Where to stay in Jozankei
Jozankei hotels & accommodations
We took a bus from JR station not knowing they have a free shuttle from Odori Park. The fare was cheap and we enjoyed looking at all the stops. Using waze when we neared Jozankei the bus stopped outside Jozankei Hotel. We should alight here as Hana Momiji is opposite Jozankei Hitel. But waze says it was still 1.3 KM away. There was no English name Hana Momiji outside t...
Recommended to stay only one night, cause there isn't much to do at Jozankei. Hotel is clean and facilities are acceptable, food was average, but overall worth it's price.
Location is smack right in the middle of Jozankei town area (is a pretty small town). Is quite an old ryokan but is spotless and well maintain. Staff are friendly and try their best to communicate in English, although the older male staff can be quite abrupt at times. My dad has a wheelchair and this place is quite handicap friendly. If you are having a meal at their J...
This is our unforgettable onsen hotel. The hotel are beautiful with classic design and some zen look area. The hotel staff are warm and helpful. They gave us a 5 star service. And we want to thank Mr. Yuri Fujiwara for the excellent service. My 2 young children enjoyed the big onsen so much. We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. Everything is just fine for us. Sure...
Our experience at Shogetsu Grand Hotel was the best part of our Hokkaido trip. The room we got was very big and the onsens were beautiful. Our dinner was served in our room so we felt really private and relax. We would defenitely go back to Jozankei and stay in this hotel again.
The food, service, location were all very good! Will stay here again if I visit jozankei next time
Booked our stay 1 week before travel period. Comfortable room for 4 with buffet breakfast included. Onsen was also good but it's more clear water than sulphur type. Walking distance to nearby Jozankei shrine and Futami suspension bridge.
This hotel is highly recommend if you come to stay at Jozankei. The spa and facility was very nice. English speaking staffs and very helpful. For children, there's the mashmallow to grill at the fireplace while you listen to the live music. The dinner was excellent. It's one of the best hotel dinner from my trip. There's also the pillow selection available at the spa, ...
This onsen locates at the centre of the Jozankei. The hotel provided a lot of facilities for different guests. They have games room, onsen, big souvenir shop and karaoke lounge. Everyone can enjoy the holidays in this comfortable hotel.
This is a spa & onsen hotel for local Japanese, staff do not speak English. The most important part is there is no bathroom inside the room, you can only take shower in the public onsen with others, may be is a not comfortable for a tourist like me. The view around the hotel is magnificent !!!!!
Its an excellent hotel with many facilities like even a swimming park for kids, onsen in basement and even in the rooftop, location is great and rooms have really great views. Buffet dinner and breakfast have pretty good choices. HOWEVER, as its one of the biggest hotel in Jozankei with kids facilities, the main problem is that there is just too many people there, yo...
This is an older less expensive hotel. Lots of families with kids. Large dining room with buffet for breakfast and dinner. If you are on a tight budget and have or don't mind a lot of kids, it would be ok. If you are a couple looking for something romantic, this is not it.
Thought it takes time to go there from Sapporo (direct bus), the place is recommended. On foot each place in the town can be reached and a bus station is close by. For those who like to get away from the big city its a perfect spot.
Jozankei is near to Sapporo city and easy to access here!. Will come again

Located at the edge of Jozankei, Grand Hotel Zuien is easily accessible from both Chitose Airport and Sapporo Station by bus. This is the last stop so you can't miss it. The lobby and rooms offer great views of the river and foliage in autumn. Onsen area is clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner buffet offers a huge variety of food. Over good recommenda...
