Nakhon Si Thammarat City Center hotels & places to stay

Didn't do anything in Nakhon Si Thammarat as it was raining heavily for days and flood at the main road leading to hotel. Appreciate if hotel could to provide covered parking for hotel guests. McDonald's and 7-eleven are walking distance from hotel. Nothing much to do in hotel except enjoying the beautiful decoration within the hotel. Breakfast was ala-carte upon check in, but they food were great with great view on rooftop. Will come again on sunny month.

Nakhon Si thammarat feels like a Bangkok suburb. Slightly off city center, this is a little oasis in a big southern city. The people on the staff are very accommodating and always with the famous warm Thai smile. They are the to help their patrons -- there is no doubt about that! Language gap? ... A little bit of body language goes a long way ... They are masters at interpreting your needs. Pick up your 7/11 needs in the day as it is a 10 minute walk at night; however, in my experience, one of the magnificent staff gave me a free motorbike ride to the 7/11 and back late at night -- nice! There are several little places nearby to dine at. Right next door is the Full House bar and eatery where you can find some good late evening nosh and great live music ... seriously talented players. Overall, highly recommended place to cool out on your travels! dcb

Had been advised by my Thai girlfriend about this hotel and decided to book two rooms for 3 nights to allow central access to sightseeing, shopping and experiencing local culture in Nakhon Si Thammarat. Upon arriving found the hotel easily enough with a well placed sign on the main street, and also plenty of car parking (including partially covered spaces too!). Staff were very attentive (despite speaking only Thai), still helpful when catering to our requests for a spare room key and extra water (needed when we feel a bit ill from eating street food). The cleanliness of the hotel lobby extended to the room, with all the modern expectations of a "boutique" hotel met and in some cases exceeded with well thought out attention to detail and Thai style. Especially the breakfast; which offered a good selection of food and beverages to ensure the day started just right. While the bed was a little firm, the house keeping was excellent and rooms made up perfect every morning. The rain drop shower was a nice touch, and there were plenty of power outlets for all our electronic devices. Overall this hotel offers a great alternative to some of the older, more established hotels in the city and is certainly worthy of consideration if staying in Nakhon Si Thammarat.

This hotel offers a very good price. It is in one of the main streets in Nakhon Si Thammarat. Right beside McDonalds. On the street it is easy to walk to 7-11 and other restaurants. The room is very spacious and clean. Staff are local people and can advise you to several attractions. Comfortable beds. Room design is well thought of for guests to put their belongings. The room facing the road could be slightly noisy but quiet down later at night. Breakfast buffet is of ok quality and not great choice. Standard American breakfast with rotating 2-3 Thai food. First floor of the hotel there is a serious gym and boxing place where you can use.

It is not very welcoming to be asked for a key deposit immediately on arrival, particularly as the charge for the "key" (a plastic card) was about five times its value. Breakfast was nothing special - no real care taken over preparation or presentation. The mirrors in the room were too low to be of use to anyone over 155 cms tall ! Because of its situation, this could be a really nice hotel - but at the moment little effort is being made to bring it up to its full potential, and better value can be found elsewhere in the city of Nakhon Si Thammarat.

We stayed here a few times. The hotel is nice and clean. Rooms are in generous size for twin bed rooms, double room are smaller but sufficient. The hotel situated in a good location near a big super market, Tesco Lotus. There are also a few connivence stores around the hotel. The staff are helpful and friendly. There are no gym or swimming pool facilities as such but we can walk to Twin Lotus Hotel and use there facilities at a marginal price. Would recommend this hotel if you travelling to Nakhon Si Thammarat.

This is a superb medium sized hotel & is located on the outskirts of Nakhon si Thammarat town. The rooms are light, bright & airy, beautifully decorated & of modern design.The views are of the surrounding open countryside & on one side extend to the mountains. The rooms, each with a modern TV, are quiet & well insulated from passing traffic on the main road into NST town & indeed from any internal noise.The beds are large & very comfortable. Bed linen & towels are changed daily with great attention given to room presentation & cleanliness. The wet room has a modern shower unit with a constant supply of hot water at all times. The whole hotel is scruples-sly clean & presented to a very high standard, with very helpful staff. The breakfast, included in the room price, is of excellent value & choice. A good selection of both Thai & western fare is available within the comfortable & quiet breakfast room. The hotel is located just outside the built up area of NST town, but is within a few minutes taxi ride into its centre, & 'Robinsons' department store , & a few minutes further on is 'Central Plaza', a very large modern & comprehensive shopping mall .NST town is awash with all kind of shops, stores, street vendors & restaurants catering with Thai & western fare alike. The hotel manageress, 'Pim', speaks excellent English & is a charming lady. She is very attentive to detail & maintains the running of this hotel to the highest possible standard. She is EXTREMELY helpful. The first time I stayed at her hotel, I was marooned there due to flooding of the local airport, back in January 2017. In order for me to move on to another province in Thailand, 'Pim', at her own expense, took me by her own car to Hat Yai airport, 200 miles further south. For this outstanding effort of help I can not thank her enough.

Nakhonsri Thammarat is not a tourist hub so I didn't expect world-class quality of hotels. I enjoyed my stay in the room, particularly the beautiful view from the balcony, overlooking a green garden. Other things in this room were ok, standard amenities. The room was spacious and the bathroom was nice. The staff were not perfect but they did their best and I was satisfied. I recommend that they should include breakfast. But actually, food is not hard to find around that area.

We were travelling with our two daugthers of 5y and 7m and desided to stay in Nakhon si Thammarat mostly to cut our travel time from the Gulf Islands to the Andaman Islands in half. But we were very pleasently surprised by the City as well as this small almost homestay. The couple were so Nice to us and especially to the children! They really took care of us and made this almost a home away from home. The City it self was also great. Interesting and authentic compared to the Islands. We went to the temple and the shadow puppet museum which was very small but interesting. By luck we were there on a saturday and our hosts took us to the saturday market were the sold the most beautiful handicrafts. If you are in the area defenitely go to this City and stay with these lovely people!

Hotel: The staff made us feel right at home, the food was good and the wifi was fast. Nahkon: It was our first time to Nahkon Si and we picked this location by looking at the map and finding something close to the airport. What we didn't know from google maps is that it wasn't close enough to walk to anything. The taxis were great though and all used a meter and standard prices from their company so you didn't have to worry about being overcharged. Nahkon had amazing sea food and fruit. Some of the best I have had in Thailand. Very off the beaten path and very little english spoken or written anywhere.

Went to the "Mahachai Resort" and had the best time of my life. The owner of the resort Tanika speaks fluently English. Staff is very helpful and do everything to please you. Rooms are very clean and in excellent condition. Each villa has their own terrasse, so if you fancy, have your breakfast outside in front of the dschungle. Dschungle starts 5 meter fare away - lovely. You fall asleep with the sound of the birds, and you wake up with the sounds of the birds. It is very quiete there, so you feel very relaxed and even more after getting a massage in your villa or - like I used to do - in Tanikas house. The masseur is very professionell and after a good Thai Massage you have the best sleep ever. The resort is very clean and on request you can order breakfast or lunch/dinner. I was so priviledged, that I had also dinner in Tanikas house. Also a big thank you to tanika, to show me her hometown Nakhon Si Thammarat and do sightseeing. I loved the Museum and especially the local food. It was awesome. It was so lovely, that we are planning, to go back to Mahachai Resort next year. I think this resort is an absolute Insider Tipp! So, Thanks for a lovely stay to Tanika and her family and to "man" to bring me breakfast every morning. See you next year - we cant wait to come back!
