Pleasant hotel not too far from Seongsan Ilchul-bong”

We stayed 5 nights in the modern Golden Tulip hotel. And we had a wonderful stay, mainly because we got upgraded after some technical issues with our room. The standard rooms are not that special, although it has a big shower. The room we ended up in, had a jacuzzi, a massive king size bed and 180-degrees sea view. You have to be aware that not only the breakfast is not included in the price, the rooftop pool isn’t either. You have to pay 10.000 won each, to access the knee deep pool. This isn’t mentioned on the hotel website nor on the booking site. The artist impression of the hotel and it’s location is also misleading as it’s not a beach side location. There is a beach in walking distance. There are plenty of seafood and pork restaurants nearby. Budget options for diner are a bit limited. The bus stop is nearby, so it is easy to get around. Some staff members speak English. They solved the issues during our stay.

Pros: 1. Have parking lots inside hotel 2. Have CU convenient shop inside hotel 3. Near to seongsan ilchubong sunrise area, driving 3 mins 4. In front hotel has alot restaurants 5. Hotel room is clean and wide 6. Has hair dryer, fridge and shampoos except toothbrush (pls bring own toothbrush) 7. Breakfast is perfect! Buffet style, everyday different dishes, we ate stir-fired pork, meat patty, omelette, buffalo wings, mushroom soups , fruits etc etc. We definitely not regret to buy the breakfast. Breakfast to buy on the spot 17,000w 8. Has swimming pool and rooftop bar with seongsan ilchubong view, able to see sunrise Cons: nighttime not much activities to do, no shopping place, most of restaurant was closed.

Great place to stay near Seongsan. 2 mins drive to Gwagchigi beach for Sunrise + Seongsan view. Great choice of stay for exploring east side of Jeju. Room is clean, bed is big, amenities is sufficient.

A bang for your buck hotel stay”

The hotel facilities were new and the hotel room looks as advertised on the website. Apparently, it is the newest hotel in Seongsan and certainly, it didn't fail my expectations. Fortunately, we were upgraded to a better room due to full occupancy of the room we've booked. Oh my god, the toilet has a proper bidet system and rain shower. Definitely will go stay again if we come back in the near future.

Value for money and good to have a rooftop pool”

This hotel is rated 4 star by Agoda but we found the room a bit narrow compared to other 4 star hotels in Jeju Island. Bed is comfortable to sleep on. Nice tiny balcony but not much view. Smell a bit mouldy in the wardrobe cuz no ventilation at all when door is closed. A lot of local restaurants near the hotel. A Daiso is just around the corner. Pretty good location.

Good, nice, clean and neat hotel near Seongsan Sunrise Peak”

Though the promotion image is VERY different from the reality, still it's not far from the beach (if you like walking). The nearest beach is Gwangjigi(광지기) and it's famous with the view of Seongsan Sunrise Peak with the rocky beach~ The room I stayed face towards the Sunrise Peak and I could even watch it without getting out from my room. There's actually an outdoor pool on the rooftop but it was close in winter~ I wish they operate the pool with hot water~ The view must be very Marvelous~ The breakfast just OK not VERY good, but Okay~ Wish they have more varieties of food. The location is very near to the bus stop, so you can get the express airport bus from and to the airport easily~

Good, clean hotel”

Room was clean and cozy. Hotel is relatively new. Toilet has a bidet, which is a plus, but do note that the shower cubicle is glazed towards the room (maybe be awkward for non-couples). Parking is limited within the building itself, therefore, you may be directed to the nearest lots and/or roadside when the lot is full. Location is very near Seongsan Ilchubong, but we did not get a room with that view.

Nifty hotel near sunrise peak”

Great location of hotel that is 5 min drive from the sunrise peak, which makes for an excellent pitstop when you are doing a Jeju self drive. The hotel is simple but clean. There is a great black pork BBQ place just across the road. Parking is very limited so guests who checked in late tend to park along the road or double park in the hotel car park.

