Kings Cross St. Pancras hotels & places to stay

We arrived at 1 AM because of flight delays, long long time at British Immigration at Heathrow, 45-minute wait at 10:45 PM at the Underground for the train to arrive, 1-hour ride from Heathrow to Kings Cross/St. Pancras. Thank God the hotel reception is 24hrs. Check-in was a breeze, the receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was small but expected. It looked new or recently renovated, very clean. We had to leave at 8 AM and so did not have time to enjoy the hotel or explore it. However, if we return to London, we will definitely stay here again. It's 5-minutes walk to Kings Cross/St. Pancras station.

I was travelling with my parents (elderly). The place is perfectly accessible (walking distance) to main train stations ie. Kings Cross station and St Pancras International, as well as red and tourist buses. Halal food is easy to find as well as convenient shops such as Costcutter and Nisa local are just 5 mins walk away. Tourist spots such as Camden Town (accessible by bus 214), Oxford St (few buses 73, 390), British Library (walking distance), British Museum (walking or bus) are just minutes away. Westfield shopping centre at Stratford International is just less than 10 minutes away by fast train taken from St Pancras International. This is a perfect place worth for money and save a lot of time if we are travelling with elderly or kids.

Very good hotel, recently renovated, nice style and clean. The hotel has recently been transformed into a Pullman hotel and is in a restyling process I guess. Everything looks clean and nice. The location is at a 5 mins walk from the Kings Cross station, St. Pancras International station and Euston station. The rooms have a nice view over the city, even at the lower floors. I had a superb look over the St. Pancras renaissance style train station. Reception staff sometimes shows a lack of interest. More complex questions or phone calls can be handled slowly. Ask for a room with good Wifi reception: I've had the impression that some rooms haven't.

Really good. We book a 8pax private room for a family of 5 just so we can enjoy the privacy. The facilities in the hotel is as per what you've paid for which is budget but sufficient. You will have to have your own daily essentials and thats about all. Security day and night is very strict and it gives comfort to us on safety perspective. Their cafes and chillout lounge are very modern and hip providing privacy and at the same time room to mingle. They are about 15mins walk from Kings Cross St Pancras station however it there's no signage from the station so one can easily get lost if unprepared earlier. They provide lockers for baggage storage at fee on hours count. Their staffs are really friendly and helpful. They provide free walking tour around town. They even help us book taxi. For a city hotel..this is really value for money. Highly recommended for those not into 5star sort of stay.

We were travelling with our 9 month old son and the room is a tight fit with our travel cot, but other than that the room was lovely, clean and well appointed. It was also four flights of stairs up and no lift, which was tricky with the baby. The location is fantastic, minutes from Kings Cross/St Pancras stations and the tube, and a number of convenience stores and restaurants/pubs close by. A great place for a stop over or an extended stay in London.

My first time in UK trip for our couple was nice cuz of this hotel also. We chose this hotel cuz we will go to harry Potter and go to Paris by euro star early morning at st. Pancras station. The hotel just cross the road from king's cross / st. pancras station. The hotel was tiny but clean and modern bright in the room. Before we arrived there, I sent email to request G floor cuz i will be there before boyfriend and had problem with carry big luggauges, and they allocate room for us. the staff was helpful and give me a hand for any help, for microwave service a few times, recommend us how to go many places and especially, Bruno. As my boyfriend wanted some more breakfast, bruno said only one set served per person but he still give my boyfriend bacon and sausage, how kind he was!! The breakfast was great and have many choices with cereal and milk. In summary, I definitely will stay here again next time when visit uk for sure. Only comment is prefer higher heater cuz so cold in Febuary.

For a short stay lone traveller this is perfect, a bed, somewhere to clean up, TV. The room was clean and fresh, with cable TV, shower and toilet. Supplied were clean towels, soap, shampoo, shower wash and a kettle with tea and coffee.The lack of a phone wasn't a problem (I have one at home I haven't made a call from in 6 months!) the wi-fi was good and being in the city, mobile coverage very good. Not too hard to find, very near Kings X/St Pancras. Definitely would stay again.

the hostel was very central; it is super near to king's cross/st pancras. the room (private room) was small but did its job. a bit hot at night, though. showers and toilets were always clean when we used them, there was never traffic at the bathrooms or the breakfast hall. breakfast consisted of a lot of choices and was very cheap (2 pounds each person). staff was VERY friendly and had a lot of good advices for sightseeing and so on. only thing that really annoyed us was the noise at night. the first night some backpackers partied so loud that we had to tell the staff, which told them to turn down the music which the partypeople did. additionally, there were earplugs provided in the rooms. I guess backpackers are aware that hostels can be noisy. besides that it was a wonderful cheap stay in the heart of london.

Nice stay in a clean budget hotel in Central London. The check-in staff was very attentive and took the initiative to change my room to ground level and near to hotel entrance when he noticed i had quite heavy luggage. The location was superb as it is within few mins walk to Kings Cross -St Pancras station where i took trains to and from London. The WIFI can be improved as you need to key in the passkey each time you want to access wifi. This can be rather bothersome esp when you have to key in the passkey several times each evening. Overall, the experience is pleasant

I chose the hotel thinking it was near Kings Cross, in fact it is in Islington which is some distance away. The hotel owners are still in the process of furnishing the hotel rooms. There were no bedside tables, no chair in the room. The room was clean, bed new and comfortable. The staff were friendly and told me that the hotel would have the missing furniture in the next week or so. I had a problem connecting to the internet which was a nuisance as I had work to do which required email access. The hotel is more designed as micro apartments or maisonette, there is a microwave oven and tiny sink which would be suitable for heating a meal and cleaning afterwards. here was a reasonable sized flat screen tv.

