"Koukaso, Eniwa is located in a residential area that is very quite. It is just 4 minutes walk to the Shimamatsu (H8) JR Station on the Sapporo-Tomakomai Line. By car, it is only 25 minutes to the New Chitose Airport and a 30 minutes train ride to Sapporo. There are neighborhood restaurants and convenient stores nearby. The facility is a residential home that is converted for lodging. It is about a year old, very clean and well-kept. For those who are not comfortable with communal bathrooms, this home have common shower/bathroom rooms that are for single-person use. Although the facility is located near the rail track, it is not noisy if you keep the windows closed, The only downside is that the rooms do not have air-conditioner and that can be stuffy during summer, although a stand fan is provided. If you open the windows for ventilations, it can be noisy when the trains pass by. The lady owner converse fluently in Mandarin and can offer very useful information about different places to visits as well as good restaurants that the locals patronize."
