Where to stay in Hoan Kiem District
Hoan Kiem District hotels & accommodations

Far exceeding my expectation! I stayed 5 days in a clean and convenient room. There is a lovely open space all the way to the glass roof that allows sun lights to fill the hallways. I was greeted at the marticulous lobby filled with comfortable tables and chairs that accommodate many relaxed guests and business groups alike. The swimming pool on rooftop is just as roma...

Whenever I visit Hanoi for business, I tend to stay Melia. This is one of better known and established hotels located in the central district, convenient location. Hoan Kiem lake is within a walking distance. Every feature of this hotel is above standard, though not the top level. While there are a few other hotel options in the Hanoi central district, Melia offers the...

During my stay in Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi Hotel, i was greatly impressed by the great art design of this luxury hotel located at the central of Hanoi Hoan Kiem District. The room is perfectly clean, staffs are nice and friendly, foods are marvellous, environment is greatly comfortable. It is worth to stay for few day trip in this hotel although it will be a litt...

Super clean, smells good and has a good vibe. The staff is very courteous and helped with whatever we needed. While the decor is pretty outdated, the hotel feels new. The room is big enough and comfortable. Please note that if you order a double bed - they just put the twin ones next to each other, which blocks access to all lightening switches and makes the reading li...

really nice boutique hotel within easy walking distance of the old quarter, hoan kiem lake and the french quarter. the rooms are comfortable, well equipped and tastefully decorated. even though we had a deluxe double and not a suite, it was plenty spacious enough. we had previously stayed at the sister hotel, the elegance ruby, which we thought was the best in hanoi...

2bedroom apartment was nice, and modern with flat screen tv in lounge and master bedroom. there was a stereo in lounge so we could just stick our ipod on. we went to overnight halong bay cruise after 2nights staying. then when we checked in back after halong bay cruise we got upgraded to much spacious 3bedroom apartment. lots of spaces to hang around. there was a s...

The staff really try their best to make you feel welcomed and comfortable! No task was to small or difficult for them to try and assist with. We stayed for two weeks which I think is longer then most passing through the hotel and the staff made us feel like we had lived there forever remembering our names and what we liked asking about trips we had done and what we got...

Situated in hoan Kiem Lake Dist., this hotel provides convenience for those who want to walk to the lake and old st. We only stayed one night during new year eve, and we enjoyed both the proximity to NYE party and quietness of the room. Service staff wasn’t very enthusiastic but def. did their job professionally. Room space was clean and enough for 2. Breakfast choice...

Bonsella is a gem! The locations so close to Hoan Kiem Lake, so very much in the center of the city. And the best part of the location is that cars are blocked from the street right across the hotel, so no need to worry about crossing the streets when walking to and from the hotel. (When in Hanoi, this is a huge relief) Despite being a new hotel, everyone is so profes...

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the silk path. the hotel is in a great location - close to the old quarter and the hoan kiem lake district and many tourist attractions. it is well furnished and decorated throughout, has good restaurants and their staff are very attentive and well trained - easily the best of the four hotels we stayed at in our 14 days in vietnam.

My septuagenarian parents and I went to Vietnam for the first time and we stayed at the Hanoi Brilliant Hotel for 4 nights. AS TO LOCATION, the Hanoi Brilliant is perfect being close to many restaurants, street diners, and shops. A bank with good rates is just 20 meters away. Hoan Kiem Lake is a short leisurely wallk from the hotel. AS TO THE HOTEL FACILITIES, both t...

The room is quite spacious, very clean, stylish modern decor & very comfortable bed & pillows! Hotel staff are quite helpful & friendly. Although a bit far from the Hoan Kiem Lake district, hotel surrounding is quite peaceful & many good restaurants nearby. No complaints at all.

Everything is excellent here. Grand Cititel Hanoi Hotel is located within Old Quarter area, convenience store (Circle K) is just at corner of the street & about 10-15 mins walk to Hoan Kiem Lake. Hotel staffs are all friendly & helpful especially the female receptionist who checked me in. Appreciate for the complimentary cocktails they offered to celebrate anniversary ...

