I am an American who lives a pretty good life in the Philippines, used to nice hotels and great food. I read many reviews about the Bayview Park Hotel, many of which were negative left by foreigners. I am going to attempt to set the record straight from a foreigners perspective. 1. If you are thinking that the Bayview is a 5 star hotel, expecting a 5 star experience, then you are going to be severely disappointed. 2. If you are expecting a very nice hotel for $50 a night with everything you need, then you will be very happy. Lies and Rumors: 1. #706 on the Superior Room Rate without Breakfast. 2. The Staff are wonderful. The people who said that they were rude must not have grumpy because they were extremely nice to us and everyone else. 3. The Hotel does NOT smell, it smell just fine. 4. The rooms are NOT small, they are very large. 5. The bed was a little hard but not too hard. Nice bed. 6. Additional comforters and pillow are available on request for free. 7. The rooms are older but newly updated. They have a fridge, a nice bed, newly painted walls, a really nice bathroom and everything you can want. 8. The AIRCON / Air works GREAT. We had to turn it down because it was so powerful. 9. The location is perfect. We were going to the embassy which is literally steps away from the hotel, but it is also central to everything. 10. Starbucks is in the same building. 11. Chowking, 7/11 and Yellow Cab are about 75 steps away 12. WIFI is available in more expensive rooms but ours was turned on for free. Typically 350 per day. 13. Breakfast was not included in our room because we got the $60 after taxes rate but typically 450 per person in the morning. It seems like a bit steep for the selection so I would NOT get the breakfast package.

The staff's quality of service is like that of a 5-star hotel. All of them are very accomodating and very kind to requests. The room is okay. The breakfast is ala carte but the taste is good/satisfactory. I was a solo traveler and my room has 2 breakfast, I was offered to take the 2 or take the other meal as lunch which was favorable for me. There was no complimentary bottled water in the room, however they offer service water that can be taken to your room. The hotel's location is very near robinson's mall. Overall, it was worth it.

Ermital is a weird place. It feels like a local neighborhood, and is obviously very poor. There is some modern development consisting of condos and the Robinsons shopping mall complex. Due to it's location near Manila's tourist attractions, Ermita has many budget guesthouses. These guesthouses are cheap, but they are not nice. They are small, old, and dirty. If you have a little more to spend, the new Red Planet is a clean, modern refuge in the weirdness of Ermita. The room is small, but that's to be expected in Manila. Despite the small size, the room is sparking clean and modern, and has a huge bed. The AC is strong. The bathroom has a shower stall. The staff is helpful and booked a taxi to the airport for me. Negatives are that due to the small size, there are not many surfaces to put your stuff on. There are no hand towels in the bathroom. And the AC is surprisingly bright, and illuminates the otherwise dark room at night. Despite the minor negatives, I had a nice stay at Red Pl

I have stayed at the La Corona hotel many times over the years since finding this little gem and I have never been disappointed. I stayed in room 502/ 5th floor from Sunday, 3rd March and checking out on the morning of Wednesday, 6th March, 2019. Room 502 is great with large secured electronic safe, good clean bathroom with strong hot water and rain shower. Best asset of this hotel is the staff, they go above and beyond. You will not be disappointed. Location of hotel is great close to United Nations or Pedro Gil train stations, roughly 400 metre walk.

I've stayed in a hotel in Manila five times, and this one is the best. Basically, for the price, it simply cannot be much better. The only weakness about this hotel is that it is not in the best area of Manila. But, I would gladly reiterate that this hotel happily surprised me! I believe it is much better than even the photos reveal. To be specific, the rooms are outstanding; beautiful design, large beds, super clean linens, and nice wood furniture, refrigerators in standard rooms, nice bathrooms, and nice plasma wall set TV. Remotes controls work perfectly, and the housekeeping is very responsive. Extra towels are no charge and rooms come with nuts and drinks in the fridge, for example, beer and Gatorade; water is complimentary if you request bottles. Staff is at the front desk and completely attentive 24 hours, including doorman to get you a taxi or open doors for you. The pool is beautiful, and nice temp. Beautiful little waterfall. But the biggest surprise is the food!! This hotel has one of the best restaurants in Manila, in my opinion. The executive chef is from Switzerland, his name Chris. The restaurant serves same quality breakfast, as I had Eggs Benedict that was excellent, though it is not free; and same quality lunch, with smaller menu selection. But, if you like rich, delicious Italian food, which is not at the highest prices in the city, then stay at this hotel. I plan to almost always stay at this hotel, when in Manila, unless its all booked. Why? Because the prices are so reasonable, the staff is young, but very hardworking, and unlike most hotels in Manila, it has a pool. Last but not always least, the food is actually some of the best you might ever have.

