Emergency services and response times for skiing accidents in Niseko/Hirafu was poor compared to other ski resorts I have been. Medical team took 15 mins to reach me while I froze and only because a family member went in search for help. No surveillance for skiers in trouble even in broad daylight. To be fair the hotel provided excellent support in FOC rides to and fro...
+ Clean environment + Comfort room + Enough space to store ski equipment and clothes. + kindly staff + Good TV, Netflix is great! - No shuttle bus from Kutchan to hotel. - Toothbrush doesn’t replace everyday.
The hotel is located a 5 minute walk from Hanazono 308 (ski centre where you can connect to Hirafu in 10 minutes via chairlifts), 10 minutes drive from Kutchan and 20 minutes drive from Hirafu. For us, it was the perfect setting - a lovely, character-filled hotel, we had amazing views to the mountain and surrounds and were in a peaceful, idyllic location but the skif...
We went to Niseko because we were just curious. We wanted to experience summer in a cold country. Even after reading up on the place, we had a very sketchy appreciation of where the most strategic place to stay. Maps just begin to make sense only after you've settled in and realize where North or West actually is... Here's our imperfect guide. Niseko is part of a gr...
Concierge lacks of most of the information details. Firstly told us we could take the ski lift down if we have no confidence in skiing down the slop. Due to their lack of information, we end up walking down the beginner slope near to 2 hrs. Secondly told us the wrong information of the ski bus leaving for Kutchan Station. End up we have to take a taxi for 6 pax in or...
I reserched and checked with my friends which Niseko ski resorts are best for family with small kids. AYA was one of the mentioned. Since AYA has everything we needed, i.e. good location, nice view, ski access+equipment rent, ski lesson for kids, and private onsen, we chose AYA. I booked a 3-night stay for my wife, her brother, my son and myself during mid of Feb 20...
situated very well at the middle of the hill. if you are taking a bus from kutchan station, the bus stop is just 10meters from the hotel carpark (stop no,7). Hotel is connected to the ski lift, very nice view of the ski slopes from the hotel room. The slope is also a beginner slope, easy for first timer to pick up. You can sign up for ski lesson at the hotel or take ...
I sent a mail asking for public transportation schedule from Kutchan station to their resort while on a train heading to Kutchan and I receive very prompt response before I reached Kutchan, all in less than 20 mins. As next bus was 1.5 hrs away I ended up taking a taxi from Kutchan station for a one way ride of ¥2,100. The place is cosy though the Onsen is not yet open...
Recently stayed 9 nights at Alpen Ridge - our first ski trip in Japan, was an amazing time & we're already planning a return trip next season. Overall it was an excellent experience from the first point of contact with Nico at Ski Japan via email to make all the necessary travel, ski rental and room booking arrangements. On arrival, check-in w Miki was friendly, quic...
Had the best experience ever with my beloved wife during the stay! The room is almost perfect! Food is exceptionally good too! Wish I could spend the rest of my life with my wife in there.
Breath-taking view of Mount Yotei from the room. Rooms were clean. Beds were big and comfy. Place can accommodate up to 6 pax. Comfortable for 4 pax. Perfect location for skiing/ snowboarding, just a 2 mins walk away from the Hirafu Gondola. 5 minutes walk away from the supermarket/ convenience store.
Best location, you can come nap after your morning snowboarding, you are close enough to the supermarkets and the beds are nice and spacious. Clean facilities and close enough to an onsen just up the road. Will definitely come back - met some AWESOME people here
Great place in middle hirafu, near to the slopes, rhythm rental, awesome food places. Everything within walking distance and also next to shuttle bus stop. Great place and service by the team too! They picked us from the Welcome Center, helped to arrange our transport from Chitose airport to Niseko Welcome Center. And also recommended and helped to book restaurants as ...
The chalet itself is complete except there is no kitchen knife. Some board games could be included. They could upgrade their tvs to smart tvs with internet access as all channels are in Japanese. There is nothing to do in the area other than to go somewhere to ski. Restaurants are few and they may not be opened on particular days without reason - best that you call the...
A**** Great Hotel, Loved staying here always looked after :) was so good Apple TV in the room heated floors carpet was so thick and comfortable, beds were amazing! that good hard to get out of in the morning to hit the sloops! would stay again! :)
Staff is awesome, drove us to Kutchan train station after our stay. They were very accommodating... had to add a couple extra people and luckily the room had additional space.
A house with snow, peoples a very nice; they could help you whatever you wanna know and find the place on Niseko. I'm lucky to choose it with my snowboard jurney.
Great Location and staff here were super helpful with lunch / dinner suggestions and bookings. We'll definitely stay at The Fresh Water Apartments again.
First of all for 2 dollars usd difference get the breakfast! Great mix of continental and Japanese options, it cost patrons 700yen if you didn't book the breakfast online. The first bus to Hirafu at least as of winter 18/19 ran at 7:50am and came back last from Hirafu at 10:30pm costing 340yen to the intersection and 390 yen to the lifts. Location wise I enjoyed it...
Have a really lovely time with 4 adults and 3 kids. Apartment is big and design was lovely. Fully equipped kitchenette, washer and dryer. Friendly receptionist and a driver who can take you where you wanna go if you inform in advance. It's really pricey though but guess that's what you expect during peak season at hirafu.
The hotel just nearby the tourist area with few hundreds meters to everything. The most important was the room rate very reasonable price even at peak season. The room is clean with kettle, freezer, heater and comfort to stay. The toilet that sharing was clean(3 toilets at ground floor, one lady & one men bathroom(time using from 3pm till 12am midnight). If you go for ...
I enjoyed my stay very much. The only issue, which is beyond the owner's control is that the road to this property is steep and slippery. I fell down once. A fellow renter also fell on this road.
Arrived in the early morning at Welcome Center without prior notice to the hotel. The owner came to pick us up and able to check in immediately. It is a very decent and warm B&B sytle accomodation, with the great hospitality. The owners are very friendly and accomodative. A sportive family :) The location is good, walking distance to the Hirafu Skiing area (around 1...
Booked this accommodation for one night. My family was on the way to Hakodate. Location is a little difficult, as the road that leads to the place is not very eye catching. Not recommended if you do not drive. This is a house with 3 different units (I think). It is relatively new. We occupied one of the units. It has 2 levels, the hall and dining on level one, and the...
If you're planning to stay around the Niseko area, THIS IS IT, I, with all my credit, believe me please, guarantee. And I would simply have to say that my stay at the hostel couldn't have been any better. I'd say this in several terms. 1. Clean. Not dirty at all, perhaps neater than most households. 2. Friendliness of the staff. While I for the moment do ...
5mins walk from the center, clean, staff were really great, they will drive you anywhere in niseko as long as their car is free! Great service!
It was really lovely here! Especially if you're after a traditional experience (we got the private room for more privacy- I would recommend this option) - I especially loved the bathhouse (I've never seen anything like it actually...) Everything is carved out of beautiful wood inside the house, and being surrounded by trees covered in snow when you walk outside in the ...
Very comfortable and easy to find. The owner was very responsive and the apartment is clean, modern and very well equipped. It is within walking distance to great cafes, restaurants and the slopes. Would love to go back again for a longer stay:)

