Delicate, intriguing & breathtaking”
I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Concierge staff speak very good English, they are attentive and very helpful. The restaurant is beautiful, everything is clean, room is amazing. Gym facilities are great. Hotel is quite new (5 years old), previously it was an old colonial French villa that belong to the parliament I think. Just a few things that can improve; Housekeeping - once I ordered for mineral water and tissue, and it took them 3 hours to arrive. Halal option - as a Muslim, there weren't many halal options for their breakfast buffet. Some food items didn't display whether it was pork or chicken. So I had to ask waiter and manager every morning if the sausage, dim sum or porridge had pork in them. They are very nice when checking. The small water vase in the room: The one with pebbles in it. It had some mosquito/fly larva in them. Maybe it's best for housekeeping to check the water content of the glass vase you place on the bathroom counter. But everything else is great. We had a conference there and the Events Manager Mr Eng was super helpful even tho we booked the hall last minute, the tech guy too was great, they had a photographer who took very good photos and our conference was a success. If you need to do a conference or event, I highly recommend Palace Gate because they give you the classic traditional Khmer vibe, that would impress your guests. Some Khmer food served are very similar to Malaysian food (like the satay). Khmer food menu-to-order is apparently halal. And their BorBor dessert (is similar to our Bubur). Didn't get to use other facilities like pool because I was there for work, but would definitely come back again. Also, one day, there were 2-3 Chinese guys screaming at the corridor. During day time. Not sure if they were drunk but I think your windows are not sound proof, but that's ok. Love this hotel. Thank you for everything. I wish Palace Gate Hotel success always. An outstanding hotel in every respect”
We just spent three nights in Phnom Penh and were absolutely delighted we chose to stay here. Location is terrific, the staff were just great, and our Royal Suite Double Room with Balcony was spacious, comfortable and clean. The roof bar is delightful (great viewpoint!), as is the restaurant -- and the food there is very good too, including their superb buffet breakfast. Spa was also excellent, and both our massages highly rated (at a reasonable price). The landscaping of the common areas is a delight, as is the amazing selection of artwork adorning the walls throughout the hotel. This is a world class hotel, and clearly designed with a lot of love and attention to detail. If we traveled to Phnom Penh frequently this would undoubtedly be our go-to hotel. Wonderful.

Greeted with a drink and a quick and efficient check in. Lovely room which was a great size with a balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast buffet changed daily and was plentiful. We loved the sky bar and the happy hour cocktails were fantastic and very inexpensive. Would stay here again no questions asked. Fantastic hotel.

We stayed one night as a treat for my granddaughter’s 18th birthday. We wanted to stay more nights as it was beyond our expectations. Staff were exceptional for their attentiveness & professionalism & always immaculate in appearance. Dinner menu was varied & good value for money. We chose a Khymer dish fish amok which was the best we have tasted 😋. Our bedroom was delightful as was all public spaces. If one looks closely at their works of art on walls just shows what thought has gone into the ambience of this hotel. Could not fault it & would highly recommend for pleasure, business or special occasions. Oh & the breakfast was a culinary’s delight 🤩Looking forward to our next stay.

A lovely & welcoming oasis!”
My husband & I stayed at this lovely hotel for a few days at the beginning of our trip and returned to stay again before our flight home. The hotel is a welcoming oasis with gorgeous grounds and pool, and spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms full of thoughtful details. We really appreciated that our bathroom did Not include disposable mini plastic bottles but had transitioned to the greener use of dispensers and wish more hotels would do this! The food at the hotel was delicious and they have many beautiful spots to enjoy it in. The staff went out of their way to be helpful, and one of the managers, Ms. Sreytouch, remembered hearing us mention that our last night with them was our wedding anniversary and had her team surprise us with a beautiful arrangement of frangipani blossoms—such a lovely gesture! Thank you to everyone at the Palace Gate for a wonderful stay—we highly recommend this hotel.

