Find hotels near Khao Takiab in Hua Hin / Cha-am, Thailand

Came by private car. if you don't have a vehicle, you need to budget for overpriced taxis. otherwise, I really like Khao Takiab. The beach is beautiful and largely uncrowded, with a notable absence of hawkers. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, and appointed with modern furniture. The pool is very nice and inviting. Staff is terrific on almost every level.

We booked this hotel because of the free waterpark admission. The waterpark itself was fun and the hotel was new, clean and the staff was friendly. The views from the roof are probably the best in Hua Hin right now. The pool doesn't get a ton of sunlight so it is cold but the view from up there can't be beat. The location is a bit of a tease. There isn't much around it within walking distance although you can see the main strip right across the train tracks. However there is no way to walk over to that strip and you need to take a taxi. There is a 7/11 and a local restaurant across the from the waterpark and there is a big Tesco next to it but in terms of finding a restaurant that isn't at the hotel then a taxi is needed.

Wora Bura is a beautiful hotel with a character. We love the room decor and the rocking chair at the balcony. The staff are all professionally trained and spoke excellent English. The pool size was just right for the development. The direct access to the beach made the walk to the Khao Takiab temple a lovely one. We had a great time at Wora Bura and certainly look forward to returning again.

For this price you get the very best out of it. Hotel room is very nice. Upon arrival staff greet you with a smile. We did not manage to check into the room that we book but instead rearrange with another room (different view). We like the bathroom as it comes with big tub and a separate shower area. Shower water pressure is very strong. Air cond is very cold. If only our room is with super king size bed instead of 2 queen bed. Hotel facilities is good. Swimming pool is small but still acceptable as not much people using it. One end of the pool have jacuzzi and the other end is kids pool. Hotel spa massage is good. Hotel Location is close to weekend cicada night market but further away from town centre. Need not worry about going to 7-11 as they have 24 hrs counter selling snacks and water. Breakfast is good too but choice is not a lot. Staff is so helpful as they help us to book our bus ticket back to bangkok. Whatever queries you have they will help you with a smile. I will return again in future. I hope the staff will continue providing their best service with a smile.

The hotel has a good swimming pool and deck area right next to the beach with access to the beach. When we were there we could walk directly into the sea from the hotel steps. The hotel needs some minor touching up but the design is great with big rooms, bathrooms and balconies. Breakfast was good. The location, as well as being next to the beach, is central to Takiab between the weekend market and Takiab headland.

We spent the week in agony, the beds are as hard as concrete, our backs could not take it. The apartments other than the bed are good, we had a junior suite, it was not exactly like the pictures but it had two bathrooms. Our other main issue was the pool, there were about eight sun beds in total, for about 70 apartments, only two of these were in the sun, ideal for Thais who stay out of the sun but no good for European people who enjoy the sun. The location is good for both Hua Hin and Khao Takiab, but it is near the fly over and a temple which means noise. Getting the room cleaned each day was hit and miss, as the staff did understand very little English, especially if you had a query, such as I did when I arrived, I asked for a mattress topper which they either could not or did not want to understand, I do know that they are readily available in the shops. So to summarise if you like hard beds and do not intend to sunbathe it might be the place for you.

The hotel room is clean and cosy with very big bed which can accommodate up to 4 persons. It is located very near the Cicada market and accessible to Khao Takiab by their bus. However, in the event of heavy rain, the hotel area (and corridor) gets very wet. And as we were staying in the corner unit, the splashing of the rain water even caused our room to be wet. But hotel staff were fast enough to help clear and dry the area for us. Breakfast was not too bad either.

Got the 2BR apartment at Agoda at a promotion rate. Not easy to find the place as the name of the development is in Thai and the English name is not obvious. Most drivers do not seem to know where the development is. Apartment is of a very good cleanliness standard and our family of 2 elderly, 3 adults and a 2-year-old boy had a comfortable stay with our helper taking the sofa. Toilets, towels and beddings were very clean. Water pressure is good and water heater was working well. The free WiFi is good. TV was not working well but the staff reacted fast and helped us to tune it. Location is a bit far from the town. Around 20, 30mins with transport to town? The concierge could help with the arrangement of transport. The beach is not exactly near but we had a nice 20mins walk to the beach in the evening. There isn't really any street food or massage parlours nearby, just a small Family Mart where we bought our bread, butter and cheese for breakfast. Mostly restaurants at the beach area. There is also a restaurant further down towards the town but you need to know which lane to turn into to get to the restaurant. Food is not bad there. The Wat Khao Takiap temple, Cicada, Breeze Spa at Amari Hua Hin are at a good driving distance away.

