This is a great place to relax. It is a huge place with limited number of guests rooms. No crowds like what you see at Tokyo or Fuji. The room I stayed is facing a golf course. I wished I would skip Tokyo and Fuji and came here directly for a week of relaxation. Having your own transport is a must to fully enjoy.

Pro: it’s situated up the hill with Mr Fuji view, very quiet place with onsen. Shuttle bus is provided from hotel to Shuzenji Station and to a bus stop of about 1km yon Shuzenji onsen, with a nice walk up to ume grove and maple forrest. Con: slightly pricey if you are staying alone. Time for shuttle should be provided in English too. I mistook a shuttle 1415hrs which ...

Overall satisfied, but beware if a big tour group is also checking in, as they may fill up the dining room and the onsen. Some food in the buffet line (such as tempura at dinner, or boiled rice at breakfast), are not replenished even if there are still at least 30-45 minutes left of the time period. Check out time is 10am. The Bamboo Room is nice with massage chairs...