This is a great hotel in an excellent location. We stayed here for 1 night in November. I booked 2 rooms in advance (tip - book ahead because they seem to book out quickly). When we arrived we were greated by the Hotel staff who were very friendly and spoke very good English (which was an added bonus for us). The staff told us that we had been upgraded, which was a rea...

After a slew of bad hotels, my sister and I were so relieved to finally get to a beautiful hotel, perfectly situated in the old quarter of Hanoi. It's not the cheapest, but it's still a good value for your money. We got to the hotel a bit early before our check in, but the lobby held our luggage while we walked around the busy neighborhood. The twin room we had was cle...

Our Hanoi honeymoon was excellence and couldn't be better without the help of Meracus Hotel 2. As part of our last-minute honeymoon on 1 March, my wife and I was almost late in trying to secure a night before our flight. Meracus 2 helped us reserved a night and kept us in communication (with address/advisory) even before our departure. The amazing experience right wh...

We stayed at Thang Long for recent Hanoi Heritage Marathon. The hotel is just minutes away from the event. The hotel is strategically located in the legendary Old Quarter (Hoan Kiem district) . The were hive of activities near the lake during the weekend. All within walking distance from the hotel. The staffs were very friendly & helpful. And, the breakfast was very go...

Hotel located very near the Hoan Kiem lake and to center of old quarter, less than 1 min walking distance to Sapa Express (Bus to Sapa). Need some searching though because the hotel is nestled between other blocks and at first hard to locate. From the start when we book through Agoda the sales personnel has been extremely helpful and responsive to our million inquiries...

Wonderful experience at the Hai Bay hotel! The location is super convenient, right in the heart of Old Quarter. If you stay at this hotel, I would recommend you try the BlackBird Coffee which is right in the back alley (Chan Cam) of the hotel. The hotel is also close to the St. Joseph Cathedral and Ho Hoan Kiem, must-see spots. The staff are super polite and frien...

We stayed here in the lead up to Tet and it was a very quiet hotel. Spacious rooms and extremely comfortable bed. A bit dated but tastefully decorated. It's in a quieter location if you want to get out of the busy ness of the Old Quarter yet a reasonable walking distance around the lake to any action. If you say the Hilton is located at the bottom of Hoan Kiem Lake th...

It was a gorgeous hotel located in this lovely old quarter, walking distance to the Hoan Kiem Lake. My friend and I stayed there 3 nights. Our room, which was a superior room, at level 1, was cleaned and cosy. We loved the room interior - a fusion of industrial and chic style. If we were to nitpick, that would be not having a shampoo holder at the bathroom shower and a...

We just finished our stay at the Meracus and were impressed by the high quality of service that was offered there. The staff are professional, friendly, speak excellent english and make your holiday a breeze! The hotel is decorated in neo-classical style and features comfortable beds, fancy showers and a delicious buffet breakfast. It is right in the centre of the Ol...

We booked a Family Suite. Room was spacious for us 3 travellers, it was ready when we arrived from an early morning flight. Location (Cathedral District, Old Quarter) is topnotch, walking distance to St. Joseph's Cathedral, Night Market, Hoan Kiem Lake with numerous shops around. It is in a rather quiet street, with relatively less traffic (it was easy to book a GrabCa...

We stayed for 3 nights here and it was absolutely amazing. Pros : - located in old quarter area. A lot of good food, mini mart and souvenir shop nearby. Really close to Hoan Kiem Lake. - all the staffs are really helpful and friendly. They even give you a map that show the tourist attraction, good food nearby. - breakfast was superb - room was spacious Cons : - sinc...

We booked 2 nights at Splendid Holiday Hotel . Up arrival, we booked the short package 4 days 3 nights as Hanoi Foods tours , Ha Long bay 2 days 1 night on deluxe Swan cruise + airport transportation that all was excellent and great value. Our rooms was very new, modern, clean, great facilities and nice view, great raining shower and comfortable bed. The hotel locatio...

