Hyde Park hotels & places to stay

Beautiful residential area, near the embassy row. Stone's throw away from Kensington Palace and Hyde Park. Easily accessible by buses and Kensington High Stree Station. Apartments have been newly revamped/upgraded. We were first assigned apartment 11 (2-bedroom) on the 4th floor but the lift break down so we were moved to apartment 1 (3-bedroom) on the lower ground floor. Both apartments are superb. Although housekeeping has to be reminded to pay attention to the details (of cleaning)

We were booked in here 4 times, and each time had a different room, they were all good each one had something a bit wonky but nothing serious. This place is in a perfect spot to get around, the high street full of great food is only a block away, Hyde park at the end of the street, it's all there. We had a great stay here very helpful staff, good breakfast would stay here again.!!

From being directed into the pram accessible door with ramp by the lovely porters at the front .. to having our room ready at 11am rather than 3pm by Noelle .. our whole experience at the amba hotel was 10 out of 10. Locates 2 minutes from Oxford Street .. across the road from hyde park winter wonderland .. 10-15 minutes taxi ride from Euston .. we only have praise for this hotel and can’t wait to book for next year! Our room was huge compared to other London hotels .. clean modern .. free mini bar. Just fantastic! Thankyou amba Marble Arch!

I love this hotel so much! I am an interior designer. I can rate this hotel as one of the best hotel in Hyde park. The design is so beautiful and confortable. This hotel located in very good location. The underground train just few steps from the hotel. Can even go anywhere by bus. The bus stop are so near. At the back of the hotel you can easily gets any food , halal foods, restaurant , supermarket, shops.everthings are so near to this hotel!!!! Will recomand this hotel to everyone!

The Cumberland was a great stay, it's next door to the subway and you're minutes away from most things you may want to see. Across the street is Hyde Park and if you're a morning person, the park makes for a great jog in the morning and since you're Oxford Street itself, you have ample shopping opportunities nearby, it's a lot like being in Union Square in San Francisco. The room size for a double twin was more than ample compared to that of other hotels I've been in New York and Tokyo but most of all, the rooms were comfortable enough that if you wanted to take a break from your vacation, you could settle back and just enjoy the ambience of the room. I have to admit though, the half shower door threw me off, you would imagine it would make a bigger mess but it doesn't. The size of the bathroom catches you off guard how big it is. There are ample charging outlets in the room, just be sure to bring your converter otherwise there's a 110V plug in the bathroom if you're in a pinch and from the US.

Easy to find hotel and good location. Pleasantly surprised by the presence of a MAYBANK ATM machine in Lobby. I booked a Dbl Studio Room for that extra space which included a sofa and dining table and a kitchenette. Room was comfortable considering it was London. Few minutes walk to Bayswater and Queensway Tube stations, restaurants, pubs, cafes and shopping mall. Very convenient by bus or tube to shopping in Oxford and Bond Streets, Picadally and Harrods. Walking distance to Hyde Park and only a few stations away to Portobello Market and Westfield. For Asians visiting London, there are Chinese restaurants and even one Halal Chinese Restaurant managed by Malaysians called Noodle Oodle near Bayswater Station. Supermarkets and Pharmacies nearby as well Check-in is normally at 2.30pm and check-out at 12noon. So if you arrive in the morning, leave your luggage in Hotel and start exploring the area!

the hotel staff was friendly & helpful. the minute the hotel reception retrieved my booking, she knew that i am a hilton member & immediately upgraded our room to a suite! it was a wonderful surprise! the room was spacious & the beds were really comfortable. we also liked the crabtree & evelyn toiletries provided. as the hotel was just a few mins walk from the metro, it was very convenient getting around. oxford street & hyde park are about 20mins walk from the hotel. there were also supermarkets within walking distance. what was also convenient was that there is a shuttle bus that the concierge can arrange for you to go from hotel to bicester village!! we paid 23pounds per person for that. well worth the convenience! my parents & i enjoyed our stay at hilton!

No doubt a compact room but this place was well worth the money bec of the location, for the Hyde Park area. (1 minute from Paddington Tube station). Comfortable bed, nice shower and posh toiletries. The breakfast was perfect on both days and the staff were very polite and welcoming. The room was very clean. A lot of local places were significantly more money and I don’t spend much time in the room whilst in London so the room size wasn’t an issue. I would definitely consider this place again.