This place is very new. The room is quite big. It could hold upto 8 ppl max. The room condition is very nice and clean with everything you need in it. However, this place is a property for rent, not the hotel, so do not expect for the hotel reception or bell boy. The key will be leave at the security personal at the entrance. In overall, this place is worth for the money you have paid. I really appreciated it.

Very well designed n equipped villa good for family in restful environment. A bit far from town. Costs IDR 20,000 each trip to town. Have to book the van taxi for the next time going out whenever we get back to the villa since its a fair distance to walk to the main road and may have to wait a while to hail any taxi. Kitchen well equip with coffee machine etc but have to buy your own oil, soy sauce. Pepper salt and other herbs provided. There is a very tight limit on electricity consumption per day so even though we were careful with switching on a/c and only at night since we are out during the day , still end up paying extra IDR800,000 for 3 nites stay. The limit set is way too low considering the villa rate is on the high side. It takes a while to get familiar with the light switches etc. too many The lady who takes care of the villa and also does the cleaning is not very friendly , English also not very good so have difficulty in communication. Also have to pay for use of the bicycles Aside from the above, overall good stay but would have been much better is the person in charge is more welcoming.

Small hotel in Khao Takiab area. Our rooms are spacious and clean. Staffs are friendly and helpful. There is a small pool, which you cannot really swim. Choices of breakfast are limited, but delicious, cook-to-order and more than enough to fill the empty stomach after a morning run. Highly recommend the hotel if you look for a small, quiet place to lock yourself in for a night or two.

Very professional staff. Some serviced condo hotels are not well managed and can be a hassle to check in. Not the case here. Great place. Not in the tourist area but with a scooter everything is easily accessible. Close to the best beach in Kao Takiab and only ten minutes by taxi to the nightlife area near the Hilton. Great for long stays as they offer daily weekly two week and monthly rates! Superb!

This Villa is super excellent. Highly recommend to all of you. You should not miss the chance to be a boss in this grand villa. Highlights of the villa: - Superb villa experience with the swimming pool - All the furnitures looks good and relaxing - 3 rooms with 2 washroom (including 1 master room with make-up area) - Cool air-conditioning (excellent at hot night in Thailand) - Living room is large enough to have parties - Security is good as there is a guard in the entry - Helpful staff for house-keeping and book local taxi for you in 24 hours - Swimming pool is clean, but water is a bit cold at night - Lighting is more than enough - You can enjoy the night view with numerous stars on the Rooftop (with wine~) P.s. We are totally 4 males and 3 ladies in our trip. It is enough for 7 people to accommodate. If you are more than 7 people, you can sleep in the soft which is not worse than a single bed. Enjoy. Super new hotel, nice sized rooms with good clean facilities and a great balcony overlooking the pool. No need to book the more expensive poolside rooms, which to be honest do not appear that private. Clean fresh rooms, good parking and nice friendly staff, out of town a little so transport is a must. However a real haven from the noise and chaos of Hua Hin. Fantastic large clean swimming pool which we all enjoyed, especially our 3 year old. Negatives… the builders were in adding a smallish extension, noise was a bit annoying but not excessive. More annoying were the ornamental sea shells they have hanging over every balcony. They do look pretty but in the wind they crash against the balcony railings and believe me the noise is horrible and a quiet nights sleep was not possible. On windless days not a problem, but we stayed 5 nights and the wind was strong.. It wouldn't take a day just to raise the hanging so that they did not bang against the railings. We did complain but got the Thai shrug and nothing was done, seems petty but it really spoilt our stay and I am surprised management don't act. Other negative not one single English speaking channel on the TV. We would stay

No complaints about our two nights at the Riad. Located on a quiet side street south of Khao Takiab, the hotel is ingeniously laid out around a central pool area, and our "Sleeping Cat" rooms on the ground floor opened directly onto the swimming pool. Well-appointed room with everything necessary, including an ensuite jacuzzi we did not even use. Breakfasts were decent without being exactly stellar, and were served in a pleasant covered area opening onto the pool. The "cat" motif is everywhere, and is quite sweet. The resident cats were well-behaved, but if you happen to hate cats, this may not be the place for you. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The Riad is not right by the sea, but a short walk (c. 300 metres) gets you to a beach (Suan Son Pradipath) that is - in our opinion - much better and less touristy than Hua Hin itself. There is also a good golf course close by. If you have a car (we did)) there is limited parking under the building, and songthaew buses run from the Supatra-by-the-Sea restaurant a short distance to the north, and will take you all the way to Hua Hin for a fraction of the cost of a taxi. Plenty of good seafood restaurants not far away in Khao Takiab. Considering all these benefits, and the fact that prices were reasonable, we were surprised to be almost the only Westerners in the place, and to learn that 90-95% of guests are Thais, mostly Bangkok weekenders. I would have expected others to pick up on a niche boutique hotel such as this, but perhaps tourists really ARE sheep, or maybe the Riad owners ought to get their website going properly: it has been "under construction" for far too long.

