Gatwick Airport hotels & places to stay

Friendly, helpful staff at Reception and in the restaurant/bar. The room was spacious, pleasantly cool on arrival rather than overheated like most hotel rooms. Travelodge beds are very comfortable. The rooms are simply furnished and restful on the eye. Internet works well – but costs £3 per 24 hours extra. I like the fact that at Travelodge hotels you can pick up more tea, coffee, milk & sugar in the lobby if you need it without having to ask. The hotel is not far from Gatwick Airport – there is a bus from stop No. 8 which will bring you to the Travelodge – current fare £4 (from both North & South Terminal). Overall, a very pleasant stay if you're arriving very late at night or heading out very early.

Suited our needs and our budget when we flew in to Gatwick Airport Saturday afternoon and left very early Monday morning. We got value for money but needs to be updated: carpeted bathrooms, loud toilet refill, not much space for luggage and free wifi downstairs only. Friendly staff though and great service with the shuttle getting to/from Gatwick Airport. Well located to train station into London as well.

Very welcoming receptionist who carried my case upstairs without being asked (nice). Bar and lounge and restaurant for customers. Parking available. Good location for Gatwick and hotel offers mini-bus service for flights. Bus no 20 and 100 (northbound) go along the road (press the button for Massetts Road) BUT the stops are not near the hotel, which is on the corner in between stops. The room was small, clean and had everything I needed including drink making facilities but was obviously a space created from a large room division which made it a bit noisy with thin plasterboard walls. Bed comfortable; only 1 pillow. Walk into Horley town centre is less than 10 minutes. Minibus service booked cost me 5.50 GBP for 5.30 am which arrived promptly. Pay in hotel day before. Did not eat here but food offered was reasonable priced and all home cooked. Available up to 9.30 at night. Can have a room without option of breakfast which I did as I was leaving so early. Good for Gatwick airport. Road outside can be noisy but only at rush hours and it's mainly because of the traffic lights outside but no noise during the night.

This was my second stay at Arora within a two week period. I spent a lot of time looking at the various areas and hotels around Gatwick airport prior to deciding to stay at Arora. My research definitely paid off as I love this hotel! It's much more luxurious than I'm used to in the U.S. for this price range. It has a pub and restaurant right there, an espresso cafe in the lobby and 24 hour bar on the other side of it. The building is modern with high ceilings and uplifting. You will see a lot of pilots and flight attendants staying here, and presumably they will know the best hotels near the airport. It's about 10 minutes walk to the train station and to the shopping mall. Super convenient. Both rooms were equally luxurious with the nicest bathrooms I've ever seen, including a deep bathtub for soaking and a separate shower stall. I used the tub exclusively :-) The beds were soft but firm enough for support. I slept very well there. I liked that the rooms have fridges too. A+!

I have stayed here many times when flying out from Gatwick or when collecting family arriving early. It is often easier to travel up the night before and stay here instead of leaving home at the crack of dawn and suffering rush hour traffic. This low cost hotel offers 2 weeks on site parking if you stay for 1 night - so that's a great deal. You can stay 1 night before you depart and leave your car here whole you are on holiday. 5 mins by taxi to the airport makes this location very convenient. The food off the menu was surprisingly good. The steak pie was July and tasty and the chicken tikka baked potato was very tasty. If you're looking for something very basic and value for money then this is for you.

If you need to be close to Gatwick Airport and at the same time within easy walking distance to the restaurants and amenities of Horley town centre, ad the railway station, then the location of this property is hard to beat. Most of the other B&Bs in Horley are less conveniently located. but what makes this property so special is the owner who went of his way to help, never have we felt so welcome. Highly receommended

the white house hotel at gatwick is ideally situated being five minutes from Gatwick airport the courtesy bus is every half hour and is prompt the rooms are acceptable and the breakfast satisfactory we did not use either the bar or resteraut but they looked ok the courtesy bus returned us to the airport the following day where it was no problem to change our departure/check out time all in all the White house suited our needs and we will use them again should we be travelling via Gatwick

My family of four and I really enjoyed our one night stay at the Gatwick Belmont Hotel. We had the family room (two rooms & bathroom) that was separate, with a separate entrance, on the second floor. Both rooms were very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and convenient, and each room had a sink. We had the traditional English breakfast before our flight out of Gatwick, and it was delicious and hearty. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The pleasant town of Horley was within walking distance. I would definitely stay at the Gatwick Belmont Hotel if I were flying into/out of Gatwick Airport. Thanks GBH.