I've been visiting London for the past 12 years and this my first stay in The Westbourne Hyde Park Hotel. We arrived very early in the morning and there were no rooms yet. But around 11 o'clock they arranged an early check-in for me and my colleague for two rooms. That was so helpful as we were tired from flying for 8 hours. The amenities and gadgets in the room were really good. The internet was very fast and stable. The location is very convenient. Very close to Lancaster Gate Station and Paddington Station. Hyde Park is just one minute away from the hotel. Restaurants and shops are all in a walking distance from you. My only complaint is that they don't offer a complimentary bottle of water every day. They just give you one bottle when you arrive and that's it. Al in all, I totally enjoyed my stay and definitely will stay here again.

Stayed 2 nights on a room only basis. Lovely hotel, great location for the concert we attended in Hyde Park, pleasant staff. Little bemused as to why if you book breakfast in advance it is £4 cheaper than if you just turn up on the day.....whats different that warrants an extra £4 ?? Fire alarm went off on the 2nd morning, it was somewhat disorganised. We made our way through the nearest fire escape and sat outside with a few other guests, an employee appeared in a high vis vest some minutes later, shut the fire door we had come out of then asked if we were residents, we replied yes and she walked off !! We weren't asked our names, room numbers or anything !! After 10 minutes we walked back into the hotel to find everyone else had gone back in ( if they'd bothered leaving the hotel at all !! ) eating breakfast and going about their business whilst we'd been left outside and told nothing. Being in the hotel industry for over 30 years I found this to be unprofessional and disorganised. I would suggest management review their fire safety procedure and maybe more staff training would be an advantage. Other than that an enjoyable stay.

Generally I thought the hotel was nice. Staff was friendly, location was good, rooms were clean and net renovated. For us, location was great - cos Marylebone is convenient and walking distance to Oxford Street, Hyde Park and Tube station. We also like the complimentary evening wine and cheese session for hotel guests. But really be prepared for super small room even for London or New York standards. You will need to unpack and put away the luggage under the bed or in the closet in order to have any floor space. Proportionately, the bathroom and shower is decent size. Also, note that the hotel is spread down a couple blocks so the reception might be in a different building.

Booked an Economy Double room and put in a special request for twin beds, hoping for an Economy Twin room. The hotel mistook and upgraded me to a Superior Twin room as they didn’t have a room type called Economy Twin. I offered to switch back to the Economy Double but the hotel let me stay in the Superior room anyway. That made my stay extremely pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and clean, came with a phone that we could call local and some international numbers for free. Showers were nice, strong and hot. Hotel was a seven minute walk from Paddington station but one minute walk from Lancaster Gate station. The buses at the station took you to many major tourist areas, and buses are waaaay cheaper than the subway. Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are just opposite Lancaster Gate station. Pretty much a good base to explore London, and very much recommended for those who need to return to the hotel couple of times a day.

our first night did we have to spend at another hotel at Heathrow Airport, wasn`t a problem at all, we got our private driver and they organized all of it, so that felt plesent. The Hotel is close to a lot of facilitis like Hyde-Park, the famous Notting Hill Market and if you want to you can even walk to Oxford Street. I can recommand the Hotel to anybody. We had a nice doubleroom in the 4 th floor beside the alivator, we liked it, very nice and calm at Princes Square. The negative thing`s/thing`s wich could be better were a very little dining/breakfirst room and sometimes a bit noise from the floor`s. But at all that wouldn`t keep me away from this hotel, i would/will come back to it! Good service and value for your money!

excellent location, just around corner from Natural History museum and Hyde Park plus access to 2 different train lines within close walking distance. Friendly helpful staff. Rooms clean, comfortable & well appointed. Small by Aussie standards but roomy enough for us plus large suitcases & we could still move around easily. Needs thicker curtains with early rising sun being a small issue in east facing room but eye mask can fix that too. On main road but very little noise from street heard by us on level one.

We booked the hotel for an event and were able to drop our bags early morning even though the room wasn’t ready until later so saved us having to take them with us. Friendly staff. Lovely building with ornate double height ceilings. Comfortable bed and quiet location though only 5 mins from Hyde Park and food/bars, and parking. Very clean and well thought out kitchenette with most things you would need for semi self catering if wanted. Not large room/bathroom but big enough and powerful shower and plenty of hot water. VERY slight redecoration required in shower area if I was to be picky about anything..but certainly not a issue for us. It’s not the Ritz, but neither is it Ritz money! Will definitely add to my list of places to stay at again.

