Where to stay in Doun Penh
Doun Penh hotels & accommodations

Highly recommend Okay Boutique. We felt safe. Service was excellent. Overwhelmed by the hotel design and detail. View from the pool, roof restaurant was excellent. Food was excellent. Had no complaints. Have stayed at the Cambodiana, Phnom Penh Hotel, Imperial Gardens, Naga Hotel, Juliana and others. Definitely put Okay Boutique on the top of the list.

I have a lived in Phnom Penh for 10 years and also stayed in many hotels there, so I can say, with some credibility, that this is one of the best hotels in PP. Great pool, great restaurant [with the best breakfast in PP bar-none, I could sit eating breakfast for hours] and excellent facilities. The only small downside is that they have a small number of cheaper rooms...

I stayed in Essence Hotel for 3 nights during my trip in Phnom Penh. The location is good, on Monivong Boulevard. You can visit the most majority of famous site of Phnom Penh by feet if you like walk. Rooms are cleans and spacious. Food and breakfast is good too. Hotel is calm and you can relax easiler after a day trip in Phnom Penh. And to finish the review, the most ...

Good clean rooms at low prices. Safe in room. Satellite cable TV. Free wireless Internet. Massage spa in the hotel. The hotel restaurant's food is better and cheaper than most restaurants in area. Hotel staff are excellent, polite, and very helpful. In fact, I have been to Phnom Penh maybe a hundred times before and this hotel has the best staff. The restaurant is...

Set just back off a main road Harmony Phnom Penh Hotel offered a unique view into the many contradictions of Phnom Penh. Sitting at breakfast overlooking the crystal chandelier adorned foyer we could easily see the local vendors of the street market selling their wares. Fruits, vegetables, fish, meats, nuts and seeds some easily identifiable and others not so. It wa...

I and my wife were stayed at New York hotel for few night, when i enter to the room is so nice with good view and breakfast so grate I would like to recommend this hotel to every one who want to stay in Phnom Penh city because the stay in the best location to every where that you want to go .

I really enjoyed my stay at this new and modern boutique hotel, centrally located in Phnom Penh. The hotel is sleek and well-designed with the greatest attention to detail throughout, from the lobby to the rooms and from the restaurant to the pool and fitness centre. The staff are very friendly and offer some of the best service that I have ever received at any hot...

I live in Cambodia and have visited Phnom Penh many times. I have actually walked past the Frangipani numerous times, but didn't notice it. It's location couldn't be any better for my interests. From the minute I walked into the lobby I was struck by the thoughtfulness of the designer. Much attention was given to the importance of light. This is true in the lobby, our...

i have nothing but good things to say about my room at raffles le royal hotel. it was plenty spacious with nice hardwood floors, a bathroom with shower and bathtub, free wi-fi, a wonderful balcony, and a bed that is perhaps the most comfortable i've ever slept in - not too firm, not too soft, just perfect. i was absolutely as comfortable as i could be while staying in ...

This is a great mid range / budget hotel with a great view of the river. I am a repeat customer now staying here on three separate trips to Cambodia. The cheaper rooms are quite small but they have everything you need and the food served in the sky bar is delicious, the crab fried rice my favourite. It's really nice that staff remember you after a year. This will alway...

The Sunway is a very attractive hotel in an ideal location, especially if you need to do have any contact with the US Embassy or USAID. The hotel is also close to UNICEF and a short distance from the river and north bridge leading out of the city. The hotel is right next to Wat Phnom, which is an historical land mark and the site where the city was founded, hence the n...

I've stayed here a few times now and it's by far my favorite place to stay in Phnom Penh. Each time I've stayed in the "apartment", which is excellent value for the money. The hotel itself is located on the infamous 136 st. with lots of nightlife entertainment, but the rooms are very quiet. It's also at the end of the street by the Riverside which has lots of great ...

I stayed just one night on Saturday. This hotel is located near River Side area, Central Market, Golden Sorya Mall and Wat Phnom. It's very good place to walk around the downtown of Phnom Penh city. The room is clean, the complementary is 2 stick coffee, 2 green tee bags and 2 bottle of water. there was bath robe and also a washing machine and detergent(Pay 1USD). I'm ...

