I am an American who lives a pretty good life in the Philippines, used to nice hotels and great food. I read many reviews about the Bayview Park Hotel, many of which were negative left by foreigners. I am going to attempt to set the record straight from a foreigners perspective. 1. If you are thinking that the Bayview is a 5 star hotel, expecting a 5 star experience, then you are going to be severely disappointed. 2. If you are expecting a very nice hotel for $50 a night with everything you need, then you will be very happy. Lies and Rumors: 1. #706 on the Superior Room Rate without Breakfast. 2. The Staff are wonderful. The people who said that they were rude must not have grumpy because they were extremely nice to us and everyone else. 3. The Hotel does NOT smell, it smell just fine. 4. The rooms are NOT small, they are very large. 5. The bed was a little hard but not too hard. Nice bed. 6. Additional comforters and pillow are available on request for free. 7. The rooms are older but newly updated. They have a fridge, a nice bed, newly painted walls, a really nice bathroom and everything you can want. 8. The AIRCON / Air works GREAT. We had to turn it down because it was so powerful. 9. The location is perfect. We were going to the embassy which is literally steps away from the hotel, but it is also central to everything. 10. Starbucks is in the same building. 11. Chowking, 7/11 and Yellow Cab are about 75 steps away 12. WIFI is available in more expensive rooms but ours was turned on for free. Typically 350 per day. 13. Breakfast was not included in our room because we got the $60 after taxes rate but typically 450 per person in the morning. It seems like a bit steep for the selection so I would NOT get the breakfast package.

The staff's quality of service is like that of a 5-star hotel. All of them are very accomodating and very kind to requests. The room is okay. The breakfast is ala carte but the taste is good/satisfactory. I was a solo traveler and my room has 2 breakfast, I was offered to take the 2 or take the other meal as lunch which was favorable for me. There was no complimentary bottled water in the room, however they offer service water that can be taken to your room. The hotel's location is very near robinson's mall. Overall, it was worth it.

Ermital is a weird place. It feels like a local neighborhood, and is obviously very poor. There is some modern development consisting of condos and the Robinsons shopping mall complex. Due to it's location near Manila's tourist attractions, Ermita has many budget guesthouses. These guesthouses are cheap, but they are not nice. They are small, old, and dirty. If you have a little more to spend, the new Red Planet is a clean, modern refuge in the weirdness of Ermita. The room is small, but that's to be expected in Manila. Despite the small size, the room is sparking clean and modern, and has a huge bed. The AC is strong. The bathroom has a shower stall. The staff is helpful and booked a taxi to the airport for me. Negatives are that due to the small size, there are not many surfaces to put your stuff on. There are no hand towels in the bathroom. And the AC is surprisingly bright, and illuminates the otherwise dark room at night. Despite the minor negatives, I had a nice stay at Red Pl

the location is great, 2 minutes walk from mcdonalds, shakey's pizza, robinson mall.... wifi was relatively slow but they have multiple networks to choose from. breakfast is very limited in selection but taste is adequate. i suggest eating out there's tons of restaurants nearby. room was very clean and they went out of their way to take care of my needs such as finding me a hair drier for gf etc although there were no fridges available my entire stay. i strongly suggest going to cowboy bar and grill 5 minutes away for live bands and decently priced pitchers of beer, went there with my gf and had a good time. theres one on top of shakey's and a bigger one nearby i forget the address. the staff is very friendly and attentive and i can see why so many foreigners as myself go there. a good 25% of the clientele were foreigners.

the hotel is strategically located in the busy city of manila. if you want value for your money with just the right room amenities then this hotel will be up for it. what i like about my room was that it was clean, the toilet and baths have hot and cold shower too. the best thing about this hotel is that they provide free wifi access which helps me check my facebook, news, and reservations/bookings that i have made online. i can confidently recommend this hotel to my friends, families, and basically to everyone.

