Good but not great”
My husband and I stayed at the Hang Neak hotel for one night because it's closer to the airport than downtown Phnom Penh. It was a pretty good value for the price, and a lot nicer than some overpriced places we stayed in outside of the city. The bed and covers were comfortable, but they could stand to buy new sheets and pillowcases. The shower was hot, and wasn't located right above the toilet, so that was a plus. The cable worked fine, and the mini fridge would've been great if we'd stayed there longer. It was already stocked with only slightly overpriced drinks. It didn't seem to be in the most central location, but tuk tuk rides are cheap and fun. All in all, I wouldn't stay there if I went to PP to do sight-seeing, but I would stay there for a night or two before a flight.

2 nights at Hang Neak Hotel, Phnom Penh”
Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Hang Neak Hotel in Phnom Penh. We immediately felt welcome at the hotel upon check-in and the staff was very attentive and everyone seemed to be taking care of us. The price included a modest breakfast on the rooftop terrace, from where we were able to see around the whole city, very nice views. All in all, I could recommend this hotel to people looking for a clean and friendly environment for a reasonable price. It is not located in the central tourist area, though, but the locals in the area were very helpful whenever we had problems finding something.

Pleasant stay at Hang Neak”
We stayed 2 weeks at the Hang Neak and really it has been a very pleasant stay. The restaurant serves good food at a good price, the staff speaks a good english and are really eager to help you. All in all we warmly recommend this place even though you might want to rent a motorbike or a bicycle to get arond Siem Reap.

Nice hotel in a dodgy area”
Hang Neak hotel is a decent quality hotel a few kms from the action in Phnom Penh. The view from the roof restaurant is nice but the food not so much. The reception staff are not that great but they try their best.

Interesting location for this Asian hotel”
this hotel was family friendly. we have four children ages 3-12 and obtained two rooms at this hotel. the furnishings were basic but the hotel was clean, service friendly, breakfasts fine (for westerners--food must be understood as cambodian equivalents/interpretations of a given dish). rooftop cafe was charming and a delight to our kids. a very large cambodian market, olympic market, is around the corner. dim sum, noodles, and khmer food all readily available nearby. this hotel is not in a tourist neighborhood, but it is right off of sihanouk blvd which provides a straight shot to tourist hot spots. this is an asian style hotel.

Good rooms but in a slightly inconvenient location”
we stayed there for 6 days in total but the hotel was nice to give us a 10% discount which was originally meant for stays which were longer than a week. the rooms were large and spacious. even with three single beds in a room, we each had our own space to place our backpacks and belongings. beds were made everyday, but sheets were not changed for the 6 days we were there. the toilet was clean and nice with hot water. we had no problems with the water pressure at all. breakfast menu was the exact same for all days. so much so that we were sick of the food after 3 mornings. but the food was nice, albeit a little oily. walls were very thin, and we could hear people entering and walking along the corridors.

Lovely hotel”
We were a three people group (me and a couple) just travelling around Asia. Found this hotel through TripAdvisor. The only "negative" comment would be, that the hotel isn't right in center of things, but it isn't expensive or hard to get a tuk-tuk to go to places (there was always one waiting infront of the hotel. Staff spoke excellent english, were helpful and eager to service. Rooms were clean, quiet and good beds. Would recommend.

average - not exceptional, not awful”
this hotel has such potential, however there are a few things that mar the experience and leave it sitting in the average category. the roof top bar and views were on of the selling features for me, and the view was awesome, along with the breeze away from the city streets, I really enjoyed watching the lightening shows in the evenings. however the bar provided a list of cocktails, none of which the staff could make. they also didn't stock tonic water. a little more staff training would makes this bar sensational, as besides their lack of skill they were very friendly. along with the lack of bar skills the staff in reception also provided the basics and not much more. having trouble connecting the internet in my room I had to keep going up and down from my room, each time being given one cable that may work to try. not until I refused to continue did the staff find someone to help. also there were no maps of the city for tourists or when asked suggestions of places to go. on reflection this has been what has made some of my great stays at places, some staff investment in you enjoying their city, at bare minimum a provision for you to get around. I have travel a lot in SE Asia (hotels and backpackers) and most places will got out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay, that just seemed to be lacking here. while I enjoyed my stay in Phnom Penh, it wasn't because of the services provided by the hotel, though the facilities were good.

Cheap, clean beds, dirty towels, cold water”
keep in mind that this hotel stay came out to be under for four days. for the price, it was fine and the service was good. but if we want to get specific, there were a couple of hiccups. first, we paid for a triple with three beds. we got two twin beds and a roll-away. after trying to contact the manager for two days, we finally haggled a small refund. so, no big deal. second, the water was cold for two days until we complained about it. then, it miraculously warmed up on the third day. the towels were a bit dirty, but only 2 out of 3 of us were bothered by it. we asked for new ones which they promptly brought to our rooms. there's hbo, strong ac, good wifi, decent breakfast and free bottles of water everyday. it was acceptable.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
The hotel is close to stadium and big shopping market. Lucky mall is also in a walking distance, but you will need a ride to the river side. The room was big and clean. The cable tv was good with about 80 channels. The internet connection was good for my PC computer. . The breakfast is good and you can have western or local dishes. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Good value hotel”
The hotel is basic but clean. Housekeeping needs sharpening, the shampoo bottle was empty and there was no soap in the room. The menu is limited in the restaurant, but the food was good and reasonably priced for a hotel. The cost to the airport is only slightly less than from the waterfront area, but the surroundings at the waterfront are far better. The Olympic market is very close and parking is a problem, this interferes with walking as the sidewalks are full of parked cars.

Tricky to find but nice room.”
From where we were dropped off at the bus station, it took some time to find the hotel. It's in an area that's being heavily constructed, and it's pretty far from the river. Other than that, it was an excellent place to stay with nice rooms and helpful staff. The breakfast was one of the best I've had in southeast Asia.

Good experience, but not perfect”
We got to this hotel after a horror story at a hostel - it felt like we were in the movie. It was a bit farther out than we expected (which proved interesting when catching a bus the next day), but it was okay. The wifi doesn't work in the rooms, unlike what the listing says (should say only public areas). To add to that, the wireless didn't have very good signal and was out of order in the restaurant. The rooms were clean and well appointed. They also charged us for a third person even though we wanted to share a double. I would try somewhere else next time I'm in Phnom Phen, but wouldn't say it was awful all around.