We stayed in Mou Hotel and felt very comfortable that we booked our stay there again the second time in Phnom Penh. Value for money is very good. Our room was clean and had big windows to let in a lot of light. We were cycle touring and they let us keep our bicycles in their secure covered parking no problem. The restaurant did not have a vegan option but they made u...

People and services are great, I have had better stay overall for the same price in other places in Cambodia. Found pillow dried up stain on pillow case, opened condom wrapper on the floor, and open toothpaste bottles/ caps in the bathroom. Their food services are pretty good selections. Again, for the price, I had better elsewhere, but this is Phnom Penh and I can’t...

Lavanya boutique hotel is the best value money for traveling in Phnom Penh. It locates near famous attraction such as Royal Palace, National Museum, and Central Market. Good facilities and room cleanliness, the staff is very nice and prompt to support me while stays at the hotel. Moreover, you are able to travel around Phnom Penh by Tuk Tuk. That's easy to use PassApp...

It was my first time stay in Rosewood hotel Phnom Penh, Our room was in 27th floor, duty manager Maria know that we were planning to make a birthday celebrating in room. Moreover, she made a upgrade to Mekong view for us. The room, the view, the atmosphere, and the staff are really great. The location of the hotel is close to the center, very convenient.

Hometown hotel is very good value. Placed directly on street 172 where excellent cafes and bars are on your doorstep. It is a short walk to the riverside. The staff are welcoming and Snowy does everything she can to make you feel at home. Although a three star hotel there were hot showers and a decent bathroom. (Toiletries were a little scant so you may want to take y...

Green Palace Hotel is located in the center of Phnom Penh city and a stone throw to the renounced Wat Phnom, Central Market, Royal Palace, Independent Monument and many others. It is the perfect choice for both the business and leisure travelers. Moreover, the area is surrounded by restaurants, local market and a variety of entertainments. Furthermore, public transport...

Excellent boutique hotel. Good wifi, good aircon, good breakfast, good location, excellent staff. This is a renovated French colonial mansion with only 12 rooms. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, the best quality for their price in Phnom Penh. I highly recommend this hotel for families, couples and individuals.

I regularly stay in Juliana Hotel on business trips to Phnom Penh. Besides everything needed for business travelers, this hotel offers a nice and relaxing atmoshpere for the free time, including a large swimming pool area. It is classified 3*, but the standard is rather the one of a 4* hotel. Rooms are freshly renovated and well maintained. The hotel is also just a 15 ...

The Amanjaya is my favorite hotel in Phnom Penh. The Price may be high by compared to other four star hotels but one gets consistant value from the Amanjaya. The rooms are large and th2y are done in a collonial, cambodian style that is pleasant and functional. The staff is excellent and shows much attention to detail. The location on the riverfront and one block from t...

I have stayed in many 2/3/4 star hotels in Phnom Penh. This one is the best to date. If you are a single guy or a couple this is as good as it gets for location. (The river end of street 130). The rooms are small but have, air, safe, fridge, good tv, WiFi, coffee and bathroom soaps etc. The best of all are the fantastic beds, so soft, cosy and quiet. There is a roofto...

There are not very many high quality hotels in the central part of Phnom Penh's Riverside, and The Quay Hotel is one of them. The hotel is small; it has 16 rooms, eight suites and eight standard rooms. My room was a suite; an elegantly designed and well appointed room with double bed, television area with two recliner chairs and footrests, and an office area with a larg...

Our stay at Niron Boutique Hotel was fantastic! This is a hotel that people should not miss! Their rates are reasonable and the staff are friendly and approachable. Our booking got upgraded free of charge to a better room as someone walked in the day of our check-in. A pleasant surprise that was! =) The rooms are clean and they have a nice view of the river. The sunr...

The hotel itself was quite modern, location is a few minute tuk tuk ride from the touristy areas. The room I stayed in was beautiful and was on the top floor, with floor to ceiling windows. The view was amazing. The room was very spacious and my boyfriend and I loved it. The downside however, was that the room smelled like some sewage system has gone wrong. It wasn't a...
Cheap places to stay in Doun Penh

Hostel is a converted apartment and quite quiet at the moment, so feel like you have your own apartment in the centre of Phnom Penh with a balcony overlooking the city. Owner is super friendly and nice and the security at the hostel is state of the art with finger scanner to enter!!! Great shower and a million food options in the area, and all of this and still the ch...