Casa Bocobo is situated in walking distance of LRT station United Nations. Banks, ATM, money changers (check some rates first as they vary) and restaurants and markets are close. To Rizal Park and Intramuros it's a ten minute's walk, as well as to the nightlife bars of Ermita - just take care who you talk to, there are some suspicious individuals around the area. Hotel rooms are rather small but clean and quiet, cable TV and WiFi available. Hotel staff are all super-friendly and helpful. For breakfast it's your choice: tea/coffee/juice and rather Continental style with pancake, toasted bread fried/boiled egg and omelette or the Philippine way with tasty sausages and garlic rice. Will go there again when in Manila!

We decided to stay at this hotel because of its excellent reviews and its affordable rates. Although the hotel is small just 6 floors, the rooms we stayed in are very spacious. Big king bed, big bathroom, big windows! Although they dont have swimming pool, they have big bath tub. My son didnt want to leave the tub and my mom also enjoyed her beauty dip. The location is the best, just across roxas blvd is the museong pambata. walk towards the quirino grand stand and you'll be in manila ocean park. Across the kalaw st is the Luneta Park starting at Rizal monument. Then few minutes walk going to the national museums. Fastfood and restaurants are near the hotel and you wont have problem looking for a place to eat. The staff are friendly, acccommodating, and curteous. They let us leave our baggages since we arrived early and they allowed us to check out late. They also gave us two adjacent rooms as requested. As mentioned, the rates are very affordable. We booked 2 rooms here at Luneta Hotel at a price of 1 room in other hotels. Overall, the experience is really nice and relaxing. We will definitely stay here again.

The hotel has a good location for one in the Ermita Area - it's near an LRT Station, you can easily get a taxi, and there are 7 parking levels available. The room amenities are more than or just about what you would expect for a 3-star hotel: split-type and silent aircon, 21-inch TV, refrigerator, complimentary water, slippers, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, clean T&B with hot and cold shower and sink water. Free wifi is available at the 8th and 9th floors, but it would have been better if it could be available in every room; nevertheless, having it available and free is already good. Unfortunately the front desk is at the 9th floor, I hope they could transfer it to the lobby on the ground floor. The room also smelled dusty upon entering for the first time, but that feeling later disappeared.

I arrived late in the evening. Check in was quick and I was taken to my room by the friendly concierge. The hotel is a little dated, but would have been top of the range when originally built. The room was large and spacious, the bed comfortable and the kitchen equipped with all the essentials. From the hotel, it was easy to wander across to the waterfront, and stroll down to Rizal park nearby. Robinson Square shopping center is a short walk away on Pedro Gil.

I stay here often. On this occasion the Agoda booking App picked up on my previous booking and booked 2 rooms for 1 night. I spent 10+ mins waiting for Agoda support line (because you can't message them). I tried calling Agoda again with limited support. The hotel overheard and signalled me that they would change my booking at the hotel. Good job Rosas Garden Hotel. Always happy to stay with you.

Location good for me – I like this area – been many times. Took room on 4th floor as was supposed to have a safety box – there was not but too tired to change – they should have safety boxes in more of the rooms anyway The room was spacious room, air-con good – had fridge, bench and sink small table to work on Beds comfy enough, room clean and serviced daily The towels have reached their use-by date – lash out please and buy some new ones – they are cheap enough in Robinsons which is very close by Plenty of restaurants bars and nightlife close by too Small TV with limited channels but one OK News Channel Al Jazeera Breakfast was included but limited selection -- Also that area is on the roof and very hot – if closed in and air-conditioned could be a good cafeteria and people not only guests would use – please look at that idea. Staff are all very helpful Wi-Fi is ok on Mobile but couldn’t pick up my laptop Overall place is good value for money They dont take credit cards Cash only

You get the most of what you need, i.e. a place to spend a night or 2 in, to attend to business within the vicinity. It's not 5 star amenities but you can't and must not expect that for the small price you pay. If that's what you want book other hotels that are 5 stars, and cost appropriately much more, around the same area. The important thing is to set your expectations according to what you are willing to pay for. I would book and recommend this same hotel for similar purpose.

very frustrating bec room rate quoted was only good for 1 pax. had to pay p600 for my hubby so stay was more expensive than other hotels in the same area.however,they upgraded our room cz of the above complaint.clean room but bed was too creaky and mattress was old.buffet bkfst was better than eurotel pedro gil branch but i prefer eurotel's location coz it is right across robinsons galleria and room rates are much way cheaper.staff attentive and accomodating.

Main advantage of the hotel is that it's new with modern design, hence everything works and is clean. I'm not quite sure how will the design suitable for homes sustain in place like this hotel for few years (e.g. shower door leading to the room when sealing around the glass doors wears off or elevated sink with tight spaces around). Yellow and green colors are annoying and look cheap, but it's part of branding so not much to be said. Overall pleasant stay in the hotel, but no breakfast option. Hotel beds are comfortable, tv works. Not much storage space for clothing in the room, but in-room safe is definitely a plus. Separate toilet with sink and shower (but be prepared, that hotel gives you only one soap bar to share in both). Another unpleasant surprise is that hotel charges for storage of luggage after check-out. They have on-site laundry and massage services, which are quite overprices compared to options just few steps outside of hotel door.

