Peacefull and relaxing place”

breathtaking sea view, peacefull and quiet place, friendly staff

Eco Sea Dive Bungalows was very nice place to stay. Before we arrived to the island we went to the office at the mainland and there was nice staff who told us about the island and there was nice man who walked us to the harbour and told us right ferry and where to stay off so it was very helpfull. At the island there was private harbour, one restaurant, one bar and bungalows next to each other and nothing else near by. So what to do in peacefull island? Most important thing that we did was relaxing. So nice to be far away from cities. You can also swim in crystal clear sea or enjoy the sun or if you want little bit adventure there are little village walking distance from bungalows. Village is full of nice local people despite there are tourists in their village. And you can eat there if you get bored to the restaurant at the bungalows. The Bar at the bungalows were very relaxing and it was kept by friendly staff with cozy attitude and they are very helpfull. It was very nice to meet them and therefore we had sad feeling when we had to leave. Bungalows were also nice and cute except cold water and huge gaps between walls and roof. If they fill the gaps there won't be cold wind blowing trough or hand size spiders. But luckily we had nice lizards in our room so they kept those crowling monsters away. It was very nice to be away from noisy streets, shouting people and disturbing pollution of the city. Sea view was also fantastic and it was relaxin and peacefull place to stay.

lovely staff that go out of their way to help and ”

helpful staff, cheap tasty food, beautiful bungalows

Quite hard to get to from Koh Rong so go directly to Koh Rong Sanloem first then Koh Rong. Lovely staff that were happy to move my booking when I couldn't get there for the first night of my booking because of the ferry. Decent priced and tasty food. Clean. Not on the main beach but that's the beauty of it pretty much have the beach to yourself.

Relaxing place”

The staff, the location and it's beautiful location

My stay was really good! Stayed for four nights and it was really peaceful, loved the staff and the location. Isolated but with the possibility to walk in to a nearby village for some more restaurants. The diving was also good with a couple of dive sites, the dives are reef dives in shallow waters down to 15-16 meters which lead to long dives 50-65 minutes!

Relaxing, lazy days ”

Beach, friendly atmosphere, hammocks

We enjoyed the private beach and very relaxing athmosphere. Though 15 mins walk far from M'Pei Village, this resort is private and closed on its own. If you are looking for a place far from it all, it is ideal! Unless you walk to the village, the resort is you bar and restaurant as well. After a bit the menu can become boring but that is normal since it is the only restaurant. Food is good -not exceptional but good. The setting and the decor are amazing. But it is slightly overpriced I think for the bungalow you get (although up to 4 people can sleep on them, sp if you are a family or a group of friends the price per head drops significally!). There is no wifi and we liked it. You can do many things from the resort (diving trip is with Cambodian Diving Group, I enjoyed it!) or from the village, but you need to ask! There is a lot of rubbish just behind the paths, due to bad tourists which is sad to see. Lovely stay!

Not feel welcome”

the spot

First of all it was good for the very small price per night. The beach has nothing less than a 5 stars resort, really but the stuff is not welcoming at all at the contrary during our 5 days we got the impression to disturb, the beach was really dirty, the first day we collect 2 big plastic bags of garbage, the second 4 bags and finally the stuff of Eco Sea got the "message" and clean the beach. The general state of the bungalow is not the best all needs maintenance and in general is a mess all around. The restaurant is not bad but see the cooks chew your meal during preparation is annoying. When we ask at the Bar about snorkeling and diving the only answer was literally "yes" with very poor explanation, worst the next day we discover the guy near the one who answer us was the manager of the dive center he never talk to us in 5 days. This is a pity because the place is really a paradise but the it suffer of a total absence of management.

Pretty average ”

pros and cons staying here pros being the staff do seem to like to keep the immediate area clean offering free beer if you collect bags of rubbish and seem that they do their bit to to keep the beach clean you notice this if you walk further you will see a lot of rubbish which is a shame as would be a stunning island if not for this but is still pretty at places, the staff were generally friendly but did have a bit of a dispute at end, when we arrived we were sent to the furthest 'beach bungalow' got unpacked to then be told we were given wrong room, had to pack up and carry our rather heavy suitcases to a 'jungle bungalow' we didn't like look of this room as much asked if a beach bungalow came free if we could get one, the manager said yes after 2 nights in jungle bungalow with rats in room at times we got moved to beach bungalow for last night, when paying tried charging us more money for change of room despite not being told there would be extra to pay and despite our inconvenience.

Location, bungalow ”

Location, quiet, location

First of all, the private beach is beautiful. We were there during low season so only a few people to share this paradise with. Now regarding the accommodation at ecosea. We had the bungalow in front of the sea. We shared it with a family of giant gecko lizards that stayed during the 2 nights. We were supposed to stay 3 but left before. They are not mean but when you see four 30cm lizards jumping out of nowhere while taking a shower, it can give you emotions. The worst is that they poop everywhere specially on the bed. So it was covered by poop when we arrived and every morning you wake up surrounded by it, and that's with a mosquito net. We were lucky cause our neighbors had the big spiders but only one lizard. Second issue we had was the lack of electricity. We can live without it but spending a night in a wooden box when it's 40° without any air is just unbearable. Even the locals who were working there slept outside on the hamacs. On the 2nd night the generator wasn't working so no fan at all. My partner got dehydrated because of the heat. So we decided to leave to get a room with a working fan. The staff is very nice and helpful. The owner from what we saw, talks to them without manners and has a bad attitude. The room was never cleaned in the 3 days we spent there.

Ecosea dive bungalows”

Isolated location if you want quiet but it is VERY isolated. 20 minute walk to the village.by the beach.and jungle path. You need a torch!

The bungalow was fine but extremely hot once the electricity is turned off. Impossible to sleep with the heat. The bungalow was never cleaned during our 3 night stay not even a bin emptied. The staff are lovely. Bar prices more expensive than the village and Saracen bay.

A bit locked area you can travel only by taxi boat. You can walk to a local village or you can track to Cristal Bay during 25 minutes. Basic accomodation, no aircon, no fridge no signal for all network. Diving possibility is very good with a good divemaster.

Price - quality did not meet expectations”

Nice long beach, local friendly staff is, little fishing village with restaurants walk distance

We have stayed for a couple of nights. We enjoyed our stay at the nice beach, although the price quality does not match at all comparered to the rest of Cambodia. Breakfast is not included. The property and grounds needs maintenance and a manager that takes care of the place. Friendly local staff, but the foodquality varies. Good to know that the bungalows / property is located at the northern beach on the island (not at Saracen bay, only reachable by boat)

Location, sea view and quietness

Owner was a bit 'tranactional' and a tyrant and it was confirmed by the food prices and limited happy hour offer. It's a great location and I'd strongly recommend going to the village for some customer service and quality food. Tranquil beach huts at hotel prices.

Perfect spot for being away from civilization ”

Peaceful & quiet place. Really natural & sauvage stay! Beach spot is amazing!

I loved it! Come with a book and intention to absolutely do nothing in a real quiet place,, this is the best place'! However you need to know that as soon as you are there, you can not go somewhere else than the beach of this resort. You always need to take a private boat, they can arrange one for you to go around other beaches but this is 40-60 usd for few hours.
