Every time I go back to Hokkaido, I always stay at the Jozankei View Hotel. The pool is never too crowded, and it's very comfortable to relax in. Although there are mostly Chinese people in the large public bath, which can make it a bit uncomfortable, the food is really delicious. I want to use this hotel again next year.

The location is great, right next to a bus stop. The room is very spacious. We booked the most basic room which included breakfast and dinner. The buffet had a good variety of options, although there were no crab legs, there were shrimp. I especially want to praise the front desk staff member who wore glasses and spoke Chinese. Their service attitude was excellent. They not only informed us of the hotel's facilities and precautions but also gave us good advice. The other staff members were also very polite. The hot springs were amazing. As for the drawbacks, although we stayed in the new building, there was still a smell. After some research, it seems that it is due to the large number of insects and the inability to open the windows for ventilation. By the way, be sure not to open the windows because the air conditioning will turn off. It can get a bit stuffy during the day, but opening the windows for a short time can be tragic. Overall, it is a hotel with great value for money and I recommend it.

I originally thought the room was very big, but it was still a bit crowded with five people sleeping on the floor. Overall, I was very satisfied. The hot springs on B1B2 and the top floor of the 16th floor were great, but personally, I preferred the one downstairs. I liked the location of the room near the elevator in the main building. On the second night, there was a group of students who came to sleep late. The Kappa warm lighting event before October 31 was great, and the design was very beautiful.
Beautiful and Exquisite hotel”
I stayed here after participating in the Sapporo Yosakoi Soran festival which meant I was quite exhausted. But getting to this hotel from Sapporo was just 1 bus ride away. Later I realized after looking at the home site that there's a free shuttle that can take you to and from Sapporo Station. I ended up taking that one back which the front desk helped me reserve a spot for. Location: The location was great, it's not right against all the other big hotels so it's not so crowded but it's within good walking distance to the site seeing areas. Facilities I was blown away by the facilities. To be honest I would totally give it 5 stars if I had not visited the old building's baths. They are indeed old. When I was there, the outdoor bath was being renovated so I used the indoor basement baths which were HUGE. The only problem is that they are indeed old. All around the bath was this darkness. Not sure if that was mold or whatever but the new building's baths didn't have any of it. The new building is definitely 5 stars. Everything seems brand new. The outdoor bath was my favorite. I would spend as much time as possible up there to enjoy the view and the nice breeze while soaking half or less in the bath (so I could stay out longer)! The decor in both buildings were amazing. The floors, artwork, walls, all the embellishments. It was very beautiful and exquisite. I took many pictures. There are many places to lounge around and enjoy the views outside in very beautiful fluffy sofas, seats, chairs, etc. Room My room was amazing. It was very large and had 2 nice big fluffy arm chairs. I moved the table and turned the more comfortable one towards the window during the day and just sat their enjoying the view for a long time. I might have even dozed off a bit. The decor was also amazing. Even the tissue holder had wood carvings! The bathroom walls were nice but the bath fixtures were pretty dated. But that was fine since I spend all my time in the outdoor bath on the rooftop! They give you a large 2 liter bottle of water in the fridge which is nice as well. They had very nice yukatas to wear which were very comfortable. The obi was also quite long and double sided so you can use whatever side or style it to have both sides showing as you like. Some people had some very creative ties. There are also very nice large baskets for you to use to bring your towels and toiletries with you to the baths in 2 different colors. If you get a bit cold, there is a very stylish shoulder padded vest you can wear over your yukata as well (or over your regular clothes as some people do as well) . Also there were 3 pairs of sandals you could choose from of different sizes. Small, Medium, Large. Outside the room near the elevator there were extra yukatas of different sizes (in case you needed a different size) and some bath accessories (brush, shower cap, cotton swabs and cotton pads, etc). Food I had the buffet dinner and breakfast. The hall for the buffets is ginormous and with huge windows and nice chandeliers. For dinner, there are window stations for sushi, ramen, tempura (they are literally frying up the tempura right in front of you), and roast beef. Many many islands full of western and eastern food. Overall the food was pretty good. Great selection. Tons of desserts from fresh fruits, icicle pops, soft serve ice cream machines, cakes, jellies, etc. There are multiple drink machines all over the place which makes it a bit more convenient. The staff are pretty good at coming to take up any extra plates. The window seats can get a bit hot in the mornings. Overall I would love to come again when I'm in Sapporo again and have time to visit Jozankei. I think I'll just stick with the new building baths next time.

The room was spacious and the view was good. Overall it was a good stay, but I kind of not pleased the condition of hot spring(Onsen). It looked old and corners of the tub were not clean comparing other Onsen hotels that I stayed. Its AM/PM buffet was too busy and if you go a little late, there were not much food left. So i had to lined up before the restaurant opening. If hotel guests have different entry time (like some other Onsen hotels) it might ease the madness in the buffet restaurant.
