Holiday Inn Express Manila Newport City
Pasay,Manila - View on map
"This is a great airport hotel in Manila. The domestic terminal (Terminal 3) is right across the street (can't walk to it, however). Terminal 1 (international) and Terminal 2 (Philippine Airlines) is just down the road. As long as traffic isn't bad, it should take too long to get to T1 or T2. A free airport shuttle is available on-the-hour 24 hours a day. Note that there is a separate bus for each terminal. The hotel is also right next to Resort World and Casino, which has a shopping mall, casino, and slew of up-scale restaurants. A 7-11 and McDonald's is also at the base of the hotel. Check-in and out was very easy. The staff are very helpful. They even helped me print a document for free. The rooms are a bit small, so if you have a lot of baggage, the room might feel a little cramped. The internet is ok for Philippine standards. The only major issue with the hotel is the noise. With major construction on one side and busy roads on the other sides, it's not the quietest of environments. A high floor room might be better. Overall, it's a nice hotel that feels new and modern. I'd stay again. Once all the construction is done in the area, it will be better."

Okada Manila

"Okada Manila is the perfect place to stay! The best hotel in Manila based from my experience! Was upgraded to Manila Bay Suite. Room was so huge and clean as well as their amenities. Hotel staff were all kind, friendly and accommodating. Food was great from both Medley Buffet and Kiapo. My daughter enjoyed PLAY! Fountain show was spectacular! I highly recommend this hotel. Really enjoyed our stay. Will most definitely come back. "

Solaire Resort & Casino
Manila Bay,Manila - View on map
"Overall it was a good stay, if you are looking for a modern hotel with good amenities than you will get what you pay for in Solaire. Where they get in front of other Manila hotels is that they are the first large scale casino hotel in Manila that can hold its own with Vegas or Macau standards. While they may not do well in those places at least it has some grandoise to boast. We stayed at a club room with club access which offers much of the usual luxuries you would expect from Executive lounges (afternoon tea, cocktails, breakast, etc). That being said, I think they still fall short on maximising the strengths of the property. First off, their restaurant wing blocked a good number of the bay view rooms which kills a great opportunity to see the sunset of Manila Bay in many rooms. I also would not recommend this for families with kids as they have annoyingly strict rules for kids passing through the casinos (as if a 7 year old can slip a bet at the craps table under mommy's nose right?). Thus makes going around a bit of a hassle. And if that wasn't enough, they have one of the most unusual routes to the pool which is again located in a very restrictive area (feels like you can only access it via an emergency exit on the 3rd or 4th floor...and the pool is at the ground floor!) Overall I would recommend this for business travelers, as a conference venue, gaming enthusiast (large casino floor by Manila standards) and for its fine restaurants (we dined at Finestre which serves superb Italian while being surrounded with great digs - I heard tat steakhouse was good too). But give it a second thought if you want a family vacation."

Ramada Encore Makati
Makati,Manila - View on map
"This hotel is relatively new with fresh and sophisticated facilities. Although it’s in makati area, it’s on the far end depending on your usual travel destination locally. Nonetheless it is still relatively near to glorietta and SM malls, few local pubs, the makati itself and nearby cities. The commute is not far flung from metro Manila but be wary when commuting on peak times because there’s loads of infrastructures for war 2018-2019. Taxi is cheap, about 200-400 pesos only when travelling between 2-4 km on a very slow traffic zones already lol It’s still great to travel and taxi around metro Manila’s finest and cheapest. The hotel staff were great, friendly and accommodating. Sadly on check in times at that time, theees only one staff on reception although she managed really well, the system slightly affected as I have to wait few minutes and my roomaircon was leaking. Eventually I was transferred to similar room. The rest was bliss!!!!! Food is great. "

New World Makati Hotel
Makati,Manila - View on map
"this is my 8th visit to philippines and i've stayed at 12+ different hotels, 6+ of them 4/5 stars. for value and location this is by far the best hotel in manila. you can save a little more at other hotels in the neighborhood, but end up walking a bit or taking a taxi to entertain yourself. you can spend a lot more money, get more amenities and more comfort, but again, spend some time to get yourself entertained. shangri-la for example is a better hotel, but you will pay for it. dusit sometimes might be cheaper, but it is a cheaper (feel) hotel in what seems to be a back alley. through agoda, you can get excellent deals. for price, location, comfort and safety new world makati is 5 star all the way and an excellent value"

Grand Hyatt Manila (Multiple-Use Hotel)
Bonifacio Global City (BGC) / Taguig,Manila - View on map
"Housed in the tallest building in all of the Philippines, Grand Hyatt Hotel is perhaps the best in Manila. Service is attentive and helpful. Facilities are well polished and squeaky clean. The pool though is smaller compared to other 5 star hotels in the city. Buffet breakfast has great selections. "

Eurotel Las Pinas Hotel

"I don't like Manila as a rule and only stay there on my way to better places in Philippines. But I happily recommend this hotel for nice rooms and dining and excellent staff. We had a couple of problems during our stay and the assistance provided by the staff was excellent. And being able to just cross the busy road with help from the doorman if you need to access a first class Mall was good too.... *****"