Absolutely my favorite hostel I stayed at while going around Cambodia! The staff from the moment you walk in were all amazing, friendly and super helpful. They're always available to ask questions, get tips or information on things to do both inside and out of Phnom Penh. Food options were great and affordable, all areas were clean and modern, very awesome location clo...

booked one night at the last minute after a horrendous hotel which I stayed in for 2hrs. this was place was very cheap, very clean (a toilet was blocked but that can happen anywhere ), the upstairs rook terrace is a lovely place to chill and have a drink (maybe watch the music levels somewhat!) and the beds were very clean and comfy. the lovely girl on reception helpe...

Beds were cleans and comfortable. Showers are wet rooms but water is hot with good pressure. Dorms always depend on the people in the room, but mine were fairly quiet. Nice place to chill out on the rooftop bar with happy hour and a pool/football table to use. Food is reasonably priced but pretty basic. Not much in the area, though I wouldn’t advise staying in Phnom Pe...

The Nawin Guesthouse have been my 2nd home in Phnom Penh since I set foot in this bustling city since 2010. Huge clean rooms, shiny marbled floors, blackout curtains, comfortable big beds, with cable TV, mini fridge, wardrobe, wall mounted aircon, wall fan ,telephone, hot and cold shower, toiletries, with 2 complimentary bottles of water replenish everyday. Computers w...

My travel buddy and I had a great time at Velkommen! The food was on par for the value, cheap booze, but most of all we LOVED the staff! So friendly, helpful and easy to banter with. Will definitely stay there again next time we hit Phnom Penh! We originally stayed in the dorms but moved into a double room for a couple of nights which was great. Definitely recommend! -...

We stay for 2 nights, it has basic facilities but it’s efficient for traveller who had strict budget but wish to have some private room with equipped bathroom. For agoda promotion rate $10/ night, it was beat off deal. Pros: 1. Big space room with big space bathroom also. 2 big window and big wardrobe with mirror 3. Well located, 5 minutes walk to pshar kandal, 8 minu...

I have been 2 years in Phnom Penh, stayed in many guest houses especially in street 172 and 19 (which is very close to 172 where the guest house is located). I like this area because of 10s of restaurants and guest houses, cafes, supermarkets, very close to the river and most of the attractions, and has many backpackers. I always don't expect much from $11-$12 double A...

We had a lovely stay at the Billabong Hotel in Phnom Penh. The location was good, only a 5 minute walk away to the Central Market, and the many tuk-tuks that waited outside the hotel entrance made it easy to get anywhere in the city. The pool was really nice to come back to in the hot afternoons...a luxury that a lot of other Phnom Penh hotels didn't have when we wer...

I originally booked for 2 nights here, but extended to 5 ngihts as there was so much to see in Phnom Penh, and this hostel was so good. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They never fail to say Good morning, ask what my plans are, how my day was, welcome me back in the evening etc. I can't sing their praises enough. They also serve cheap, tasty food and ...

My husband and I stayed at Base Villa in November 2015 for three nights in a king room with balcony. We live in Cambodia but were in Phnom Penh to do errands and shopping. The location of Base is very convenient, close to the river, shops & restaurants, Aeon Mall, markets, etc. (Usually $2 tuk-tuk away.) The neighbourhood seemed clean and safe. We loved the pool and l...

Had a really nice stay here, the beds are super comfy and have curtains around each bed which is great for privacy. The 6 bed dorm was clean and so cheap! WiFi isn’t great but we weren’t in the room too much as lots to see around Phnom Penh. Restaurants and bars are local aswell which was great. We tried to book another night here but was all sold out so that was a sh...

I arrived here at 4.20 and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The entrance location was a little difficult to find but all the tuk tuk driver out front were incredibly helpful, and it was all worth it when you see the view. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms were cleaned often. Staff were helpful with any queries. Considering it was the cheapest accommodati...