My EcoLodge has exceeded my expectation. All Staff were so friendly, very clean room even the common toilet & shower. I initially thought The room is very small, but it is more than enough for us. Spacious to put all our things. We stayed in a room for 4 pax with 2 bunk beds. The breakfast and dinner is superb. Shuttle bus made it easy for us to go to and fro from to...
Even though I have to depend on the pick up service, I enjoy the 2 nights staying in Gurigura very much. Esashi and his family make it a dream house. They presist in living a healthy and simple way of life. I enjoy talking, reading and listening to Esashi's guitar with Mary, the lovely Japanese girl we stayed during these days. No matter there was sunny blue sky or s...
You can get much cheaper accommodation and the same nice powder somewhere else in Hokaido.
Staff is awesome, drove us to Kutchan train station after our stay. They were very accommodating... had to add a couple extra people and luckily the room had additional space.
It is near to the Seicomart - the most visited convenient store in Hirafu area, as well as the Public Bus station if you coming from Kutchan JR, and many other eateries within walking distance. Interior is cosy, awesome home breakfast. Oh.. the host has a set of very nice audio set :) I walked from the house to Hirafu dot base for snow sport. There is a slope to walk ...
We were here to ski and the hotel was perfect for that. It is just a touch (1.2km) out of town. So if you're not partial to a little walking it might not be best for you. However, I thought it was a perfectly fine accommodation! It's not the hilton, but go stay there if you want that kind of experience. If you want a relatively authentic, comfortable, and affordable st...
We had a splendid holiday here. The hotel location is great, just a short walk from the Hirafu Welcome Centre, and the Hirafu Ski Base. There are also many supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The rooms are clean, a bit small though, with daily housekeeping. Buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Heater works well and Wifi is strong, The view from our r...

