"If you're looking for a good central place to stay with a nice pool area, this is a good option right across from Santa Lucia plaza. Just keep in mind that lowest priced rooms are not great and book something better. Best rooms are facing the courtyard/pool area. Some rooms smell moldy/musty, so make sure to see the room first before accepting it. I also suspect they give worse rooms if you book via a third party, so you may want to book direct instead. We were first assigned a Superior room (highest level) with 2 beds on the top floor facing the pool. It was nicely appointed with comfortable mattresses and a huge bathroom. However, it was the last room left, likely because it smelled extremely moldy. Airing it out didn't help, so we moved down one floor to a slightly less upscale room with 2 beds and harder mattresses. This room had a faulty toilet but we decided to deal with it as there were no other rooms left at the hotel. On the plus side, shower pressure in the rooms we saw is amazing, and showers have huge rain shower heads. A/C is quiet and works well. The pool area is amazing with hammocks and loungers, perfect for relaxation. Breakfast at the steakhouse attached to the hotel is included. You can select any dish from the menu and you receive juice and coffee as well. This is a nice perk as the food is well-made. Make sure to tip the waiter, or they'll remind you that tip is not included. The same restaurant also provides room service during the day. We would definitely stay here again, but would probably only choose a specific room in the Superior category."
