Quiet area next to local community ”
Harmony Bungalow is located in M'pay Bei Village, which is on the northern part of Koh Rong Samloem. This is the quieter part of the island and within the local Cambodian community. There isn't a good swimming area so if you're looking to swim, you might be better off on other parts of the island. However, I did enjoy being amongst the local community and most of the restaurants here are locally-owned so I felt like my money was helping the locals. I chose this part of the island because I also wanted to take a short day trip to the neighboring island of Koh Rong and it's closer from M'Pay Bei. It is possible to stay on M'Pay Bei and pay a private boat for $25-35 to go to the other parts of the island or to Koh Rong. I really don't think there is a way to walk from M'Pay Bei to the other parts of the island. The owners of Harmony were great. The bungalow I stayed in was clean, had its own private bathroom, and each bed had mosquito nets. It is very rustic so it's easy for critters to get in, but I think most accommodations in the area are similar. The owners of the bungalows were very friendly and accommodating. They help us arrange a boat trip to Koh Rong when we asked. The complimentary breakfast (included in the Agoda rate) was better than what we expected: fried egg, scrambled egg, beans, bacon, ham, baguette with butter, and coffee.

Fantastic place to stay”
I stayed 5 nights at the Harmony Bungalows. The manager couldn't have done more to help me with my booking, and throughout my stay was so helpful and friendly. The bungalows are beautifully designed and presented, and the beds are so comfy. Excellent mosquito nets. Delicious breakfast. This is the perfect place to stay if you want to see Cambodia in its raw state, local children playing on the beach, fishing using limited resources, but don't leave it too long.

Inconvenient boat schedule to the hotel”
We booked and paid for the rooms, but could not stay there because of inconvenient boat schedule. We did collect information before the trip, but the actual boat schedule (even in peak season of New Year Holiday 2015) was not convenient, so our group had to leave Koh Rong Samloem island earlier, without staying at Harmony Bungalow. Be careful that Koh Rong Samloem has 2 main piers: Saracent Bay (the bigger) and M'Pai Bay (the smaller). Most of speed boats from Koh Rong island or Sihanouk Ville just arrive to Saracent Bay, and you have to wait until 16:00 to take the slow boat (~30 min) from Saracent Bay to M'Pai Bay, where Harmony Bungalow resides. Moreover, we did call to the hotel receptionist to check for return boat from M'Pai Bay to Sihanouk Ville in the following morning but they could not confirm if this boat schedule is possible or not. Finally, we decided to return Sihanouk Ville from Saracent Bay in the same day (without staying at the hotel). If you have connecting bus or flight from Sihanouk Ville, let's make sure that you can return from M'Pai Bay on time.

Best night sky in Cambodia”
I stayed here 2 nights in the beginning of Jan 15. The bungalows Its location is quite good, just 1-2 minutes from pier. Although the Agoda website shows that it's located in the sea, it's very easy to find it -- you just need to follow the trail. The bungalows are clean and new. Food is good and staff is superfriendly. In the evening you can sit and talk with the owners. They're Cambodian, contrary to most other bungalow owners, who are foreigners. I'd say it's the best place on the north part of the island to stay. The island There is couple of things I did not expect: - no electricity during the day (only after 6 pm) - it's impossible to walk to any other part of the island - no internet, even GPRS is superlow, you can hardly use WhatsApp The beach takes 5 minutes walking from bungalows. It's good, but small and lonely. You can also walk to visit the locals who live in this part of islands (they are friendly but nobody speaks English). You can take kayak and go kayaking + snorkeling: I think I liked it the most. And finally, I've never seen this starry sky -- not in Sihanoukville, not on the other parts of islands. It's very special, and the best place to look skywards is, of course, the pier. Transportation There's speed boat which goes to Saracen Bay around 9:30-10:00 in the morning. And you can come back at 15:30 by normal boat. One-way trip costs $5, to be paid aboard. The Saracen beach is way better, and you can walk from there to the Lazy beach (which is also very good) and to the Lighthouse (climb to the up!). But: there's nothing to do in the evening and the food is poor and more expensive.

Amazing place to relax on the beach”
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Harmony is right on the beach in Mapai Bay with a beautiful sunrise and snorkelling. It's not far to walk if you want to see bioluminescent plankton and the restaurant serves a delicious range of food. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in a relaxed atmosphere and chilled vibe.

