Clean simple esthetics that seem to center all around the view. It rained most days i was there but was an incredible spot to enjoy it with a great breeze and the amazing view from my room, the lobby and the restaurant (even the bathroom based on the shade in the shower!) They do not have a generator (like most places in town) so we didnt have power or water for good chunks of time and there wasnt any water refill stations (which was interesting as the check in brochure asks you to bring your own water bottle for refills) but otherwise it’s a fantastic stay when in Vang vieng!
In terms of view, BEST. Location also quite good, near nigh market and restaurants. Their in-house restaurant KHOP CHAI DEU is good too, especially breakfast, served in large portion. Room is clean and staffs able to speak simple English and helpful. Don't forget to bring along your swim wear, pool is good. Only set back, air-con not cold even though they had tried to changed our room from 2nd to 5th flr. Plus on 5th flr, WIFI is bad. TV reception on both rooms are bad. Overall ok although price of room is on the high side.
Got a room with balcony which can see sunset with mountain backdrop. Room is clean and with all necessary amenities. Just a bit too dark even I turned on all lights. The hotel location is perfect with access to restaurant and bike rentals all within walking distance of 5-10mins. However, suggest not to book any tours or transportation from the hotel. Staff is helpful to offer me the booking but it’s way overpriced. For example, the hotel told m a tuktuk to Nam Xay would be 100,000 Kip when indeed I found a tuktuk by myself and got it for only 20,000kip.
🛏 Overall Impression of the Stay I had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. What stood out the most was the beautiful view and the relaxing pool area, both of which could be enjoyed directly from the ground floor. 🧹 Cleanliness I stayed in a Superior Room on the ground floor. While the room showed signs of wear and aging—likely due to high humidity and the building’s age—the spacious ceiling and open layout more than made up for it. I was able to fully enjoy the generous space and had a truly luxurious experience. Although a few small insects made their way into the room, it wasn’t particularly bothersome. The bathtub was also large and very comfortable, though the hot water ran out partway through, suggesting there may be a limit to the amount of hot water available. 👤 Staff Service This was unfortunately the most disappointing aspect of my stay and an area that I believe needs significant improvement. I did not feel welcomed, and there was a noticeable lack of smiles or hospitality from the staff. One male staff member, in particular, spoke with an intimidating expression. In the evening, he continued a conversation while resting one foot on a high chair next to him, exposing the sole of his foot toward me—a gesture I understand to be considered impolite in Laos. Additionally, when I inquired about the price of a minivan to Vientiane, he initially quoted 200,000 LAK per person. When I declined, he immediately offered 150,000 LAK. I was surprised to find myself negotiating prices with a hotel staff member, something I had never experienced before. Naturally, I chose not to use the service. This kind of behavior raises concerns about trust—who benefits from the 50,000 LAK difference? The hotel? The staff? While such negotiations might be common in the streets, I found it inappropriate for a hotel to present an inflated price at first. I strongly recommend the hotel review its approach in this regard. 📍 Location & Accessibility The location was excellent, with many restaurants and tourist spots nearby, making it a convenient base for exploring the area. In Vang Vieng, I recommend trying the ride-hailing app "Xanh SM" for easy transportation. 🍽 Breakfast & Dining Compared to other hotels in the 60–70 USD range, the breakfast selection felt somewhat limited and more in line with what I would expect from a 40–50 USD hotel. On my second morning, three out of the six available dishes had been changed, which showed some variety. All the dishes I tried were very tasty, so I was satisfied overall. 💡 Other Highlights The atmosphere throughout the hotel was calm and relaxing. The common areas are open-air with high ceilings, so there is no air conditioning and not much airflow, making it quite humid even at night. That said, the exterior of the hotel was attractive and well-maintained. However, the number of mosquitoes was overwhelming, making it difficult to stay in one place for too long. The restaurant on the ground floor does have ceiling fans, which provide some relief from the heat. They don't reply to you on WhatsApp or email even though they have time. And they should update the menu on their website.

“Interesting experience”
I had a great time here. The hotel is located in a prime location near the night market, right by the river, offering a beautiful view of the river, mountains, and people's activities like boating and kayaking. In the afternoon, I watched hot air balloons float by. In particular, I had a wonderful experience with the perfect service of the hotel. I forgot my wallet and didn't realize it when checking out. The hotel proactively called me to return it. However, after checking out, I visited a few places like the blue lagoon before taking a boat to Luang Prabang. It was only when I got to the train station that I realized I didn't have my wallet, and I searched frantically but couldn't find it. I remembered that I missed a phone number in Laos. I checked my email and saw an email from the hotel informing me that I had forgotten my wallet. I was so relieved that it wasn't lost elsewhere. I emailed them that I was about to go to Luang Prabang and would return the next evening. The hotel was very enthusiastic in guiding me on how to retrieve my wallet when I came back. Everything was very warm and attentive. If I return to Vang Vieng, I will still stay at Inthira. When I returned to Vietnam, I also stayed one night at The Rock Mountain, which is also part of the Inthira group, and I was very satisfied.
