"Was here for 4 days over New Year and thanks to the amazing Rep Casson we had a blast each night, couldn't reccomened mad monkey more if you like being social and meeting new people! The trips by the hostel were also great, a great walking tour on our first day showed us around Phnom Penh and the killing Fields / S21 tour is definitely worth doing. Would definitely stay at Mad Monkey again in Phnom Penh"

"Moved here after a previous hostel in Phnom Penh was dirty and had rude staff and it was so worth the extra $2. The staff are so nice and the food is delicious. The social atmosphere down stairs is great and the rooms are really well air conditioned and if your in a dorm it pretty much feels like you have your own rooms because the bunks are like booths. There was also a pub trivia night which was a lot of fun. Honestly can’t think of any negatives. "

"It was an easy option choosing Onederz in Phnom Penh after previously staying at their other property on Koh Rong Sanloem with a great experience. The hostel is clean, comfy and centrally located. The dorm room beds have their own individual power sockets and lights and there is space in the room. It was walking distance from my van ride to the hostel as well as the sights, bars and restaurants. Chilled out vibe at the hostel with good areas for socialising."

"My stay at The Local was simply fantastic, and I couldn't recommend the place more. Under new management since June 2013, Mikah and Tom are pulling out all the shots to make this a one-stop shop for all your needs in Phnom Penh. Right in the centre of the riverside, this hotel is excellently located yet somehow still manages to be in a quiet spot - perfect for nursing your jet-lag! Tom and Mikah were excellent hosts and did everything to make our stay more comfortable. When they heard that my girlfriend and I hadn't seen each other for months they upgraded our room to the penthouse suite for no extra charge, giving us loads of extra room and even a rooftop terrace to ourselves. The penthouse was gorgeous, very very clean, safe and secure and was completely private - in a word, it was perfect. The Local is in the heart of the riverside, which means almost all the main attractions are either walking distance, or 5 mins by tuk tuk. There are loads of great bars and restaurants nearby, with the owners making some good recommendations during our stay. There's even a Khmer market at the end of the road if you want an authentic Cambodian breakfast of your own! We had a great time at the local and also enjoyed supping cold ones with Tom and Mikah trading stories and hanging out. This is a great hotel and I can't wait to stay again. "Type: Dorm Good: Everything!! The bed is comfortable, the room is cold, the hotel is near to most of the place, the wifi is strong. Bad: Dustbin is not provide throughout the hotel "

"staff not nice they not welcome when i arrival there and show booking look like they never see Agoda booking before ....after check in the owner ask us to use hotel tuk tuk but we deny and told them we already have tuk tuk to look around she look grumpy..we bought hotel bus ticket to Siemreap from her and she said the bus will pick us up at hotel but when we ready to go to bus station she disappear and didt tell another staff that we have to to go bus station and we have to hide tuk tuk to bus station ...so we will never back to this GH again .."

"This cozy villa is great for couples or small groups of friends who want to relax and enjoy Phnom Penh. I wouldn't recommend it for young children. The area it's located in is perfect, walking distance to bars and restaurants located around the Central Market district. My only complaint is the lady who speaks English is only there in the morning and in the afternoon, there's a different lady who doesn't speak any English at all. It was rather difficult trying to communicate with her. But otherwise, I would recommend this property. "

"We booked a Double Deluxe Room, on the pictures there were windows but when we got there he gave us a no window room saying "you booked a no window room". Excuse me we didn't. No where on their Agoda booking page does it say "No window" - otherwise I'd not have chosen that room on the third floor with no elevator! On the third floor it gets really hot too. Inside the room it smelled really really badly of smoke and lasted the whole day. Only when we turned the loud ventilator on, did it subside a little. During the evening there were several blackouts but that's not their fault. The WiFi was terrible, the first 1-2 days we had no reception at all even from our Simcard! Only on the last 1-2 days we had WiFi. All in all we wouldn't recommend staying here and wouldn't come back. The staff tried their best though and the room was quite clean. "

"I booked this hotel in time I cancel the booking at others. It is my lucky because I can stay there and my trip was best ever. The owner and her friends, I guessed, were very kind and friendly. They found the good restaurants for both my dinner and my breakfast which were very valuable. Moreover, they gave me many advice to save money: take an eye in my wallet and my phone, should book tuk tuk via Passapp (an app like Grab or Uber),....thanks you a ton, my friends, who made my family feel very pleasant, comfortable and be a queen in your hostel. "
