An excellent experience”
We moved to the katari unexpectedly and loved it. The atmosphere was very welcoming. The staff were incredibly helpful. Our room was spacious, very comfortable, the bed was amazing, very clean and had everything we wanted. The pool was beautiful, so great for relaxing round after sightseeing. Excellent food from the sky bar. Didnt try the massage facilities this time. The location was perfect, close to everything and always a friendly tuk tuk driver waiting All in all a wonderful stay. No downsides. Thank you to all at the katari.

Comfortable hotel”
Katari was on the whole comfortable. I think we were upgraded to a bigger room altho the staff did not mention. The room looks more dated than expected. However, it is sufficiently clean. The lighting in the room is quite dark. My room was at the side of the hotel where heavy piling works were ongoing at the site opposite for the upcoming Novotel. This is not any fault of the hotel’s but the noise made it not conducive to relax at the hotel or use the pool in the day time. The pool was at 1.4m deep on the shallow end, which i feel is too deep. I enjoyed the hotel buffet breakfast very much. A few dishes were too salty for my palate. The neighbourhood has many cafes and restaurants and less rowdy than in the main tourist area.

Good hotel with a nice view”
The staffs are very kind and accommodating. The room is spacious and has a desk. Good for both working and chilling. The view gets really nice in the evening. Just beware that there's a cafe right next to the hotel and they sometimes play live music almost until midnight. You can also watch sunrise through the windows.

Satisfied guest”
Fairly new hotel. Excellent decor and very clean. Room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was sufficient and acceptable variety was offered. Short distance to city centre at a tuk tuk price around $4. Staff was always willing to help. Good thing was that hot water was available whenever a shower was required. Kept our bags for two days while we went to Kampot/ Kep before returning. Excellent value for money.

Nice, clean, great location”
This hotel is very nice and clean. Staffs are very helpful. Breakfast is great, have variety of salad and fruit. Brown coffee shop is at the corner, near many restaurants. I love that they have big bathtub, so my toddlers can enjoy water when we want to rest at the room. Fitness might not have much equipment, but better than have none.

Cannot improve”
We’re reserving there again this year. No complaints, but some guests might possibly be annoyed by construction noise in the area. Still, construction is next to impossible to avoid in desirable neighborhoods, so the hotel is as close to ideal as anyone can get. I recommend it highly.

Everything was excellent except the Coffee”
Great room, great facilities, great staff. Just stay away from the coffee that is served with breakfast, it's terrible. Fortunately there is a Starbucks, Coffee Bean, Brown's, and several other coffee shops nearby.

Prime location and clean place”
Very good location - there’s Brown cafe & Starbucks which are less than 3mins walk away. Tube cafe just only across the street. Two 24/7 supermarkets (In & Out and Super Duper) to get stuff you need. Mok Mony, a famous restaurant, is just beside the hotel. Then there is Malis, another famous restaurant, just few metres away. Closeby to many hipster cafes/restaurants as the hotel area is BKK1 - either take a TukTuk (many hunting outside the hotel), book a TukTuk via Grab (which is far better as it’s cheaper!) or walk using maps. I walked a lot during my trip to cafes, markets and shopping malls. It’s a nice way to see the locals and absorb the city! Weather is blasting hot but not humid!! The staffs at the 3rd level for breakfast buffet aren’t really friendly nor approachable except a manager(?) wearing a suit he was nice. was it because i’m a solo traveller.....? but lobby reception staffs were overall decent and friendly. all in all, would return to this hotel for the prime location & cleanliness!

Exceptional”
Really good service, and good value for the money. Everything was kept really clean. Breakfast was good, the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was some loud construction noise outside, and the staff upgraded us to the other side of the hotel, where we couldn’t hear it, and didn’t charge us any extra! Great views from the pool area, and the location was excellent - many restaurants and bars, etc. , were very close, and the markets and malls were not far (2 - 4$ in a Tuk Tuk). Plenty of taxis and Tuk Tuks around, and the hotel staff were good at getting one to take you anywhere around Phnom Penh. They could also arrange tours from the hotel. If we ever returned to Phnom Penh, I would rebook this hotel without a doubt.