The location was great and staff were great too. The rooms are small and basic which is to be expected in London but great location for the concert we were attending in Hyde Park. There is no air-conditioning which would be desirable in the hot summer evenings but we were provided with a fan. Not fantastic value for money as prices were raised due to the events on in Hyde Park but having said that it was clean and location was good so I would stay here again and would recommend it on that basis

Hotel was recently refurbished. Great quality for the price. Large LCD. Great lighting. Good shower. Dark/sultry colour scheme in room and corridor. Staff were very friendly. As we'd gone for the cheapest deal we thought we'd only get a continental breakfast but were surprised to be able to order anything from the breakfast menu at no cost. Staff also held our luggage until the evening after checkout at no cost. Located just off the end of Oxford street near Hyde Park.

I have been to London for 6 times and this is the best accommodation I have ever had so far. The decoration of the hotel is nice and romantic and the best of all is it's location. It's just 5 mins walk from underground station and Hyde park is just right next to it. You will find it super awesome if the hotel is so convenient when you travel in winter, no need to take long cold walk from tube station. And every morning, i can enjoy morning walk in hyde park that makes my london trip perfect.

The location is good. Walking distance to Hyde Park, Paddington Station and Lancaster Gate Station. There are many restaurants nearby. Tried to contact the management of the apartment, not so responsive. Check in via given codes through email. Going in and out of the apartment will be using the codes given. My code to gain entrance to my apartment was supposed to change on my check out day but it was changed the night before checking out without being informed. A little disappointed.

Stayed at the hotel in April, and would recommend this hotel. Arrived in on the Heathrow Express at Paddington and the hotel is located right beside the station! Very comfortable rooms, and the buffet breakfast has a wide selection on offer. However I suggest you have your breakfast early as the restaurant gets very busy around 9.00am! Plus point, ideal location to all major shopping areas such as Oxford Street, and main attractions such as Hyde Park and Kensington Palace! Would certainly go back to the Hilton.

The hotel is located close to Paddington Station (under 10 mins walking distance), which has a direct express train to and from Heathrow Airport. While the room is small (single), it has all the necessities and is clean - I had a comfortable stay. The neighbourhood is lovely and quiet, and the hotel is very close to Hyde Park. Staff members were very welcoming and helpful. I would return here for my next trip in London.

We booked one night here the night before and received a large discount on a family room. The room was a large room on the 3rd floor with an open outlook - the windows could be opened.. It had a double bed with 2 singles beds. The double bed had no side tables due to the room configuration. The bathroom was large with a double sink and a bath with a shower and soaps, shampoo and shower gel. There was a room safe. Breakfast was simple but perfect for us with an assortment of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, toast and continental pastries and cold meats and cheese. The reception staff were excellent and stored our luggage prior to collection at the end of the day. It’s very convenient to Bayswater and Queensberry railway stations and to Hyde Park. Would definitely stay there again.

Due to the technical problem with the computer, Thistle Hyde Park was overbooked our booking and we ended up at the Thistle Garden which is about 3 min. walk from the Hyde Park. The Hyde Park was very apologetic about the whole situation. When we arrived at the Garden View, the reception was expecting us. The Garden view is very nice and cozy hotel and very convenience. It nears the both Lancaster and Queenway underground station. And the bus station is right in front of the hotel. Very nice hotel and will definitely consider both the Thistle Hyde Park and Thistle Garden View for the next visit.

We were two couples, staying one night for a birthday celebration. The location was great, right across from Hyde Park. Paid a bit more for a double executive room with a view of the park. It was nice to stay in London and not look at other buildings. We checked in early, and only one of our rooms was available. They said the next room would be ready in about half hour, but it still wasn't ready half hour later. This wasn't much of an issue, as we were heading out for the day. When we arrived back at the hotel around 11pm, our keys were there waiting for us. The rooms are beautifully decorated, but simple. The bathroom was clean, and has an excellent system for turning the shower or bath on (you don't have to reach in and get wet!). My only issue with the room was the duvet and the carpets. There was a very thin blanket on the bed with a duvet cover on it The duvet cover was much larger than the blanket, which meant you had at least a foot of empty duvet cover on each side of the bed and with two people in bed, the blanket doesn't actually cover both of you. Also, the carpets are well worn, and very stained. So disappointing when the rest of the room was decorated to such a high standard. We didn't eat in the restaurant, so unfortunately can't comment on that. Parking is extortionate though, but that's part of being in London. The nearest tube station is Queensway. We made the mistake of thinking it was Lancaster Gate, as google maps shows that the hotel is right between the two, but it's not accurate. All in all, it was a good stay. A nice hotel with a beautiful view of Hyde Park.