We were the first Guests whom stayed at Hanoi Bella Rosa Hotel which is really new brand opening but all in all are more than above expectation . The room was large and spacy with luxuries facilities and really comfort, the breakfast served on the top of the hotel where you can overlook down to the Hoan Kiem Lake and city view with unlimitted of the ordered. The staff...

All the reviews for this hotel are genuine and I'm could vouch for that. Before arrival, Ms Apple will normally sent message to your inbox to enquire the arrangements on the stay. So please don't be afraid to ask for the airport transfer service as the hotel has this service. The price I'm paid for the service was well worth as the guy was actually waited for me at the...
Cheap places to stay in Hoan Kiem District

The dorm and all other facilities were clean and the staff was pretty helpful, friendly and welcoming. There was a breakfast buffet included in the price with fried egg, toast, noodles or fried rice but also some veggies as well as watermelon and banana. There was water, tea and coffee with fresh milk for serving. It is great. There is a lot of space for sitting, relax...

The hostel has a good location in Hoan Kiem district not far from the lake, in a nice cosy street. The beds are good. A large space between the mattress and the wall allows to put some personal belongins. There are big lockers under the beds. The negative point is the bathroom. Doesn't correspond to the pictures. The sink is not in the bathroom. And there is a heavy p...

We enjoyed several nights in this well-appointed hotel in the heart of the Hoan Kiem district. The location is excellent for visiting many top sights in the city. Our deluxe, city-view room felt quite luxurious for the price point. It is very well appointed and includes many luxuries typically found at more expensive hotels (e.g. robes and slippers). The comp...

Location - About 20-min walk from Hoan Kiem Lake. Many diners and streetfoods available within the neighborhood. Ambiance - Perfect for solo travelers who don't want a party hostel. It's quiet and everybody seems to mind their own business. Staff - Friendly and professional. Knowledgeable. Polite. Helpful in everything that I needed--from taxi to places of interest...

Capsule Hostel Nice and friendly front desk ladies who help me with all my queries and help me with bookings. The hostel is very near to many attraction and food choice around. There are also convenient store around. This is one of the few place that you can have curtain for your dorm bed. The shower is ok with hot water. The breakfast is tasty.

The location is just 500 meters from shuttle bus terminal to the airport. It's also easy to go to the Hoan Kiem Lake. The old quarter is approximately 1 km from the property. They also provide good breakfast, bread with jams and milk, cofee, and tea.

Choosing accommodation in Vietnam is usually a shot in the dark, very hit or miss; I got lucky this time around with Artisan Lakeview. The hotel is very basic but it works. The rooms are well lit, have mini refrigerators, televisions, comfortable beds and good bathrooms. Opposing the hotel is their cafe restaurant that has a variety of drink and meal options. While no...

it is located at the center of the hoan kiem district, where most tourist spots are (within walking distance). being located at the alley means less noise pollution from the streets (note that vietnamese drivers enjoy honking!) there is a good choice of home-cooked breakfast available and good hospitality from the hotel staffs. laundry service is available and they als...

We travelled as a family, parents (60 year-old) and 2 young adults. We arrived at the hotel 10.30am local time. The receptionist Miss An, was indeed very kind and thoughtful. She arranged an early check-in for us without additional charges, and my elderly parents had got a room at Level 1 (no elevator in the hotel). Complimentary coffee, tea, lime juice, and fruits wer...

The hotel was very clean, welcoming and new. we slept really well and was able to eat a decent breakfast with coffee in the morning. The staff were super friendly and were very helpful with advice on local sights, where to eat local food (which is amazing) and the best tours. We booked the Cosy Ha Long Bay cruise through the hotel and the communication, value and info...

- Graceful Hotel allocate at old quarter where you can reach the tourist spot (Hoan Kiem Lake, night market, beer street), convenience store, restaurant by walking distances. The Hotel is new, safe and they did serve quality breakfast. - The hotel staff is excellent , very friendly, warm and helpful, they did prepare the breakfast for us after know that we will departu...