Second stay at this this hotel. This time I booked a room that supposedly isn’t windowless but what I still got was a windowless room on the fourth floor. The internet at that time was acting up but when it was reported to their staff, they immediately fixed it. Location is within walking distance to Manila Embassy and to Robinsons Manila. There are a lot of 24-hour convenience stores and fast food stores located nearby which is great. There is also an internet shop next door which is convenient as I needed some documents printed. The staff were accommodating. Overall, it’s a nice and cheap place to stay in if you have your embassy interview or your medical in St. Luke’s.

The place is very convenient specially for those who are having their medicals done at St lukes and near also to US embassy. Room is spacious and the ambiance is comforting. Accessible to church, and very near to convenient stores. LRT station is just a few blocks away, as well as Robinsons Mall. Staffs are very friendly and accomodating. Fast food chains can be found in every corner. :)

I liked this hotel and for a three star it is up there with the best. Our room was large and clean. The bathroom was ok, everything worked, and the hot water was HOT! Always a bonus. The restaurant was great having a not only a standard "global" menu but a very nice Italian menu too. I don't normally eat "in" at any hotel I/we stay at but this was to good to pass up, excellent food, at a very reasonable price. One of the few hotels worldwide that I've ever said this about. Will I stay again......sure will :-) On the downside my tv was well past its use by date, an old boxy set with poor pic and sound, also to small for the room. But who goes on holiday to watch tv? The set breakfast wasn't up to much either, not much at all. I would rather pay less for the room and eat out or even be given a voucher in lieu of have the set breakfast and putting it towards a very nice meal in their excellent restaurant in the evening. This is also only the second hotel I have ever stayed in that has direct access to a casino. I don't gamble myself but I'm sure that this feature would appeal to some.

I had the loveliest time at Miramar Hotel! Stayed for two nights, just for an event in the adjacent Hotel. Miramar is quite beautiful, a true art deco place. Carpeted stairs, ornate decor, and an airy open interior. I was given a corner room on the 4th floor. (I booked the most basic one, so if that's it then wow, and if I was upgraded, then awesome!) I had SO MUCH SPACE and I loved it. The room was worth so much. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom spotlessly clean. Seriously, spotlessly clean. There was no hint of mold. It's true that there's a bit of karaoke noise from downstairs but it wasn't too bad, and during my stay the singing usually stopped around half past midnight anyway. People who sleep late, like myself, would have no issues. I also tried their breakfast, which I didn't purchase with the room. Generous servings, and very fast service! I had ordered in advance, expecting the normal hotel wait for room service, but lo and behold barely ten minutes later, here was my food. No free wifi in the room, but you can grab a card worth PHP 100 for three hours from the front desk. Expensive, but a much better bargain than Microtel's PHP 100 for one hour! And the net is fast so it's worth it. Or you could go to the lobby where it's free. Best part of the hotel: the staff. Particularly manong guard at the front. If hotel management is reading this please do say thank you to manong guard for making my stay a very pleasant one! All in all, I'll be staying at this hotel again when the need to be in Manila arises. (Lastly, Emerald Garden is a two minute walk away in the direction of Starbucks! Go there for the best siopao in the Philippines! Ah, and yes, there's a Chowking, a Starbucks open until 1am, and a 24-hour 7-11 right beside the hotel.)

I didn't expect much from this place as I only needed to stay 1 night in a hostel near immigration in intramuros & I was in a hurry but it's clean,comfy bed,tv, hot shower, SM right across the road, LRT central terminal 5mins away where you can hop on and go to Gil Puyat terminal to catch one of the many buses to Batangas Pier (bus terminal is right beside Gil Puyat station). The rooms are large. I stayed in a budget room with 3 beds which have partitions that provide privacy. The shower is fine & there's a tv.The wifi is in the lobby which is plagued by mosquitos(while I was there anyway) For the most part I gave 3 or 4 stars for this place simply because it was ideal for my purposeful visit. I didn't try the food & there's no complimentary breakfast provided. The staff were smiley & polite but no one shows you to the room or offers tips/suggestions. I'll probably stay there again the next time I need to go to immigration as it's ideally situated.

The hotel staff was very friendly and professional during my stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. The house keeping staff was very friendly and professional. I had a couple of issues with the room and when i brought them to the hotel staff they corrected them right away. I brought a camera with me and the hotel loaned me a transformer for the room so i could charge the battery of the camera because local power is 220v. The hotel restaurant is very nice and friendly but they charge american prices for their meals.