H2 Hua Hin Residence is a beautiful place. It has everything you need; a pool, gym, market next to the hotel. If you want to go to the centre, beach or night market just rent a scooter or take a tuk tuk/taxi. It's only a couple of minutes drive. The manager Baan is a wonderful guy, I was privileged to get to know him a bit better. We had some nice conversations while we were both working out at their gym. He helped me out with a couple of things, great guy, great manager. Thanks again Baan for making my stay memorable! Hope I can visit again one day.

If you are a market lover, this is the place. But be careful if you're having a luggage. There's no elevator, imagine carrying a big luggage to the third floor with steep steps. There's considering when a child coming with you too. I did a mistake not to read the detail of extra charge 300 Bath when booking, as I assumed that it could be the same as the others that a child ageing 0-12 staying for free if using existing bed. Here is not, it considers the height, while my 8 yrs old boy growing up than usual kids, so I ended up paying extra that almost cost me 1,400 Bath in total. It's fine if paying extra, then you'll get breakfast and extra bed. The extra bed here means a pick nick bed sheet for sleeping on the floor. The bathroom is so clean. However, considering this final price, there are some other places offering breakfast, swimming pool at the same price to think about. Parking slot is limited.

We stayed in Baan Peang Ploen for 2 weeks during burning season (in North Thailand). This place is located close to Khao Takiab beach, has 7/11 and Tesco right next door and in a sleepy resort area. The room had a nice small kitchen and living room with all basic necessities. Bed was not the best possible and desk was little bit too small for my personal needs. There was no internet in the room. They have nice big and clean pool in Baan Peang Ploen that we enjoyed. Our nearby favourite was the local harbour bringing fresh seafood that was both affordable and delicious.

The hotel is located off the main drag in Hua Hin, in a place called Khao Takiab, which is charming. It is about a ten minute walk from the beach but most people would probably just hang out by the long pool. The rooms are more like condos (in fact I think some people own some rooms or rent them out long-term) so expect spacious rooms. The vibe is chilled out. The breakfast is sub-par but passable and the service was reasonably prompt though check out was needlessly 5 minutes too long. Overall good hotel at the price but could use more landscaping.

We planned to visit Vana Nave and our first choice was Anantanaka, as it is within walking distance of Vana Nava. The hotel staff was very helpful. Room (read villa) was very spacious. There were 7-11, Tesco Lotus and wet market was within walking distance. We were offered free breakfast. Overall, we had a very good experience. Will be happy to go there again, if needed. On the way back to Bangkok, the van was available just within 2 mins walk.

This cozy home hidden on a small soi in Khao Takiab, Hua Hin. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy some quiet time away from the busy streets of Bangkok. Upon arriving we were greeted with a complementary drink and worm welcome from the Man and the Lady of the house, Kasha and Shaba, two cute and playful french bulldogs. The design of the house, room, garden, restaurant, the funny sign hanging everywhere make you feel very comfortable very quick. It`s a very eco friendly environment great for some relaxing time with family , wife, husband or even alone. They have many areas to relax, balcony`s , garden, hammock, etc. Each room has a different design, but the space is enough, clean and nice. The service is great. Everybody is very cheerful and wonderful creating a great vibe. The food , coffee, cocktails are awesome. I can tell you from the beginning that even if it`s a guesthouse not a hotel and many people probably would comment that for the same money you can go to a nice hotel...You are wrong...It`s very difficult nowadays to find a nice place in Thailand where the service , the food, the room and the people are wonderful and make you feel at home. Sea Harmony offers everything. And it`s a lot above b&b or even 4* hotels. We did not have any complain. Everything was perfect. I just wished we could have stayed more. For anyone thinking of going to Hua Hin for relaxing. This is a great choice. Don`t expect a very big beach in the area with a lot of sand like Pattaya or Samroiyod. Everywhere inside Hua Hin city the beach`s are very short and the water comes until the shore quickly in the afternoon. But it`a still a very nice and clean beach to relax. This is not a minus! If you want long and sandy beaches you can go more to Pranburi and Samroiyod. Getting back to Sea Harmony we had a lot of fun, specially with Kasha and Shaba and for sure we will be back !