I like to stay in this Dolphin Hostel. This hostel was seriously the best hostel, value for money, very friendly and helpful staffs, had a/c for 24 hrs, very clean hostel, dorm bed, bathroom and this hostel location was very close to everything. They also have TV in the lounge. Big size dorm bed and very strong metal bed and with very big size of individual locker. I l...

One of the best and affordable hostel in Phnom Penh..... I am a Nigerian and the staffs are awesome... You are gonna make new friends and they don't discriminate.. Don't spend money without having the value for it.. At Lebou hostel, you are gonna see the value for your money.. very affordable..

The staff is very friendly. For 10 dollars you can't do better. Everything works, air con, wifi, tv. You can come and go as you please. Good location. Every time I return to Phnom Penh I book a room here. Rooms are clean, and if you want new towels or sheets just ask the friends at the reception desk.

This hostel has the feeling of a hotel. The space is decorated with a really great modern feel. It's very clean. The rooms are not huge, but the bed is very comfortable and our room had a tv, locker and plenty of areas to place our bags. We booked a double private room and the bathroom was situated on the same floor-bathroom was also very clean. The staff was extremely...

I had booked a 12- bed female dorm but when they went to show me the room it was a mixed dorm. When I protested they went back checking the booking and I got a bed in a 4-bed female dorm because the 12-bed was full. I was happy about it. The only downside during my time was the time to get a breakfast. It took about 20-25 minutes which made me a bit nervous as I had a ...

staff not nice they not welcome when i arrival there and show booking look like they never see Agoda booking before ....after check in the owner ask us to use hotel tuk tuk but we deny and told them we already have tuk tuk to look around she look grumpy..we bought hotel bus ticket to Siemreap from her and she said the bus will pick us up at hotel but when we ready to...

Enjoyable stay in Phnom Penh. Hotel is just around the corner from the palace, pagoda and restaurant street. Nice decor in rooms, AC worked well but the Internet was very slow, not that that's an issue. Staff were friendly and the tuk tuk drivers at the front of the hotel were great! Just make sure you haggle with them.

At first you would be confuse on where it is as the hotels front is a convience store but the tuktuk driver knows it just by its name. We stayed here just for one night. The location is great! It located just a walking distance from the riverside, the royal palace and national museum. The room is big with water heater, refrigerator and coffee cups. Didn't mind thw tv...

We only were in Phnom Penh for two nights and needed a cheap place to stay in a good location with A/C. This was more than adequate for our stay. The no window room is actually quite small, but it was all we needed. The A/C was cold and wifi was fast. The restaurant downstairs is surprisingly good and has a nice atmosphere. The staff were helpful. The cons would ...

i stayed 2 weeks & would have stayed longer if i havent had to leave. a family business runs, very pleasant & polite. location is further out from the riverfront but easily reach to most part of ppenh as its pretty central. few minutes walk to orussey market, youd get to explore & experience the locals life with the surrounding if that interest you.

With mixed reviews before we arrived we didn't know what to expect other than it was a modern hotel. We were pleasantly surprised what we found. There is endless construction sites all over pnonm Penh so the double glazed windows (soundproof) was our first thumbs up. The facilities upstairs, rooftop pool was fab and tended to be quiet in the mornings so we had it t...

I was looking for a hotel with a pool because my youngest daughter needed her regular swim. There was no problem relaying such requests because they spoke English very well...

Very rare i give 10 stars to any hotel, but with this one i havent found any mistakes yet, even i extended my staying and returned again once more. Amazing and helpfull staff with giving full attention, makes you feel welcomed at arriv...

We recently stayed at Nou’s River Hotel and had an excellent experience for the duration of our stay. The staff were excellent and made us feel very welcome. The room felt next to new; a...

This hotel was my safe haven after exploring the hectic but fascinating city Phnom Penh is. The hotel is a good hotel with the basic essentials you would expect in a hotel of this rating. The staff are very friendly. Really good restaurants just across the street. Highly recommend "Le Bouchon Wine Bar" is a French restaurant and the best place I have eaten at in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Hotel has easy access to cheap transportation (mainly tuk tuk). Plenty of night life nearby and it is not far from the River section of the city.
