Where to stay in Merida City Center
Merida City Center hotels & accommodations

The Hyatt Regency in Merida is a great hotel, just a 20 minute walk from the main town square. The room was clean and spacious, with a large in-room safe. The staff were very friendly. I did not try the in-house restaurants so cannot comment. The pool area was stylish, but the pool would be better if it was heated... the water was very very cold. Otherwise it’s a grea...

my parents and i had a pleasant time in merida largely due to the excellent hospitality provided by alex, the super generous owner, and his super friendly staff members at hotel hacienda merida. not having access to water due to maintenance issues for a while, the owner generously provided us free breakfasts during our entire stay, and even prepared some snacks for our ...

Everything about this hotel was amazing. The staff is super friendly and knowledgable, service is perfect, location is the best you can get - walking distance to all of the center plus Paseo de Montejo (about 20min walk). The room and all of the building is beautiful and the pool is amazing and you WILL need to dip in because it’s really hot in Merida. The best part of...

We had a great stay at the hotel; rooms were lovely, and breakfast was delicious. Staff all had excellent knowledge of the local area and gave us great recommendation for food and drinks, events that were happening, and travel tips! The breakfast was delicious, it was a shame we booked our flight so early on our 2nd night and didn't get a chance to have it again!

We love the hotel, the staff and the location. Fifth time staying there in 20 years.. The location is just a long block from the city center where one can find plenty to see and do. We found the best tacos ever across the street from the cathedral, and cheap. Merida is more Spanish than Spain (I have been to Spain) NOTE: take bug spray because the hotel is “open air”,...

Beautiful building. 5 mins walk to the cathedral. Our pool facing room was quiet in the evenings. A couple of free drink options available in the lobby. It was nice to chill with a coffee or juice before heading out into the heat of Mérida. Good massage available in the spa for $600 MXN. Off street parking (we had a hire car). Big rooms with good AC. In room safe ($500...

Stayed there for 4 nights Nov 2010 and found the staff there to be very helpful, the room to be nice and the hotel to be centrally located in a beautiful, well-maintained older part of the city. There is a restaurant (didn't eat there) and travel agency (can give you info on city tours, excursions to Chichen Itza, etc.) located within the building. I would definitely s...

We had a lovely time at Fray Diego. The staff were very friendly and attentive. It was easy to walk to all the attractions downtown. The hotel is quiet and peaceful and very clean. THere is a small safe in every room. The beds and pillows are very firm, but we felt the beautiful colonial architecture, calm atmosphere and friendly satff more than made up for that.

The place has definately got potential. The next hotel housed in the same building (former monastery) is amazing and perhaps Caribe can walk over and have a look. Hotel room very outdated, it was clean, but furnishing is old and design isn't really thoughtout (closet opens onto the bed). There was a pool, but deck chairs are wrecked. You do get a good view of the cathe...

Charming spot,a gem, a first class experience at a very reasonable price. Open courtyard, fountain and gardens, comfortable couches and convenient tables. Everything is spotless and staff is warm, friendly & helpful. Owner is on hand, accessible and attentive. Great food in the restaurant.. The shops are the best in Merida. The location is perfect. We truly could not b...

The only serious issue was that if your booking is through Agoda you will have to pay at the end of the trip and they will try and charge you a different rate entirely. Ours went from $53 a night to $78 dollars a night excluding taxes. Agoda need a good rocket over this issue as not only is it embarrassing to find out you haven't paid but for the rate to raise so muc...

This description and photos do not do this place justice! As our first visit to Mérida, we had our initial hesitations about wandering off the "typical tourist" path but this hotel (and city) has completely changed our perspective. Once you reach the center of the city, the architecture, streets, and overall environment have an old European Spanish influence and feel. ...

Just one night between two main archeological sites. Room was relatively big (for 4) and clean and the bathroom too. Easy accessible by car and reasonobly close to downtown (you have to use tha car anyway). Internet working well in the room. Breakfast not included served in a sister structure across the street, it was fantastic! Buffet with 4 different types of fruits ...

We left the hotel after one hou...

This property is gorgeously curated and the team working here is so attentive. We were always impressed by how they knew when we were arriving back to open the gate and have our key ready. The recommendations we received of where to eat and what to do were fantastic too and took into consideration our preferences and a variety of price points. Breakfast was phenomenal....

This hotel is an amazing beautiful oasis in the heart of Merida. The staff were super friendly and went our of their way to make our stay relaxing. After a day exploring the sights of Merida and history of the Yucatan, it was great to arrive back "home" at such a beautiful haven.

Really good stay at the Kook Art 57 Boutique. Unrivalled staff with particular gentleman called Eduardo who really went the extra mile to be helpful. We were two female travellers and were given really helpful advice and great service throughout our stay. Pretty little hotel with charm and fantastic value for money! Highly recommended for a cheap and cheerful quirky ...

This hotel was by far the best hotel we stayed in during our entire trip around Mexico & that includes Cancun. The owners were so helpful & informative when it came to booking excursions & things to see & do in the city. The hotel itself was clean & luxurious.
Cheap places to stay in Merida City Center

We arrived at 07 pm with confirmed booking by Agoda but at the reception they told us that they don't work with Agoda or Booking. I believe it was a lie and that the room was given before to other people, because I've never had such problems with Agoda and because I trust in Agoda. So we went to another hotel: Posada del Angel, nearer to city centre and also with park...

For Mexican Standards and the price the hotel was quite good. Of course you can not expect a 5 star hotel, but it was clean and quite. It is about 35 min walking distance from the bus station. About 10 min walking distance to bars and restaurants. The shower was not the best, but it was ok. The staff at the reception was friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff was als...

Absolutely one of the nicest hotels during our Mexico trip. We definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Hotel staff is the best. No request was too much and they are really friendly and willing to suggest nice places to go for sightseeing and eating. We travelled with a one year old baby and they just go the extra mile to make sure that everything was perfectly arra...
