All that surrounds you is the sea and the wind, and you can truly experience its intensity. The hot spring is small, but it features a mild chloride spring, facing the Pacific Ocean, and there is also an open-air bath. The dinner in the evening was particularly good, and the sashimi was excellent! The room was small, but since it was just for sleeping, it wasn't a problem. However, as mentioned at the beginning, there is nothing to block the sound, so the noise of the wind is quite intense. If you are sensitive to noise, you might not be able to sleep. If you can overlook this point, it has the best location.
You have to call Wando Taxi up to 1 week in advance if coming by public transport. There are 2 choices, either from Shin-Aomori Station (further but more trains stop there), or Okutsugaru-Imabetsu Station (nearer but less trains stop there). The fare is ¥500, but I used my JR East-South Hokkaido Rail Pass for a discount, and it became ¥300. IC card is accepted for payment. There is a shuttle bus that will soon retire at the time of writing this review. Same thing, you have to call the hotel up to 1 week in advance to arrange transportation. All the sightseeing spots nearby are within walking distance and I suggest visiting there in July where the hydrangeas are in full bloom.
Luxurious meals, abundant amenities, splendid rice bowls. His Majesty the Emperor also visited. In the midst of winter, all surrounding facilities are closed. Only the winter scenery of the Tsugaru Strait is played.
This is a hotel located at the northernmost point of Aomori in a village at the end of the land. It is difficult for foreign travelers to access without a shuttle bus, but they do operate a shuttle bus. It takes 1 hour and 40 minutes to travel by shuttle bus from Aomori Station, but the journey is not boring at all, and the coastal scenery is excellent. The hotel provides detailed explanations on how to use the facilities to each guest, and the rooms are neat and tidy without any clutter. Both dinner and breakfast are included, and the meals offered are very good for the price. The view outside the hotel is nice for a stroll, and there is a small but sufficient hot spring available. If you go to Aomori, I strongly recommend taking a day to stay here.