Great location for Kings Cross and St Pancras stations; and Kings Cross underground. Literally 1 to 2 minutes to walk there, if that. At the same time incredibly quiet - no noise from the main road during the day or at night, being just one road back. Mattress, bedding and towels very good. Ensuite very clean and smart. Good shower and hot water. Rooms very small but a minor consideration given the comfort and location. No breakfast. I paid £140 a night - which is a lot! - but I did only book about two days beforehand. I think it's possible to pay about half of that if booked well in advace. Overall a clean smart comfortable and quiet little place. Just need to book at the right time to get a good price.

I stayed in a newly refurbished room, with a lovely modern bathroom. Everything was very clean and tidy. Air con/heating worked well. Location was great, with an easy walk to Euston or Kings Cross. Staff were friendly and breakfast, although not greatly varied, was perfectly adequate and tasty with hot and cold options. Only criticism was the window in my bathroom was not flush and therefore was drafty, although this did not affect the main room if you closed the bathroom door. Otherwise good value and perfect for a night or two.

The hotel is in King Cross St Pancras which is 5 mins. walk to underground, overground, national and international train stations. The rooms are quite small but clean. No elevator and the stairway is so steep. The breakfast is just the same daily and very simple one- bread and butter with canned fruits served. But overall I rated it very good because we just sleep at the hotel and do the tour ang shopping.

Booked a room at the apollo hotel for a week and had no complaints. The family than ran the hotel (they did everything! clean, check in/out, breakfast) was super nice. The breakfast was a excellent value, I'd have the full english every morning and wouldn't need to eat the rest of the day haha! Rooms are small, which is the norm for europe but could be surprising for people from north america. I don't think there is a/c besides room fans, so it might not be the best to visit in the summer if it is really hot, but my understanding is that it doesn't get that hot in London. The location is super easy to reach via the kings cross/st pancras rail station just 5 min walk down the street. If you are traveling into london via gatwick airport, which is only about 1/5 hours away, this hotel is super easy to reach! Next time I come to london I will def try to book here.

Stayed here as it is Indian themed and the wife loves Indian food. It's a bit out the way for central London, however, there are quite a lot of bars and restaurants between Kings Cross and the hotel which can be taken advantage of. The room had a TV (which worked), wi-fi in the Jay restaurant (which didn't work when I tried using it via laptop and wife's i-phone) a bed, not enough storage, and an on suite bathroom with shower (which ran hot then cold then hot at will). It wasn't the most expensive, I guess you get what you pay for. Towels weren't changed daily, not a problem as the wife doesn't smell that bad! Ordered food in the Jay restaurant when we arrived on the Sunday and I swear he called a takeaway or other restaurant to deliver it!!! It was OK. All in all I wouldn't stay here again as it is too far out of the main city and too basic for my expensive tastes.

Adequate stay for 4 nights. Positives include being only a few minutes walk from Kings Cross St Pancras station. Lots of eateries nearby. Groceries nearby. Room is not small by any means. The bathroom is great. Receptions are friendly. Unfortunately extremely disappointing housekeeping. Receptions told us to place dirty towels in the bathroom floor which we did. Two times they simply refolded the dirty towels and put them back on the bed, maybe hoping we won’t notice? Housekeeping expects us to use refolded dirty towels from the bathroom floor? It happened two nights in a row. Because of housekeeping, I have to give 3/5 stars.

The hotel location it’s really convenient to hoping around city, it stated about 5 minutes walk from the King Cross St. Pancreas which connected mostly every line of Underground station. There’s also train station ( Harry potter platform 9 3/4) to travel to other city as well. They clean your room and toilet everyday. However the room it’s all the while dark even morning. It’s ok for me, cuz it’s a hostel. Clink 261 it’s more quiet than Clink 78 as they have a bar there, if you concern more to rest choose 261. The kitchen it’s 24 hour access too, unless they close to cleaning progress. The room it’s warm for winter, I was awake in the middle of night because of sweating. So no worry for keeping yourself warm in winter here.

My son and I had an excellent time staying at St. Pancras Hotel during our trip in London. We had a warm and friendly welcome by the door man, receptionist and all the staffs we met. The hotel assigned a very clean, nicely decorated room on the high floor for us. We had great convenient to travel around the inner city of London on foot on the sunshiny day, while we can choose to travel by bus or subway or even taxi on the rainy day. We highly recommended this hotel for all travelers (solo, couples, family or even businessman).

We booked this hotel as it was just a short walk off St. Pancras International Station where the Eurostar starts/ends in London. Rooms are clean and the shared bathroom is well maintained. Breakfast option at £5 is reasonable and convenient. Rules are straightforward. Nothing fancy but clean and comfy anyway. Like most other small hotels in London, the absence of a lift makes carrying luggage to/from the room difficult.

My next London trip is next month & I will be staying at the Arriva Hotel for the 8th time. The rooms are small & very basic, but I don't go to London to recreate in a hotel room. The staff is very friendly & accommodating. The hotel is located a short walk from Kings Cross/St Pancras Rail Stations and walking distance for me to the Tower of London, Big Ben, the London Eye where I always hope to see London busker Charlotte Campbell singing & the Camden Market area.

Just stayed here overnight as I missed the last train. The location is perfect, less than 5 mins walk to kings cross and St Pancras, the street outside is fairly quiet. I stayed in a single room with shared bath - yes, the room is very small as others have said, but as I was here for 8 hrs only, perfectly fine. The room and hotel in general is very clean and tidy, which is a cut above others in the area for a similar price. Well recommended, I will stay here again if I can't make a late train or have one early in the morning.