Great bungalow with amazing staff”
Turned up with a broken toe (no, not a motorcycle accident 🙄); the double room was inappropriate for me, so they moved me no hassle and looked after me big time! Thanks guys! 24 hour electricity, and it’s a bungalow, you’re going to get mozzies and cold showers and stuff, anyone that expects more should stay in Sihanoukville 😂. By warned though, the double room is advertised as 24m sq; it’s more like 10! My only negative

The bungalows are located in m'pay bay about 20 minutes with taxiboat from saracen bay. The staff is super friendly and helpfull. Food is nice and it was the biggest portions I've had i kambodja. Calm and peacefull suroundings. I would recomend it!

I'm being a little harsh on the over-bookers”
I was a little disappointed in being pushed to the back of the woods, which was not really a part of the hotel. They simply over book and spread the guest to other hotels, so I can not review their actual rooms. To be fair they did give us some of our money back, but we book for a reason so we have expectations. The place for hanging and eating is a great place to meet people and we met some great people. The staff were always on-hand to help you. Be aware that lights go out around 10:30pm and does not exist in the daytime.

Danger!”
I been traveling around a World for many years, but never ever I expirienced such a rude, disgusting, unacceptable "hospitality". First of all after arriving to the hotel I been informed that my bungalow, wich been booked and paid one month ago is given to somebody else, and hotel simply have no room for me if I don't want to live in their dorm, the stuff-guy ask me to spend one night in another hotel, and on the next night I can move in my bungalow, however when I said that he should in this case refund me money for this night he smile and say "no money no bungalow", on my ask to provide me phone to call booking agency he sayd "I forgot the number", moreover he find a bungalow for me in another hotel which been way more simple and cheap than I booked at Harmony Bungalow, when I say my thoughts about this, he answer "no like go sleep on the beach"... While long and rude conversation, he tried to fight!!! with me! Finally I find the way to call the Agoda, only after this he apologise and return me money for first night stay, however he didn't place me in my booked bungalow in that night and coldn't find anything better than cheap room near dump. My New Year night was ruined by this hotel stuff. Beside this as a hotel Harmony Bungalow also far beyound even "good", the rooms are dirty, no any service, when I step in my bungalow I find dirty toilet with remains of previous guests staying. I'm not suggest this place for anyone, and honestly don't think it should stay in Agoda's search any longer.

We use fast boat to go to koh rong samloem Island, but we can not get this bungalow because it's located in another side of island and hard to find boat to go there. We must hire another bungalow with 30$/night and lose booking money for Harmony Bungalow.

The Bungalow are pretty new and ok if you compare it with the other places there, but if you booked online be careful, it seems like you booked a bungalow, but when you arrive it's just a room! :( you need to pay 15 bucks more! That's maybe not the fault of the people, but still not very smart...

It's dirty and especially very very noisy there. The staff is bored and Not really helpful. Very close there are lot more better places to stay. Rooms are available everywhere without Problems. So no need to prebook.

Alles bestens! ”
Nicht mehr und nicht weniger als erwartet, reicht völlig aus, wenn man nicht viele Ansprüche hat. Auf der Insel kann man nicht mehr als ein Bungalow mit Ventilator und Mückennetz erwarten, wer hohe Ansprüche (5* Hotel) ist hier definitiv falsch! Es gibt fließend Wasser, eine Toilette, geflickte Moskitonetze und ein bequemes Bett. Die Sauberkeit war vollkommen in Ordnung. Wir wurden auch kaum von Moskitos angegriffen. Für Backpacker mit low Budget absolut zu empfehlen! Das Fischerdorf ist klein und gemütlich, man kann zum Strand laufen.

ein schöner Aufenthalt auf der Insel”
Auf der Insel angekommen war es einfach die Harmonie Bungalows zu finden.Ich wurde sehr freunlich empfangen und es war alles vorbereitet.Die Bungalows liegen ruhig in einem kleinen Garten und man kann sehr gut relaxen.Die Betten sind sauber und mit einem Moskitonetz versehen.Strom und Wifi gibt es von 7.00 Uhr morgens bis Mitternacht. Die kambotschanische Familie die diesen Resort betreibt ist unglaublich freundlich und herzlich.Ich wurde zum Essen und feiern eingeladen und habe die Menschen in mein Herz geschlossen.
