at Niron Boutique hotel. There was a rather large green stain on one of the beds in our room and a faulty light switch that could not be turned on properly. Niron Boutique hotel staff should be more meticulous to check for any stains on their beds or sofa and to fix any faulty switches. Other than these two issues, our stay was pleasant and enjoyble. The hotel itself was quite modern, location is a few minute tuk tuk ride from the touristy areas. The room I stayed in was beautiful and was on the top floor, with floor to ceiling windows. The view was amazing. The room was very spacious and my boyfriend and I loved it. The downside however, was that the room smelled like some sewage system has gone wrong. It wasn't a very strong odor, but it was just lingering around the room until the aircon is turned on and the stench in the air is filtered out. The shower drainage was blocked as well. The staff was very friendly, but had a little trouble communicating in English. Room service food and the breakfast was great. If you'd want a midrange hotel in phnom penh this would be the best choice.