I booked my parents in this hotel because we used to book our stay here way back from 2000 - 2006. It's been a while and they asked me to book in this hotel again. I was a bit sketchy about it and not sure of the place because we don't know how it has been. I read reviews and some people loved the service but still, I wasn't feeling comfortable risking the stay of my parents as they just had a bad experience a while ago to another hotel. I took the risk and booked here. I requested a quiet room for my elderly parents. Fortunately, they were happy with their stay. The room that was given to them was fairly new. Very clean, spacious, and quiet room. Service was great too. Mom and Dad was really happy and comfortable. They said to book here next time again and that's the only thing I wanted to hear from them. We decided to stay at this hotel because of its excellent reviews and its affordable rates. Although the hotel is small just 6 floors, the rooms we stayed in are very spacious. Big king bed, big bathroom, big windows! Although they dont have swimming pool, they have big bath tub. My son didnt want to leave the tub and my mom also enjoyed her beauty dip. The location is the best, just across roxas blvd is the museong pambata. walk towards the quirino grand stand and you'll be in manila ocean park. Across the kalaw st is the Luneta Park starting at Rizal monument. Then few minutes walk going to the national museums. Fastfood and restaurants are near the hotel and you wont have problem looking for a place to eat. The staff are friendly, acccommodating, and curteous. They let us leave our baggages since we arrived early and they allowed us to check out late. They also gave us two adjacent rooms as requested. As mentioned, the rates are very affordable. We booked 2 rooms here at Luneta Hotel at a price of 1 room in other hotels. Overall, the experience is really nice and relaxing. We will definitely stay here again.

Its the 2nd time i have stayed in this hotel. This time round we booked a Junior Suite and it was really a very big room. We had a room on the 14th Floor and the room was really good. The Bed sheets were clean. We didnt see any cockcroaches crawling around our rooms. We stayed a total of 5 nights there. Air Con was really cold and we also enjoyed the buffet breakfast in the Oyster Bar in the mornings. This time round we tried to learn to walk and we actually walked all the way from the hotel to the nearby Robinson's Mall. it was such a nice experience walking among the locals and seeing their way of life. We also went to the nearby local favorite night spots like Cowboy Grills and Padi's Point. Cheap Alcohol and really good band and entertainment. All in all it was a fabulous trip with my gf and her sister.

I booked for a 6 day stay initially. I was so happy with the hotel I ended up staying an extra week. The room had everything I needed. Fridge, stove/oven, very comfortable bed, on 14th floor so no street noise, A big window that I could open and smell the sea and what a great view down past Makati, to MOA and back towards the city of Manila. My aircon was cold and quiet the shower was HOT water with good flow. Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels and bed linen done and floor was swept and rubbish removed. The staff here are so good, I tipped them all which is rare for me! Overall the hotel is older and does need some freshening up, but the foyer is immaculate and the elevators are fast and modern. The hotel has a cafe and bar/restaurant,,,, I didn't use as I had my own cooking, bur from outside it was very new, clean and glitzy and they had plenty of customers so that is always a good guide. I was so happy that after I went and did my business in Laguna I cam back for another week. I won't be staying in any other hotel now, this is my home away from home now. I paid only $41AU a night, no deposit asked for and it was terrific value. Apart from looks I would rate this a 3 to 4 star place, it just lacks the La De Da for 5 stars. Places close by are Robinsons Mall 5mins (walk), Moa 10 mins by taxi about 100php, Ocean Park 10 mins, casino 5mins, 100's of restaurants around, and Manila Bay Walk is across Roxas Boulevard via a pedestrian bridge. L.A bar in one block away if you want to watch the footy or have a dance, just dodge the bar girls and you will be right.. they are friendly and won't annoy you if they understand you just there for a drink. Touts and beggars are everywhere in Malate, you get used to saying "no peso" it is a few pickpockets that you need to watch for, and they are children about 11yo...okay!!! Anyways hope this review helps you and enjoy your stay in Manila. C ya!