We booked in for four nights but stayed for 11, we loved Hanoi and this hotel felt like our home while we were there. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, giving great advice about places to go, sharing a drink of cool tea with us and arranging our taxi to the train station when we left (thanks for that!). The rooms are made up every day and kept well stocke...

The reviews for this hotel were very high, but also were very few and recent (only 13 at the time, all from the past month). This seemed to indicate that it was a new hotel. Looking for something clean and simple in that area, we took a chance on it. We got a special last minute rate through Agoda for about $40USD/night for a "Honeymoon Suite". It wasn't really a s...

Fantastic hotel to stay in Hanoi. Location is superb and staffs are extremely friendly. Location of hotel is within walking distance to Xoi yen, Giang coffee, Bun Cha ta, Hoan Kiem lake and Trang Tien plaza etc. Staffs are super friendly and helpful. This was a great find. An amazing hotel and excellent value for money. The staff were all so friendly they speak very good english and just could not do enough for us. The hotel is perfectly located within the vibrant old quarter area and close to the lovely Hoan Kiem lake. We booked a deluxe room which was a good size very comfortable with a king size bed and with al...

We had a room on the 3d étage with "city"view. As it is located in a very small street (which a positive point as there is also less noise by night) the city view is more a view on the building in front (very close) and some random roof. The bedroom was nice, though there was some small ants. The bathroom was clean enough for our taste. The hotel is really well located...

We stayed here for 4nights. The location is unbeatable it is 1min distance from Hoan Kiem Lake. We stayed in the Family room so the view was amazing and everything was really clean. Also, the breakfast was very delicious too. Besides, all hotel staff were extremely kind and always tried to help us during our stay. If I come back to Hanoi, I would definitely stay he...

All the points of interest are within will distance, the wifi is fast and the water hot. The staff is friendly and will do its very best to help you and the price is more than decent. Only negative points is that my room was at the back without a window so I had only artificial light and that the shower was a bit small for me. Othed than that everything was great.

Amorita's staff puts even the service of five star hotels to shame. Always with a smile, the staff at Amorita was absolutely amazing, and responded to all my issues, questions and concerns with a smile. It's a hotel right in the middle of the old Quarter, and just about a 3 to 5 minute walk from the beautiful Hoan Kiem lake. Can recommend the hotel without any hesitat...

I stay there a couple times and the staff was incredibly friendly. The location is also perfect - just a couple block from Hoan Kiem lake, but on a quiet street. Comfortable bed, nice shower, friendly host. In my varies stays in Hanoi I have stayed at nicer places but I think Heart Hotel is the best value for the price!

This hotel is decent and great for a leisure travelers like us. Some of the famous tourist spots like the Hoan Kiem Lake, St. Joseph Cathedral, Water Puppet Show Theatre, Puku Bar and Coffee, Night Markets, Street Food, Souvenirs Shopping, Train Station, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Temple of Literature Quoc Tu Giam. Some of the high-end shopping malls are just around th...

There is not good about this hotel. I booked a family room and it was terrible.... 1. The A/C does not function properly. It was extremely hot in Hanoi, the day I stayed in this hotel and the A/C was not making the room cool enough. My kid could not sleep because it was too hot in the room. Luckily it rained that night, so things got stable. 2. THERE IS NOT BREAKFAST...

hanoi home hotel this is hard for us to objectively review and our budget has risen slightly. 2 years ago had a great stay but finished badly with an incident with the receptionist over money. this was resolved with the owner sending us an email to apologise. therefore we returned recently. still a good room (perhaps a little noisy), good position, good amenities...

It is not the first time I am staying in this hotel So It is a good sign I came back I like it because centrally located close to the center, Ho Hoan Kiem lake and other attractions. It is located in a small street with very few traffic that is rare in Hanoi. I also like it because rooms are cosy, comfortable, clean and nice. breakfast is also good. Still a liitle...

I agree why all visitors leave a good reputation. The location of the hotel and the kindness of the staff were basic, and the breakfast was good during the stay. I have been malfunction of card lock device, so I used a key open and closed. However, hotel made a small gift for my inconvenient and discount some charges. Also it is not well known, it is very easy to us...