This was the first place I stayed during my first visit to Japan. This place is a kind of homestay with very welcoming couples. They helped us familiarize with the locality and also dropped us off to Kutchan station which is ~20 min ride. The room was very nice, warm, cozy and spacious with a beautiful view. This is one of the best place I have ever stayed.

Stayed there for 3 nights. Owner (Toshi-San), is very helpful. But he doesn't really speak English. (Try google translate) Clean and comfortable room with breakfast included. Location is pretty secluded which is good for me. Slightly hard to find the place at night when it's snowing. Cafes are within 15mins from pension.. Would recommend this place!!! UPS!!!

The stay at Niseko Pension Grandpapa was great. Warm welcome from the host during check in and try their best on our enquiries. They speak well english. Provide shuttle van during pick up at kutchan station as well. Nice breakfast with hot soup especially in cold weather. Strongly recommend for other guest. Walking distance to grand hirafu ski resort with nice scenery ...
We stayed at the Popcorn Lodge for a week and it couldn't have been any better! Alice and James are amazing hosts and made our stay at the lodge very pleasant. The helped us out whenever we had a question or needed help and made sure we weren't missing anything. After a long day on the slopes we would always come back to the lodge with a fire burning in the cozy common...

We stayed at Alpine Central for 4 nights. Jenna and Rhys were very helpful and accommodating. We arrived late and Rhys came to pick us up from Kutchan station even though it’s after his working hours. He even sent us to the convenience store as all the restaurants were closed. Accommodation was cozy and there was a communal washing machine. The lounge was a good wa...

Absolutely heaven on earth. Such a beautiful property, relaxation opportunities are incredible. Would highly recommend. The most impeccably maintained resort we've ever visited. Five stars on every level.
My 2 days stay at Konkuriito, Yuki Uchi was fantastic. However the heater was not working very well when we were there and it was snowing during that time hence it was pretty cold in the room. Other than that, everything was good. They have everything we need and the house was big and clean.

Hokkaido tracks confirmed my original booking in Powder tracks, but they tried to switch me to another apartment called Yamashizen, which is also under their management. I stayed in that apartment before and specifically didn't choose or agree to the switch because of its inferior location compared to Powder tracks. However, Hokkaido tracks didn't give me any choice,...
Only one toilet and bathroom is not good enough. Facilities older compared to other HT hotels. Shuttle bus services almost not available.
Fantastic staff to help you out. Free phone to call Restuarants. Clean and very comfortable.
Great! Although there was a leak in the bathroom sink, all other amenities set-up were excellent. It takes some time to get from point A to point B, but everything can be conveniently arranged in Niseko. My husband and I would definitely like to come back to Hangetsu the next time we have a longer stay in Niseko.
We liked this property very much and we regret not to have booked it for a longer time. The property is close to central Hirafu with great views of the hills and mountains , and plenty supermarkets, bars and restaurants to choose from. The great thing about the property is you can cook , wash yourself, includes all home appliances you would need. Great place!
Great stay, no complaints. HT service was a few minutes late to puk us up but we made the airport shuttle bus so everything worked out. In a quiet location, but a short walk gets you in the mix of bars and restaurants. Highly recommended !
Pros- friendly service, super soft bed and pillow, stylish rooms. We came during off peak time in sep and we had the whole communal area to ourselves which was really nice Cons- if you come during off- peak times their famous breakfast place is not open, but the substitute restaurant Musu is not bad too
Prefect with quality service, good location which is next to the gondola, provide free shuttle bus service runs around Hirafu & Kutchan. Staff are friendly & helpful. Onsen is nice & clean. We will definitely choose this hotel again if we're going to Niseko again.
Ms Rowena from HT holidays took great care of us. The apartment meets our needs and exceed our expectations. Thank you and see you soon. Five Stars in all regards.
