A Shonan Trip for Senior Couples.”

My spouse and I stayed at this hotel to experience the autumn of Shonan in October, where the weather still felt like lingering summer heat. It was a calm hotel with the best location. The sea, Enoshima, and Mt. Fuji were all beautifully balanced. We enjoyed a relaxing breakfast with an extraordinary view of the sparkling Shonan sea. Surrounded by refreshing staff, the sea along the Enoden line is a wonderful place to refresh oneself at any age. Thank you for a pleasant holiday, both to the hotel and its staff.

A relaxing coastal retreat with stunning views and outstanding service”

Nestled in the tranquil Shichirigahama area, this dated but charming hotel offers a relaxing escape with stunning views of the ocean and Mount Fuji from the guest rooms. The highlight is its restaurant, where you can enjoy meals while overlooking the sparkling sea—a truly breathtaking experience. The hotel is conveniently located just a 7 min walk from the train station (or you can take a shuttle bus) and 2-minute walk from the coastline, where a local bazaar is held every alternate Sunday. This bazaar adds a delightful cultural touch to our stay, and the area is dotted with charming coastal cafés, perfect for a leisurely afternoon. While it’s a few train rides away from Kamakura, the hotel serves as a base for exploring Kamakura and the surrounding attractions. However, guests should note that the hotel still uses 2-pin outlets, so bringing your own USB adapter is necessary. What sets this hotel apart is the outstanding service from Nakata, who went above and beyond to assist us. As first-time visitors, we were unfamiliar with traveling from Kamakura to Hakone, but Nakata patiently provided detailed maps, photos, and instructions, ensuring we knew exactly where to purchase Hakone day passes. He also shared invaluable insights on must-visit spots in Kamakura, making our trip smooth and memorable. Overall, this hotel is a relaxing retreat with breathtaking views, a serene atmosphere, and exceptional hospitality. While the facilities are dated, the location and service make it well worth the stay.

Fantastic view for ocean facing rooms”

Stayed at 2 ocean view rooms, 1 for Hollywood twin and the other being the Twin room. Hollywood twin had a wonderful view of the ocean along with Mount Fuji view. The other room had a spectacular ocean view though view of Mt Fuji was limited. Room was big but a bit dated. Location of the hotel was average and on sloped hill. Eateries around the area was limited in the evening, some restaurants even require prior reservation and do not take walk-ins. Fortunately we had a car and could drive to the town area for our meals. Car park though available is chargeable for 1000¥ per day/night. Would still recommend the hotel for its magnificent views especially sunset.

English: Incredible for the Price”

We first got to Shichirigahama Station later in the evening after a SERIOUSLY long flight, taking the train from Haneda. Just remember to go downstairs for the Enoden line. We missed it twice because we got a little confused. I blame the jet lag. When you first see the area, you see the wide stretching bay and the lighthouse in the distance. While there is a complimentary shuttle to the hotel, the walk to the hotel was nice, though uphill. We were too tired to check out the food nearby, but they looked amazing, and they were highly recommended by the staff. The front desk clerk spoke English, and got us quickly checked in. We headed to our rooms, and the ones we got showed a beautiful view of the bay. The sunset glittered across the water, and you could see the lighthouse in the distance. We didn't stay long, but on our way back to Shinjuku we stopped at Hase Station to check out Kotoku-in, to see Kamakura Daibutsu, or the golden Buddha. It was honestly pretty phenomenal! The shops around were normal food and souvenir shops, but I ended up buying two iron wind bells. I highly recommend going to the area just to check it out.

Nice hotel in Kamakura”

The hotel was situated near the Shonan shore so that most of the rooms can enjoy the nice seaview / Island view from their rooms. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel staff are very nice and helpful. They also have shuttle bus for free transfer to the nearest tram station. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any tourists who wish to stay in Kamakura!
