"My wife and I first meeting was with all of her family and we all stayed at the Paragon Hotel later when we asked all of her family to meet so we could ask for permission to be married. They were very helpful and kind. The hotel is also near many of the places you need to go during the process to get a visa. The hotel even has a pharmacy in the lower floor, on our first meeting my wife was gravely i'll and me and sister took care of her. Hotel is within walking distance of a nice mall near by, where we got a balcony for our dinner when I asked her family for permission. The hotel is near the National park where my wife and I got have our first date after she got better."

"Location good for me – I like this area – been many times. Took room on 4th floor as was supposed to have a safety box – there was not but too tired to change – they should have safety boxes in more of the rooms anyway The room was spacious room, air-con good – had fridge, bench and sink small table to work on Beds comfy enough, room clean and serviced daily The towels have reached their use-by date – lash out please and buy some new ones – they are cheap enough in Robinsons which is very close by Plenty of restaurants bars and nightlife close by too Small TV with limited channels but one OK News Channel Al Jazeera Breakfast was included but limited selection -- Also that area is on the roof and very hot – if closed in and air-conditioned could be a good cafeteria and people not only guests would use – please look at that idea. Staff are all very helpful Wi-Fi is ok on Mobile but couldn’t pick up my laptop Overall place is good value for money They dont take credit cards Cash only "

"It's not every day you get to stay in a UNESCO World Heritage site! This historic hotel is mere footsteps away from San Agustin Museum and Church, and a short walk away from Manila Cathedral, Ft. Santiago (named after St. James the Moor-slayer, due to a legend he appeared centuries after his death to fight at the Battle of Clavijo) and Rizal Park (which has an 18-hole gold course). The hotel is very budget-friendly, especially when you consider the location. If you're into architecture, you owe it to yourself to check this place out and see one of the few places in Manila where the Spanish influence is preserved (not all of it dates back to the colonial period, but an honest effort is made to make it look original). The hotel offers "electric chariot" (think Segway) tours of Intramuros for a fee--worth the trip. The hotel also has a restaurant, the Coco Bango Cafe and Restaurant, which serves Filipino and American cuisine. You definitely get your money's worth here!"