Palace Gate is a beautiful hotel in a great location, but it is the staff at PG that really sets it apart. I am travelling with my six year old, and the staff have been incredibly kind and engaging - which is not a given with a young child in an upmarket hotel! The breakfast manager remembers my coffee order every morning, and the wait team remember how my kid likes her eggs. We were upgraded to a room with a bath for her when I made a mistake and booked the wrong room, and they've been kind enough to give us a late check out. It's these little gestures that make a stay unforgettable - and a lot easier when solo with a small child! The pool is also gorgeous, and a good depth for littlies. For non-child-related notes, the sky bar has some of the best views in Phnom Penh, and Sony in the spa gave me the best massage I've had in the city! (and we've been here a year, so I've had a few :) )Highly, highly recommended.

I only review when my stay is exceptional, so here it is… Value for money - unbelievable value for an upmarket experience Customer service - amongst the very best I have encountered The fantastic swimming pool - feels like you could be swimming in the jungle! Sky Bar - Heaven at sunset. Restaurant - Always fresh well made culinary delights (faultless over my two month stay especially at breakfast) Location - ideal to access BKK1, Riverfront & Downtown. Accommodation - Mekong River views are available which I loved. The accommodation is clearly designed to make you feel as if you are in your own home. You notice that as soon as you arrive at the Reception. The beds too are really comfortable This place definitely has the edge. All my friends said as much too. After trying a few boutique hotels I finally landed at Palace Gate. Not boutique however the staff gives the warmth you may be looking for in more niche hotels. Absolutely excellent breakfast, beautiful pool, and comfy large room. My stay was made even nicer thanks to the wonderful service of Miss Ro Hany and her colleagues; she shown particular attention and dedication to ensure I would have a wonderful stay. I will be back.

Great Location, Reasonable Price for a high end facility ”
Quiet, attractive high end hotel near restaurants, the Royal Palace and the Riverwalk. The beds are terrific. Staff are well trained and helpful. They have a pretty pool area and nice rooftop bar. The breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful - though not always hit.

Hotel is conveniently located on Street 240, surrounded by many cafes all Within walkable distance of you can bear the heat. Otherwise tuk tuk is a affordable option. Sisowath quay is just behind the hotel too. Staff are friendly, hotel is clean. No complaints at all!

Good value for money, our room was spacious and very well-appointed. Clean albeit a bit dated. Staff was warm and welcoming. Massage at in-house spa was so relaxing and surprisingly reasonable. Good location too. Walking distance to National Museum and Sisowath Quay and less than 10 min tuk tuk ride to Central Market. Highly recommend this hotel.

Had a very comfortable stay while I was there. Two main things that stood out for me was that the staff were very friendly and helpful whenever I needed anything. Can’t say the same for every other hotel in the city. The other was that if you prefer to stay in a quieter location and not be disturbed by noises from the street etc this is the hotel for it. Had a very peaceful stay with good rest!

We were looking for a 5 star hotel in PP for our honey moon and birthday celebration and Palace Gate gave us completely satisfactory. The hotel has timely response on APP for our questions and needs before we arrive. We got upgraded the room, beautiful deco for the bed, and more than stunned welcoming surprises for our birthday/honeymoon. The view is extraordinary. You can see the palace in your window, balcony, and even closer on their sky bar. Must take a look especially in the night. The swimming pool is gorgeous and vibrant. Food is wonderful. BBQ by the pool on Sunday. Service and smiles are comfortable. All in all thanks to them we had an unforgettable stay and we sure will be back soon. :)

My flight to Phnom Penh arrived there early in the morning, but they kindly let me check in as soon as I arrived at the hotel. Then today, because I was so exhausted of my work, I asked them for a late check out. They were kind enough understand my condition and let me stay until 13:30 without extra charge. They will never betray your high expectation.

Room was spacious and clean, bed was really comfortable! Food at Mealea restaurant was delicious. The pool is very relaxing place, surrounded by palm trees. we tried the Spa and we were not disappointed: very professional and attentive therapists! Overall, a very relaxing stay 2 steps away from the Royal Palace and the river front: we will definitely come back!