We enjoyed our stay in Hanoi and one reason for this is Authentic Hanoi Hotel. it is a new hotel in Ly Than Thong St. which is about three blocks away from Hoan Kiem Lake and the shopping areas. Beautiful rooms and very friendly staff Very friendly and helpful staff, nice bed and delicious breakfast! The welcome was great, the doors were kept open for us and were greeted very friendly. Nice bed and delicious breakfast. is centrally located, just a 3-minute walk and you are at the famous Hoan Kiem lake. From Hanoi we are two days with the night train to Sapa. ...

I hardly write reviews but decided to do so as this is my first time staying in this hotel and am very impressed with the value paid. Well appointed rooms, working WIFI, very decent B'fast and fantastic location to find food and explore the Hoan Kiem Lake area .

Silk Path Boutique is delightful!! I can't say enough good things about this retreat found directly facing the Hoan Kiem Lake!! Starting the moment we stepped out of our taxi with the beaming smiles of the bellboys and concierge, we were made to feel as if we had returned home. We were pleasantly surprised when given a room upgrade with the compliments of the hotel!!...

I was pleasantly surprised to find such a high quality of service at Hanoi E Central Hotel. The location was excellent - just 5 minutes walk from the airport bus drop off and 5 minutes to Hoan Kiem Lake and the 36 Streets of the Old Quarter. Lots of interesting cafes around the hotel too. The hotel helped to store my luggage which I went for day trips to Halong Bay an...

i have wanted to book a more expensive 4 star hotel. but looking back i’m glad i didn’t. this is a really nice boutique hotel. so much cheaper and money well spent. the staff is very helpful and always smiling. the room size is adequate. bathroom toiletries are provided except shaving kit. so don’t forget to bring your own. and i don’t hear any street noise others a...

Very centered location - near to hoan kiem lake, 1 block away from St. Joseph's Cathedral and 1 block away from Hang Gai St. Too many restaurants surrounds the hotel, but it has a restaurant and coffee shop that serves good food. Neighborhood very quiet and safe. Bed is soft and comfortable. Room is spacious. Amenities very good. New hotel but with high standards ...

We stayed at Hanoi Babylon Garden Hotel for 3 nights. All staff is really kind and helpful, you can get a lot of good advice from them, where to go, what to do. Location is great, very close to Hoan Kiem Lake. While we stayed there, the road around the lake was closed and it was really crowded with local people - really interesting. The hotel is also very close to the ...

Overall, we are satisfied with our 2 nights stay at Dal Vostro. Next visit to Hanoi, we will try the Dal Vostro Suite! The room is quite small (deluxe), but we chose deluxe with balcony so it gives bigger room impression. Great Location 1. 2 exclusive bars just in front of the hotel, yet not noisy at all 2. 3 min walk to Hoan Kiem Lake, the famous boulevard, starbuc...

I booked this serviced apartment for my stay in Hanoi for a week as I wanted some more space and privacy. Actually I had booked a studio, but the management gave me a free update to a one-bedroom apartment, which was a nice surprise. It is not the cheapest place in town, but what you get is worth the expense: a daily serviced spacious and tastefully furnished apartment...

Pros: A few steps away from Obama Bun Cha. The studio is cute. There is a guidebook with helpful restaurant recommendations, things to do, convenience stores nearby, etc. The host responds within a timely manner. Cons: The studio is located on a very busy street which is a good and bad thing. You have restaurants nearby but there is a lot of traffic. People love honk...

It was a wonderful place that was as described. A home away from home. It was close to the central of Hanoi but still quaint and cosy and really nice. You can basically walk to any good places in the centre. Moreover the hosts were really nice hosts who communicate effectively and had a lot of local reccomendations which made my trip better! Kitchen was also equipped ...

Very nice apartment as shown in photos on this page. It was clean and well kept, with towels supplied. Air con works very well (you need it in Hanoi!). There’s a great pho place just down the road, it is a 10-15minute walk to the main attractions and old quarter, but this is great as it’s a bit more peaceful at night! Overall I would highly recommend.