For anyone having there doubts about where’s a good hotel you need to look no further I stayed here 4 times n will continue coming to this hotel .For one thing they have a elevator to where others you have to walk up a flight of stairs n he rooms are nice n clean you get free breakfast n let me tell you it’s out of this world great .The staff very friendly n your 2 blocks away from the SM Mall to .of course there’s free WiFi n they have a computer in the lobby you can use to .belive me when I tell you this have stayed in a lot of hotels n there have been some I called The Hotel From Hell cause looking at the place online was nice but getting there n finally seeing the room omg what a dump So don’t even think about The Manila Hotel that place is filthy So I recommended if you want a hotel n friendly staff Silver Springs is the best it’s a 10 plus hotel n I’ll book there anytime I go to Manila

I stay here often. On this occasion the Agoda booking App picked up on my previous booking and booked 2 rooms for 1 night. I spent 10+ mins waiting for Agoda support line (because you can't message them). I tried calling Agoda again with limited support. The hotel overheard and signalled me that they would change my booking at the hotel. Good job Rosas Garden Hotel. Always happy to stay with you.

You get the most of what you need, i.e. a place to spend a night or 2 in, to attend to business within the vicinity. It's not 5 star amenities but you can't and must not expect that for the small price you pay. If that's what you want book other hotels that are 5 stars, and cost appropriately much more, around the same area. The important thing is to set your expectations according to what you are willing to pay for. I would book and recommend this same hotel for similar purpose.

It was such a pleasant stay in City Garden Suite for the second time 10 nights. Very fast check in and check out Room was big, comfortable to move. Staff were always smiling and greeting you. Location is right just walking distance to Robinson PLACE and very closed to Cowboy Grill Mabini and rest of night life Big improvement on food & Beverage with new menu card Room Service with wide selection of food which was good . Noticed Big Changes on the LOBBY Good Décor & Design. Breakfast buffet need some enhancement. I strongly recommend this hotel and sure I will stay again during my next trip to Manila

Main advantage of the hotel is that it's new with modern design, hence everything works and is clean. I'm not quite sure how will the design suitable for homes sustain in place like this hotel for few years (e.g. shower door leading to the room when sealing around the glass doors wears off or elevated sink with tight spaces around). Yellow and green colors are annoying and look cheap, but it's part of branding so not much to be said. Overall pleasant stay in the hotel, but no breakfast option. Hotel beds are comfortable, tv works. Not much storage space for clothing in the room, but in-room safe is definitely a plus. Separate toilet with sink and shower (but be prepared, that hotel gives you only one soap bar to share in both). Another unpleasant surprise is that hotel charges for storage of luggage after check-out. They have on-site laundry and massage services, which are quite overprices compared to options just few steps outside of hotel door.

Second stay at this this hotel. This time I booked a room that supposedly isn’t windowless but what I still got was a windowless room on the fourth floor. The internet at that time was acting up but when it was reported to their staff, they immediately fixed it. Location is within walking distance to Manila Embassy and to Robinsons Manila. There are a lot of 24-hour convenience stores and fast food stores located nearby which is great. There is also an internet shop next door which is convenient as I needed some documents printed. The staff were accommodating. Overall, it’s a nice and cheap place to stay in if you have your embassy interview or your medical in St. Luke’s.

It is the perfect location for where I needed to be that day. I appreciate the hotel staff and the guard on duty for taking the initiative to let my elderly parents in so they can rest. They don't charge me for the early check in, even though I left by midnight just beacuse I finished my task early. I also get the car park space that I requested. It is a basic and clean hotel. If you have appointment near St. Lukes this is the best affordable place to stay.

The main reason my wife and I stayed at this hotel was because it it very close to the US Embassy. Its about an 8 minute walk to the Embassy and to St. Luke's Extension Clinic. The rooms in this hotel are small, and you can easily hear people walking around the hallways, but the cleanliness makes up for these shortcomings. Most hotels at this price are not clean but Hotel Juliano is clean and the shower is hot. If you want a small clean hotel for a cheap price then this is a great choice. If you want to sleep in luxury while spending your time in Manila then this is not your best option.