Complementary DIY English Breakfast & self-service laundry which is available 24 hours! Fridge was well stocked with eggs, bacon, ham, cheese, sausages, bread, milk and juices. Staff were friendly and helpful. We checked in past midnight and the reception was already closed at then but they emailed us with helpful information to get in to our room. About 5-10 minute drive away from Gatwick Airport.

Great location and value. They do charge £3.00 each trip to from airport. I should have expected that, but have become used to US hotels charging nothing. I broke my wrist before arriving at gatwick. The staff at Acorn, loaded my bags, then took them to my room. You only get that sort of service at expensive hotels in US.. Overall I was very impressed. I would gladly use the Acorn again. Small family run place, very clean and organized.

Only stayed for 1 night but this is a perfect little guesthouse. The rooms are thoughtfully laid out with everything you need. The staff were friendly and waited up for us even when out flight was delayed so we didn't arrive until 1am. We had a lovely breakfast in our room in the morning before we were driven right to the place we were hiring a car from that day. They were also happy to take fit our surfboards in the car. I stayed in Masslink only for 1 night to catch an early flight from Gatwick. However, I had a good experience right from time of booking. The innkeeper sent an email very quickly to confirm my reservation through Agoda. On learning that I had a 7am flight to catch, they immediately helped to book a taxi to pick me up at 4.45am. I was pleasantly surprised at the thoughtful and personalised service. The guesthouse is not particularly easy to get to from the railway station (Horley). For those who want to walk from the station, think carefully if you are carrying large luggages. My roller suitcase survived but took a beating as the road is quite rough. If you are relying on Google map without GPS (dataline is quite expensive in UK), don't. The innkeeper gives good instructions in their confirmation email. There are also a number of taxis just outside the railway station. The town seems like a pleasant English town. The inn has a little guidefile on the things to do and place to eat. My twin room is reasonably sized. The shared bath was nice and hot (bring own toiletries) However there is no lift to second floor so I left my big luggage at the hallway. This may not be desirable for those staying more than one day or have not packed a night bag. All in all, had a good rest for by flight. Too bad I could'nt stay longer.

Pretty crappy experience, overall. We arrived late in the evening to find the building locked. Called the manager, who had no track of our booking. The room was 5 beds side by side in what was probably the dining room or lounge of a large victorian house. Clean bathroom, and clean sheets -- but really a cheap room of beds rather than a hotel room. And 4* is definitely a massive over-rating.

The Holiday Inn located at Gatwick Airport is very close to the Airport so the location is very convenient for onward travel or for arriving from another destination. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. My one complaint is the airport shuttle bus to the hotel stops running at 23:20. Because of the late arrival of my flight I was not able to catch this bus so had to pay (!) in a taxi for a journey that was less than two miles.

Good airport hotel for the value of money paid. Friendly staffs both at reception and restaurant. Bathroom has bathtub and toiletries provided. In the morning the buffet breakfast provided same level with 4 star hotel with so many option to choose from. Located next to gas stations and convenient store. This hotel can be reached 10 minutes by bus from Gatwick Airport as it’s the 2nd stop from South Terminal. Shuttle from the hotel to airport available every 15 minutes.

We have used Gatwick house a couple of times for catching our connecting flights (Only 5 minutes by mini cab). Always have been met with lovely people and a nice room. They also have excellent contacts with local mini cab companies who are efficient, timely and very well priced. The local pub does a fantastic meal but book early. We would definitely stay here on our future visits.

fantastic budget hotel. small but more than adequate for over night staff. You can eat at the restaurant's at the hotel, which gives you plenty of options rather being tidied into eating at the hotel. Room was clean, tidy and you can control everything by a tablet there, which was a novelty. I had a window in my room despite being a cheap room. Best part is you are in Gatwick Airport and walk out straight to departures .....you cant ask better than that will definitely use this hotel again and book through this site as it gave the cheapest price