Good Stay”

Pros: Location is good near 2 big attraction places.. seongsan ilcubong peak and seopjikoji.. near to uribong sikdang restaurant (by car or taxi) which recommended for muslim traveller. Cons: A bit difficult to find parking lot inside the hotel so we have to park outside. and no night market nearby.. but they have one small convenience store at the ground floor.

Room is clean but staff esp the fat manager wasnt professional ”

If u r hoping the staff could help direct you to which transport to take or directions in a friendly manner or at least smiling, then this is not the place to go. I asked for recommendations for eateries and attractions around the hotel and the manager told me to search online myself. Location wise, if you are planning to explore around seongsan beaches or ilchubong its great location. But to jeju city or to seogwipo city, drive is round 50 min and busses will take 1.5 hours to 2 hours. Honestly, if the staffs attitude was better then the hotel is really not bad.

Excellent location and value for money”

Got a room with the view facing Seongsan Ilchubong. The room was clean and all the basic amenities were provided. There are a few restaurants opposite the hotel and several convenience stores just around the corner. Highly recommended!

Good enough ”

It is near to Seongsan sunrise peak, just a few minutes drive away. A few nice restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Quiet neighbourhood to stay if you need a more relax or quiet area. Staff can understand basic English and helped us to order food delivery. Room was ok, small but sufficient for two, toilet bowl with bidet which is a plus point for Asian. Parking would be a problem if you come on a peak period, not many on site parking and you has to park beside the road.

Less service for tourist”

Stay for 2 nights. The location very near sunrise peak and folk village. But took more than 1.5 hours bus ride from city. The room quite clean, shower ok, but unfortunatelly the hotel doesn’t provide one or more day tour service (I don’t mind to pay). Please make sure you made a tour booking (east or west side) 2 days before you arrived in jeju, since a lot of tour agencies, required booking 2 days before. It’s a quite dissapointed us tough.

Best Place to stay in Jeju”

We loved our room, got an exceptionally low price for it. 5-10 mins drive to Seongsan Peak. The parking lot reserved for guest might not be available, but there are places nearby for parking so not an issue for us.

Location of hotel is nearby some bus station, it's easy to get to attractions, such as Seongsan Ilchulbong (城山日出峰) and Seopjikoji (涉地可支). Facilities are quite good, there are swimming pool on the rooftop of hotel, fitness center underground but not yet open and convenience store nearby the lobby. Room is tidy but bathroom is looks a bit old. Staff are very nice.

great hotel”

I love the room and in love with the toilet.lol. its a super cool toilet. location very near to seongsan ilchibong,about 2km. convenience store and bakery are in walking distance. one of the staff can speak fluent english,which is very helpful. they even can lend u korean plug/ charger if I don't have one.

Nice rooftop pool”

Good location in Seongsan area, few mins driving to reach ferry pier. Many local restaurants near the hotel. Great view on roof, the swimming pool with warm water.

We had a good time staying at Golden Tulip but we wish the front desk staffs would be more helpful. Only one of the front desk staff is able to speak English but he is not there all the time. It is a good location with a lot of attractions near by. There are also a few restaurants just in front of the hotel so that was convenience for us. The room does not have good air circulation so it is damp in the room, the bathroom is tight and did not smell the best. Overall I still it is a good value for our money.

Easy to find, really close to main attraction , seongsan ichilbong and seopjikoji. Clean and nice hotel. Room is excellent!

Good hotel, remote location..”

Stayed 2 nights from 3rd May. Staff are reasonably fluent in English. Facilities are adequate. Breakfast is also satisfactory. Only issue was that the air conditioning is not available in my room. Apparently its switched off during winter to spring. Had to open the balcony windows to cool the room. Another drawback is that because it is in Seongsan, which is at the eastern tip of Jeju, it is very much away from anything lively. So, evenings are pretty quiet affair and not much shops around. Upside is... I get Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak) right outside my balcony and only 5 minutes drive away!