I liked this hotel and for a three star it is up there with the best. Our room was large and clean. The bathroom was ok, everything worked, and the hot water was HOT! Always a bonus. The restaurant was great having a not only a standard "global" menu but a very nice Italian menu too. I don't normally eat "in" at any hotel I/we stay at but this was to good to pass up, excellent food, at a very reasonable price. One of the few hotels worldwide that I've ever said this about. Will I stay again......sure will :-) On the downside my tv was well past its use by date, an old boxy set with poor pic and sound, also to small for the room. But who goes on holiday to watch tv? The set breakfast wasn't up to much either, not much at all. I would rather pay less for the room and eat out or even be given a voucher in lieu of have the set breakfast and putting it towards a very nice meal in their excellent restaurant in the evening. This is also only the second hotel I have ever stayed in that has direct access to a casino. I don't gamble myself but I'm sure that this feature would appeal to some.

I had the loveliest time at Miramar Hotel! Stayed for two nights, just for an event in the adjacent Hotel. Miramar is quite beautiful, a true art deco place. Carpeted stairs, ornate decor, and an airy open interior. I was given a corner room on the 4th floor. (I booked the most basic one, so if that's it then wow, and if I was upgraded, then awesome!) I had SO MUCH SPACE and I loved it. The room was worth so much. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom spotlessly clean. Seriously, spotlessly clean. There was no hint of mold. It's true that there's a bit of karaoke noise from downstairs but it wasn't too bad, and during my stay the singing usually stopped around half past midnight anyway. People who sleep late, like myself, would have no issues. I also tried their breakfast, which I didn't purchase with the room. Generous servings, and very fast service! I had ordered in advance, expecting the normal hotel wait for room service, but lo and behold barely ten minutes later, here was my food. No free wifi in the room, but you can grab a card worth PHP 100 for three hours from the front desk. Expensive, but a much better bargain than Microtel's PHP 100 for one hour! And the net is fast so it's worth it. Or you could go to the lobby where it's free. Best part of the hotel: the staff. Particularly manong guard at the front. If hotel management is reading this please do say thank you to manong guard for making my stay a very pleasant one! All in all, I'll be staying at this hotel again when the need to be in Manila arises. (Lastly, Emerald Garden is a two minute walk away in the direction of Starbucks! Go there for the best siopao in the Philippines! Ah, and yes, there's a Chowking, a Starbucks open until 1am, and a 24-hour 7-11 right beside the hotel.)

Moved to this hotel from another in the same neighborhood because I needed to cut my expenses. BP was less than half the price of the first hotel for essentially the same level of accommodations. The "single deluxe" is not what Americans would consider "deluxe." Although the room was spacious, the furnishings were minimal in the extreme--a "single" bed (not a twin) about the size of a cot, a small night stand, one small chair were the only furnishings. The bed was comfortable, and the staff carefully made it up with fancily-folded towel and bedspread. There was a small LCD tv attached to the wall with about 60 cable channels. (Note that none of the hotels I have stayed in in Manila had cable service that provided anything approaching a decent picture. This includes a couple of 4-star hotels.) The room had large windows with nice views of the city. There was a sink in the room, in addition to the one in the bathroom. The bathroom was small but adequate. Everything (except TV cable) worked well. After my initial stay of 3 days, I extended for an additional 3 days instead of moving to a fancier place that I had planned on. I was very happy with these accommodations for the price, and enjoyed several long conversations with the very friendly staff.

The hotel staff was very friendly and professional during my stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. The house keeping staff was very friendly and professional. I had a couple of issues with the room and when i brought them to the hotel staff they corrected them right away. I brought a camera with me and the hotel loaned me a transformer for the room so i could charge the battery of the camera because local power is 220v. The hotel restaurant is very nice and friendly but they charge american prices for their meals.
